Indestructible Body Of Vajra Of The Village Leader
Chapter 1591 - 1227: Secrets of the Shattering Void
All were utterly shocked the moment they saw the Immortal Bone Relics of Guang Chengzi, feeling their spirits ensnared. Though they knew the person in front had passed away many years ago, or his spirit had journeyed to some unknown Foreign Realm, and his physical shell was devoid of soul, the impact on their spirits was still overwhelmingly strong.
This feeling was akin to a starving, destitute beggar’s soul suddenly breaking into a wealthy mansion full of opulence and abundance, witnessing the immortal-like comfort of the rich, a spiritual revelation even stronger than this, so rich in its spiritual essence that mere words could not fully convey it.
Among those present, only Jiang Dali and the Mongolian Emperor felt slightly less affected; the former, being an expert of the Returning to Truth Realm, had a Spirit Realm and spiritual power far beyond others, while the latter had seen the Immortal Bone Relics many times, thus somewhat immune to its effects.
Jiang Dali stepped forward a few paces, clasping his hands in respect towards the lifelike figure of Guang Chengzi, then studied the Immortal Bone Relics attentively.
Even by mere observation with the naked eye, Jiang Dali could see the density of muscle and bone in this body, its entire form seemingly transformed into some unknown hard substance, praising it involuntarily.
"The body uncorrupted, yet fragrant beyond measure, truly worthy of the legendary Immortal Master Guang Chengzi. This has reached the Esoteric Sect’s highest ideal of the ’Bodily Buddha’ Realm. Legend has it that Chuan Ying, who shattered the Void, achieved this Realm. Now it seems that Immortal Master Guang Chengzi has evidenced the Broken Vajra, dwelling in that same Realm."
"Broken Vajra, it is said this Realm slightly pales in comparison to the legendary Shattering Void. Yet, upon studying ancient texts, I understand this Realm isn’t lesser but rather a different path of choice."
Wang Yuyan approached gracefully, her beautiful eyes focused on Guang Chengzi, speaking softly.
"Oh?"
A strange expression flickered in Jiang Dali’s eyes, musing briefly, "It appears you have researched this before. Any new insights?"
Wang Yuyan said, "Shattering Void, as recorded in the texts, is the spirit leaving the physical shell, the heart traveling to another profound world, seemingly supreme and divine. This is also the spiritual supremacy pursued by Buddhist and Taoist sects. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
As it is said, ’Nuwa forging stones already absurd, yet further absurdities create greater wastes. Losing the true Realm of spirits, phantom encounters with this foul carcass.’
As Buddha said: ’Shed this foul carcass, hold aloft the sun to gaze upon the rivers. Majestic green waves free of turbidity, a thousand-mile flight across the sky.’
Both Tao and Buddhist schools esteem spiritual supremacy, emphasizing shedding the foul carcass to restore true nature, thus knowing the vast world’s wonders. Yet another saying exists that the physical shell is the vessel of suffering, bearing spirits to the other shore. Without this vessel, the spirit sinks into a sea of suffering. Thus, the physical shell is indispensable.
Hence, evolved the path of Bodily Buddha, Broken Vajra...
During the philosophical discourse, Wang Yuyan seemed even more radiant, speaking eloquently, showcasing a charm distinct from her usual gentle demeanor, appearing confident and captivating. She turned suddenly to Jiang Dali, "Therefore, village chief, I see that this senior Guang Chengzi pursued the simultaneous transcendence of both body and spirit to the other shore. This path is considered slightly inferior to Shattering Void because it is more arduous. One cannot have both the fish and the bear paw; achieving Dao with both shell and spirit is incredibly difficult.
Thus, the path has never been highly esteemed, with scarce textual records, but achieving it undeniably represents a greater success. In my view, the pursuit of Broken Vajra by this senior Guang Chengzi surpasses that of Hero Chuan Ying!"
"Brilliant! Brilliant! This Emperor did not expect Lady Wang to have such insights, truly enlightening!"
The Mongolian Emperor clapped, raising thumbs to Wang Yuyan.
"Your Majesty overpraises, just some humble views of a young lady." Wang Yuyan blushed, lowered her head, slightly curtsying, responded modestly and courteously.
"Broken Vajra... Achieving Dao with both body and spirit is harder than traditional spiritual Shattering Void..."
Jiang Dali pondered Wang Yuyan’s words, his eyes growing brighter, feeling the path of Broken Vajra, though difficult, aligns with some of his thoughts.
He knows that since beginning his martial arts practice, his focus has been on physical Cross Training, with a body of steel and iron that reigns supreme in the Martial World, which is his strong foundation. How could he simply discard this foul carcass?
Of course, the Buddhist and Taoist saying of discarding foul carcass, also implies ’spiritual liberation, All Four Elements Are Emptiness,’ but ultimately pursues spiritual eternity, recognizing the idea of physical dust returning to dust, an undisguised thought antagonizing some of his ideas.
"However..."
Jiang Dali’s tone shifted, perplexed.
Xiao Feng, however, spoke first, surprised, raising his hand to ask, "Since this senior Guang Chengzi has ultimately achieved the Great Success of the simultaneous shattering of body and spirit, why does his body remain in this world? Was there something amiss?"
This question arose in everyone’s minds, and hearing this, they looked at Wang Yuyan.
