Blood flooded out from the gaping hole as the man fell to the ground. His eyes opened wide.

Carter swung his palm, splashing the blood away. His head snapped toward the remaining bandits. They all jerked back in fear.

Wind wrapped around Carter’s feet as he bolted forward. His knee pressed a bandit on the ground while he slid forward in a blinding speed.

The bandit did not survive after the fact.

He then turned toward the remaining bandits. They, too, could control element to an extent. But all of them used fire.

Carter clenched his right fist. Electricity burst out from under his skin.

"Lightning? How? There are no sacred words for Lightning!" Tenmaru was surprised again.

Air carried Carter toward the bandits as he punched them with his electric charged fist. A shrieking thunder echoed as the bandits scattered in all the directions. Most had died in one hit.

One was still survive. But he was only a Mortal.

"Please... I’m just..."

Carter straightened his hand and sliced that last bandit in two.

The silver-haired man turned back. The prostitute from before cried. A silent tear rolled down her cheek.

"Big brother... Please. I didn’t do anything." She said.

"Go." Carter said.

"Thank you, big brother." She bowed at him and quickly rushed away.

She ran half-way through the camp then suddenly came back.

"Big brother... There are others like me in the camp."

"Go fetch them. All of you can go."

The prostitute bowed at him again and went inside. She dragged the other prostitutes out.

"Don’t look! Don’t say anything! Keep moving!"

Soon, the camp was empty except for two. Carter and one other living soul.

The silver-haired Fighter approached the shack.

"Move out of the way." He said deeply.

Tenmaru immediately stepped to the side. With one single punch, Carter sent the door flying to the farthest wall.

Tenmaru’s heart jumped up a little bit because of the noise.

The silver-haired man looked over to the young man in question. He was around his early twenties. Clean cut hair but still long. Straight back, good posture. And a bright face.

He was also able to keep calm when facing a man that just slaughtered an entire bandit camp.

This one was no peasant.

"Who are you?" Carter said.

"I am Tenmaru. Shinka Tenmaru."

"I am Ginro Musashi. Just passing by. I assume you’re not one of the bandits?"

"How did you know?"

"Not hard to be honest. You do have a certain noble vibe to you. You’re free to go. We have no business with each other."

As Carter turned away to leave, Tenmaru spoke up.

"Master Ginro! Please take me as your student!"

Carter didn’t turn back, "Why?"

"I need... I need to do something."

"Revenge? Justice? Or to defend yourself?"

"For the betterment of this world."

"Hmm. Big talk. I don’t take student."

Carter walked out of the shack. Tenmaru didn’t give up yet. He followed Carter.

"Wait, Master Ginro! Please allow me to go with you!"

Carter didn’t answer and continued walking. A true master should have a certain dignity. Taking student too easy would lower his. He was interested to see if his Twin Formation could be learned naturally.

If Tenmaru could provide himself, then maybe.

But first, a little challenge for this young noble.

Thick red aura wrapped around Carter as he jumped straight up into the sky and disappeared in the far distance.

Tenmaru widened his eyes, "No way! What is even that technique?"

With a few jumps, Carter returned to the Sabaku Village. Bunzo the Elder and a few villagers were standing at the gate.

Carter landed near them.

"Master Ginro! You have returned. It was quick. Did you just scout the area or..."

"It is done."

Bunzo gasped, "As expected of you."

He could never imagine how one single man could wipe out an entire camp that quickly. That must be the power of an Elite. A level he could never understand.

"Why is everyone here?"

"We were waiting for you, Master Ginro. We can’t just stand around while our savior risking his life."

"I wasn’t risking my life."

"Please follow us, Master Ginro. We will begin a feast for you."

"That is unnecessary."

"Please, Master Ginro. It’s the least we can do."

Carter shrugged. It would be too impolite to continue declining.

The Village started to butcher their live stocks. They didn’t have large animal like cows or bulls. But they did have a few male chickens that didn’t lay egg. Some farmer also brought over some rare vegetables and rice.

When it was finished, in front of Carter was a table full of different kind of foods. They weren’t fancy food, only what these villagers could make. But it was their hearts that mattered.

"I am grateful, Elder. Please. Join me, I won’t be able to eat everything myself."

"About that..." A villager looked over to Bunzo.

The elderly man laughed, "Master Ginro is inviting us. We should not embarrass him."

They joined Carter at the table.

The villagers stayed silent most of the time because their sole guest wasn’t speaking. The silver-haired man looked up in confusion.

"I am a man of few words. But please do not let that stop you. Feel free to speak."

A young man immediately spoke, "Master Ginro! How did you deal with the bandits?"

"I killed them."

"How did you kill them, Master Ginro?" Another spoke up.

"With Buki." Carter lifted his finger up and a fire appeared at the top.

He didn’t know what Buki was but he was sure it was some kind of power within this world. He would just use it as an excuse to explain his own ability.

"Oh!" The villagers gasped in awe.

Tenmaru found his way to the Sabaku Village. He bent down to breathe. His wounds hadn’t healed completely yet and he just ran for miles to find Carter.

"Luckily Master Ginro left very clear trail behind. If not, I might have lost him."

Tenmaru followed the stomp prints on the ground whenever Carter would jump and found Sabaku Village.

He heard laughing and talking from the biggest structure within the village. A silhouette of a large man cast on the paper wall.
