Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse
Chapter 5356: Guided Evolution! II
The words came out casual and tyrannical in the same breath, the way most of his best ideas did, and Ruination and THE Infiniverse looked at each other with shining eyes before THE Infiniverse answered him.
"The large concentrations of Pure Primordial Essence, and now the Primordial Source you have given me, all of it is pulling and tugging at the boundless Infinity that runs through THE Infinite Cause," she said.
"Paired with Persevere and Exelissomai echoing through me every single second, refining me without pause, I have a great deal of room in what I choose to become. I can steer my growth. I can finish my evolution with a clear aim in mind, a resource close to the one they killed each other for in Arkethys. Perhaps, in time, one even grander." She paused, and there was something almost wry in it.
"There is no template for us, Master. We are not walking anyone’s road. We could become anything we are able to envision, so long as it sits within the bounds of the authority we hold. So the envisioning is the whole of the work."
...!
She looked out at the endless plots of Infinite Sacred Herbs, and for a moment she seemed to be seeing past them, to what the fields could become.
"I will begin now," she said. "Giving my evolution a direction should let me finish it faster than blooming aimlessly would..."
As she spoke, the realm began to tremble.
THE Infiniverse rose. Multicolored Infinity glimmered off her in slow waves, braided through with the obsidian brilliance of the Primordial Source, the two great authorities turning together through her manifestation as she bent the whole of her boundless potential toward a single deliberate aim!
An entire Observable Existence, guiding the grandest stage of its own becoming, steering itself toward something immaculate, a domain that might one day grow the kind of resource that civilizations had slaughtered each other over for a million years!
The rivers came to her then.
Through the realm flowed Infinity and Observable Force and Unobservable Force in slow deep currents, and here and there, scattered through the crimson and gold light like dark stars fallen into water, drifted slivers of the Primordial Source.
All of it passed through the manifestation of THE Infiniverse where she stood at the center of the field, gathering the streams into herself, drawing the raw material of the work into one place. She turned her head and nodded to her sister.
Ruination nodded back, and her churning Infinity lines bent toward the open space between them and Noah.
An object began to rise there.
It was illusory still, a proposal rather than a thing, a model assembled from the gathered authorities so that Noah could see what they meant to grow before they grew it.
Rigid silver-white roots formed first, anchoring themselves straight into the spatial fabric of existence, gripping the void the way the Infinite Sacred Herbs did but thicker than they were, deeper, hungrier.
The plant put up no leaves. It raised a single thick stalk, plain and unadorned, with nothing decorative about it at all. And at the crown of that stalk, the fruit took shape, a heavy obsidian sphere, dense and dark and quietly enormous in the way it sat in the air, radiating a direct and unmediated presence that pressed on the surrounding region with none of the softening that most things kept between themselves and the world.
Noah watched the whole of it form inside THE Infiniverse’s manifestation, the proposed resource assembling itself in front of him piece by piece.
Proposed resource, first design for review. Designation: THE Primordial Source-Blood.
Form: A rooted plant anchored into the spatial fabric of THE Infiniverse, drawing nutrients directly from the region’s Prime Cause of Harvest and the ambient Pure Primordial Essence. A single stalk, no leaves, bearing a single heavy obsidian fruit.
Core property: The fruit holds concentrated Pure Primordial Essence within it. Consuming the refined fruit fortifies the foundation and the Source of any lifeform, delivering the full boons of Pure Primordial Essence straight into the consumer’s existence.
Expanded properties under the proposed design:
The fruit adapts its delivery to whoever eats it. A weak lifeform receives a measured, survivable influx that strengthens their foundation without tearing them apart. A strong lifeform receives a volume scaled to whatever they can hold, with no ceiling imposed by the fruit itself.
Consumption quickens the consumer’s rate of progression across the Scales of Existence, easing the forming of their foundation and smoothing the hard thresholds between stages.
The Pure Primordial Essence it delivers carries no alignment of its own, so it integrates cleanly with any path, any Cause, any Ego, or any Source the consumer already holds, refining what is there rather than warring with it.
The fruit regrows on the stalk after harvest, drawing fresh Pure Primordial Essence from the region. In a mature field, THE Primordial Source-Blood becomes a renewable and perpetual supply.
This is the first proposed material. Refinements and alternatives can follow if it does not satisfy.
Noah’s eyes lit as he read.
He turned the thing over in his mind, hunting for the flaw, the hidden cost, anything! He found none worth raising. A renewable fruit that fed Pure Primordial Essence into anyone who ate it, scaled itself to what each consumer could survive, aligned to nothing so it conflicted with nothing.
It was precisely the kind of thing that turned a sheltered Civilization hiding in the dark into a civilization of Existences to be feared!
He had, for once, no complaints at all.
"Let’s go with this one first," he said.
...!
Understood.
HUUM!
The realm trembled harder. The region steeped in THE Prime Cause of Harvest gathered its full authority, and the rivers of Infinity and Primordial Source bent inward, converging on the single proposed stalk, the streams pouring toward one point in the dark.
THE Infiniverse turned the weight of her evolving power toward bringing the first specimen into being, drawing the model out of proposal and into truth.
This was the start of it. The first emergence of a material built for one purpose and one purpose only, to make the long murderous climb across the Scales of Existence feel like child’s play!
It was only the first. There had to be much more for Noah himself to be satisfied as his Tyranny...was insatiable!
