In the past, it was a gathering where the true business whales of the family got together to plan the next moves to further the family’s wealth and business.

They picked roles to pass to their children and assigned tasks to those they deemed high-level talents.

But there were also cases where the family council was called to make certain complicated decisions, judge family members, and deal punishments.

Seth, hearing he was being summoned, couldn’t help but feel the latter was more likely to happen, seeing that he had never been summoned before.

Maya frowned as she stared at the twins. "As you can see, he just came to. Doesn’t he deserve to at least rest before he can be discharged?"

Helen shook her head. "We consulted Doctor Tion, and he claimed Seth had completely recovered physically. He can be discharged whenever."

Maya wanted to argue, but Seth placed a hand on her shoulder. Staring at her softly, he assured, "It’s okay."

He then turned to his twin siblings. "Can I at least get something more appropriate to wear? I doubt the family council will be pleased if I showed up in clinical garments." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Henry stepped forward, summoning a pair of neatly folded clothes. He set them beside Seth’s bed.

Staring at Seth deeply, he spoke, "We’ll be outside, brother."

With that, both twins left the room. After assuring Maya some more that he was truly okay, she finally gave him his privacy.

The moment he was alone, Seth’s eyes flashed with calculative lights.

His mind brewed with countless thoughts.

There was a lot he was in the dark about, a lot of basic information he needed in order to piece things together.

To him, it was too much of a coincidence that the Duskreaver estate and its surroundings just happened to be a safe zone.

Plus, there was his Asura King lineage. If he inherited his Grand Weapon Maester genes from his mother, the former had to come from the Duskreaver line.

One thing was sure — there was more than met the eye to this family of his.

Seth didn’t dare let his achievement of slaying a Charmed Beast get to his head.

He didn’t dare be complacent, especially before the Duskreavers. He was strong, most likely one of the strongest out there, but within three weeks a lot could have changed.

The passage of time still felt surreal to him, but he shook his head. "What’s gone is gone."

A round emerald crystal pulsed into reality, levitating before Seth.

One might have assumed Seth had destroyed it back when he was trapped in the Charmed Beast’s soul spell.

But the truth was that what he destroyed was precisely the Charmed Beast’s consciousness posing as the Origin Crystal.

This item had only one function: Ask and get your reply!

It was when he recalled this that he sensed something strange — the Origin Crystal had reached for him on its own initiative.

Which wasn’t supposed to be. Hence why he took the risk and destroyed it, saving his life and releasing him from the loop.

’I was just sad about missing the sale for the Tier 2 crystal, but this should make up for it.’ Seth waved his hands, summoning the Artifact Evolution Serum from his inventory.

A glass vial appeared, containing a multicolored resplendent liquid that seemed brewed from cosmic dust itself.

Sparkling glints shimmered from the liquid like stars trapped in its swirling fog of multicolored lights.

The moment the item landed in his hands, information on how it could be used seeped into his mind.

He didn’t waste time. He popped the wooden lid and doused the ethereal multicolored serum upon the Oracle Crystal.

The round crystal pulsed bright emerald, hungrily absorbing every lick of serum that landed on its crystalline surface.

Simmering cracks began to spread across the Oracle Crystal...

With a faint clattering shatter, the outer layer of the round crystal broke apart.
