Deep within the crater, the golden cocoon pulsed brightly.

Normally, while the Origin did assist in the evolution of life, the level of attention it was giving Seth was unheard of.

The Origin was practically trying to make his evolution as perfect as possible.

Seth’s gaze was overwhelmed by the sea of cold, as a euphoric chill spread through his being.

It was as though he was in his mother’s womb again — being reborn.

Rumbling growls rang out as pale-furred dire wolves, Origin Beasts, slowly encircled the crater.

Their eyes glinted a sinister yellow as they observed the cocoon, dangerous waves of ether pulsing from it.

Their instincts told them this was a treasure, but it also wafted a thick sense of danger, making them unable to approach.

They could only growl and bare their teeth as they watched the pulsing cocoon from a distance.

Waves of awakened aura rippled out of their bodies...

And sure enough, the cocoon began to lose its luster, the torrents of essence calming down.

The cocoon slowly billowed into a haze of ash, revealing a curled naked figure in a natal position.

The wolves’ eyes lit up. Food!

Driven by instinct, they didn’t hesitate. They didn’t assess the situation — they just burst into a full encircled sprint around their prey.

The first shadow leaped forward, its drooling maw gaping wide as it aimed at Seth.

And just when its jaws were about to crunch his neck...

Seth’s eyes flickered open, revealing crystalline amethyst pupils.

His figure blurred, leaving the wolf to bite nothing but dust.

Seth stared at his hands.

’Remarkable.’ He felt like a whole other being altogether.

Every string of muscle held countless times more potential energy than ever before.

Each breath he took drew in both essence and oxygen, his lungs boasting greater capacity and stamina.

The most noticeable change was the rhythmic, drum-like beat of his heart!

As it pumped rivers of blood down his veins, he closed his eyes, reveling in the ethereal feeling.

His heartbeat echoed as a smile lit his face. "Perfect! It turns out I need to test my prowess. Let’s see what an awakened body can accomplish."
