"Mikoto! You have finally returned! Look at me! I’m a dragon now!" Seija flew around Carter at the entrance of the Shrine.

Seija was a dragon now, no longer bound to the ground or water and could take flight whenever she liked.

Carter smiled and placed his hand on the green scales of Seija.

"You look beautiful, Seija." Carter said.

The Green Dragon had to lift her jaw up a little. "I know. Hehe."

Seija then looked at Kitsune. "This is..."

"Our third guardian. Her name is Dairei Kitsune."

"Dairei, huh? She is one of the Four Beast Gods."

"She was one of them. She’s one of us now. Come, Kitsune. Let me introduce you to everyone."

"Yes, Lady Mikoto."

Kitsune thought that she would be the strongest among them but reality was the exact opposite.

Seija was the same level as her, a Minor Champion.

Minato was a Medium Champion. The infamous Grandmasters of the Demonic Poison. Even Kitsune had heard about him before.

And that obsidian statue on the altar. Its power made Kitsune tremble in fear.

"So brother Ginro has created the Zodiac Statues." Carter pretended to be surprised and admired the new silver statues.

"That’s right, Mikoto. And these statues are alive! I can even communicate with them. But they aren’t seem to be too smart though."

"It should be that way."

Carter could create more Zodiac Statues than Divine Statues. But they were much less powerful. However, he already had a workaround.

Carter led Kitsune in front of the Fox Statue. "Come and claim your spot, Kitsune."

The Fox Yokai couldn’t help but look at the statue a few times. She couldn’t shake the feeling that everything was going exactly according to Carter’s plan.

As soon as she touched the silver surface, her power and it was connected. The silver statue changed and it now resembled Kitsune’s actual appearance.

She could feel the power of Fate coursing through her. The barrier to the Medium Champion level was weaker.

"Unbelievable. I can grow stronger with it." Kitsune said.

"That’s right. But you have to fulfill your role as a Guardian."

"What is my responsibility?"

"Protect the Shrine and protect the followers of the Shrine. Fate will guide you."

Carter was improvising. He didn’t actually know the answer. He only faintly sensed it through his Divination.

With the master of the Shrine returned, they began to build their own army.

Chiaki used her connections to summon the rebels that hated Ryuja. The rumor that Ryuja kept Lady Chihana against her will was a good card to collect more people.

Before Ryuja, Clan Masuhara was the actual ruler of Jado. A lot of loyalists would fall to Chiaki’s side once they learned the truth.

They also had many other cards to raise the flags. The fact that a god cleansed Giyaku the False City was enough for citizens to flood to Giyaku.

Ryuja didn’t care about his citizens and let the Yokais do as they wished. Giyaku and the Shrine of the Gods promised the opposite. Come to Giyaku and you shall be protected.

Then Carter used the last card. A card of deciding factor.

Tenseitama Shinno Denka was with them. The actual second prince of the fallen Arashi Empire. His name alone gathered even more supporters from all around Arashi.

This time, Tenseitama had the blessings of the gods. The Gods of the Heaven Shrine. He couldn’t lose like last time.

At the same time, in Soukei Kingdom, Hinami was reading the newest information her spies had collected.

"Tenseitama is alive? The blessing of the gods? Pfft!" Hinami covered her mouth and laughed. "You really are hopeless, little brother. Even more than Tenki. Gods... Foolish brother."

In Yuuki Kingdom, King Mitsuhino wad drinking with his men when a servant approached and whispered the news to him.

"Tenseitama is alive?" Mitsuhino laughed out loud. It was a pure happy laugh. "I am glad. If he takes over Jado, me and him could definitely defeat big sister and that snake Busujima."

In Enzan Kingdom, Lord Regent Busujima Hakka read the latest intelligence before passing it onto King Tenki.

"Your brother is alive." Busujima said.

Tenki read everything and sighed, "Do you believe in what they’re saying? The gods are helping him?"

Busujima nodded grimly. "There are gods. Just not our gods. I’m afraid your brother might have become a pawn for the Prime World."

Tenki and Busujima’s dynamic felt like a servant and his king. It was much different than the fact everyone said that Lord Regent was the actual ruler.

Tenki stood up and wrapped his hands behind his back. He watched the grey sky of Enzan.

"You told me that you help me because you saw the future. I would be king and the last man standing."

"No, Your Majesty. I help you because you convinced me to." Busujima said.

"What do you see in the future now? Am I still the winner?"

"The future... is cloudy." Busujima said.

"So it’s true. Some higher force is manipulating my brother." Tenki clenched his fist.

In Rikiro, Oda Yushin was kneeling in front of the ocean. A guard approached him and told him about Tenseitama.

Yushin opened his eyes. "The weakest rat survived. I should have known."

"What should we do, Shogun?"

"We don’t do anything. That area is Ryuja’s territory. We will watch who will survive the battle. Then we will decide our next course of action."

Yushin closed his eyes and continued his meditation. He was using a Mental Art similar to Carter.

Back in Giyaku, while Tenmaru and Chiaki were busy raising soldiers and their new city, Carter was looking at the Shrine Maiden Doll.

[Shrine Maiden Doll]: You may place a portion of your soul within this doll. You may equip the doll with any of your skin. The skin shall receive the appearance, skills and abilities of the original skin that the Doll is based upon.

Carter widened his eyes a little bit. ’Is this the cloning ability I have been waiting for?’

He activated its power. Carter placed his finger on his forehead and split out a small portion of his soul then inserted it into the doll.

The doll had become him. A version of him that he could control perfectly. It was like controlling two different characters within the same game.

Carter was currently equipping Shrine Maiden.

’Skin Doll give another skin its appearance. I wonder what it means...’
