In The Apocalypse With My Sacred Dimension System
Chapter 209: Tell Me The Truth!
Roxanne, who was near the girl, also held her breath when she saw Theodore pointing his black sword toward the girl’s neck; for some reason, she felt threatened when Theodore did that to the teenage girl.
It’s just that Roxanne also had no intention of stopping Theodore because she was also suspicious of the teenage girl; no matter how you look at it, this teenage girl is very suspicious.
Considering that the teenage girl suddenly got into their car which was protected by a magic scroll which could prevent anyone from penetrating the shield created by the magic scroll and now the girl was saying that she just walked into their car.
"I won’t hesitate to kill you if you don’t answer my questions honestly. Who are you, and why did you get into my car?" Theodore, with a sharp look in his eyes, tried to intimidate the girl as much as possible so that she would answer him honestly.
"You can call me Celia. I’m a native of D City, to be honest, I’m sick of living in that place, and I saw that your car was not attacked by those crazy people, so I decided to come in," Celia explained clearly, her face still showing no emotion whatsoever.
The teenage girl, who turned out to be named Celia, stayed where she was without flinching even though Theodore had a sword pointed at her neck.
"Wait, are you a native of D City?" This time, it was Roxanne who asked Celia; she did not expect that Celia was a native of D City.
"Yes. I really don’t want to be in this place. I’ll do anything as long as you guys let me come along. I can fight, so you don’t have to worry about me hindering your journey." Celia quickly explained herself so that these people would accept her.
Roxanne, who heard that it was almost melted, looked at Theodore. Roxanne thought that they should negotiate this first because they still couldn’t believe Celia’s words, but Roxanne also felt sorry for her.
"We’ll consider it as long as you tell us what’s really going on in this town. After what happened before, I’m sure that the citizens of this town are acting like crazy," Theodore replied calmly; he wasn’t going to let go of this opportunity just like that.
Whether Celia was lying or using them, Theodore would not let Celia go without giving him valuable information about this town.
"I’ll tell you if you promise to let me stay here," Celia replied firmly. She even looked Theodore right in the eyes.
Theodore chuckled when he heard Celia’s words. It seemed that it was not easy to deal with this little girl. Honestly, Theodore did not expect Celia to dare to respond to him like that.
"Then it wouldn’t hurt me to kill you here; after all, you were the one who carelessly got into someone else’s car," Theodore smirked, slowly swinging his sword to scratch the side of Celia’s neck.
Celia also did not expect that Theodore would be that blunt and immediately intend to kill her after he lowered his offer; she slowly panicked when she felt the pain in her neck, and blood began to flow from the wound.
"Alright, I’ll tell you!" Celia immediately agreed to Theodore’s offer while closing her eyes; unconsciously, she clenched her hands in frustration.
"If you immediately agree to it, I won’t have to bother hurting you. Next time, don’t think about bargaining with me because I don’t mind killing people," said Theodore while chuckling and pulling his sword from Celia’s neck.
It was only this time that Celia cast a glare at Theodore, she reminded herself not to look for trouble with this person in the future. Celia also thought that she had gotten into the wrong car, but since it was already done she could only entrust her escape plan to these people.
"Why are you silent, quickly explain the situation of this city to us," said Theodore then immediately urged Celia to speak.
"Let her compose her sentence first. Why are you suddenly rushing like that?" Roxanne, who had been silent, immediately spoke up because she felt sorry for Celia, who was being questioned by Theodore.
Theodore just shrugged his shoulders unconcernedly and kept his attention on Celia. He would immediately act if he saw suspicious movements from her.
Before starting her explanation, Celia took a breath first; after calming down, she began to explain the situation of D City to Theodore and the others.
"I’m sure you already know that before these zombies appeared, D City was famous for its many crimes. This is common knowledge, so I’m sure you understand," said Celia, starting her explanation.
"Most of the criminals here have something to do with drugs. So, the point is that people go crazy because of drugs, but I heard that it’s a new type of drug. That’s why people go crazy and can’t be controlled if they consume it," Celia continued.
After hearing Celia’s explanation, Theodore realized what was happening in this city. In his previous life, Theodore had heard about these drugs, but he didn’t know that the source was this city.
"No wonder they are so brutal like that. It turns out they are under the influence of drugs," Roxanne nodded her head in understanding.
"Then, does it have anything to do with the fact that there are few zombies in the city center?" This time, it was Geoffrey who asked. After all this time, he had been silent while enjoying the action provided by Theodore.
"Yes, actually, originally they used this drug so that they could survive in the midst of the onslaught of the zombies, but after the zombies became fewer, they became dependent, and so it became like what you saw before," Celia replied moodily.
"Then are you using the drug too?" Theodore finally asked Celia about this.
Celia firmly shook her head, "I never used that drug. The reason I was desperate to get into your car was also because I didn’t want to go crazy like them," Celia replied moodily.
After hearing that Theodore also looked at each other with his two friends, he knew that they would not mind if they had to accommodate Celia. It’s just that Theodore is still suspicious of the girl.
With heavy consideration Theodore finally sighed and said, "For now I will let you come along, but remember I will watch you if I see any suspicious behavior I will throw you out of this car."
"Yes, I know that I must look very suspicious right now. But, believe me, you won’t regret letting me tag along," Celia replied confidently.
Roxanne also smiled happily when she heard that Theodore had finally allowed Celia to stay with them.
"And now the problem is that your body is full of blood, and that could attract zombies to come," said Theodore, glancing at Celia’s face and body, which was completely covered in dried blood.
