"Huh?" Bai Cheng’s face was full of astonishment.

She glanced at the time. It was 1:30 AM.

Puzzled, she immediately replied, "You’re traveling at night too?"

Yu Nian: "Well, I don’t want you to wait outside for so long! But more importantly, I really want to see you right away!"

But Bai Cheng was clearly more concerned about something else: "Is your train okay...?"

Forcing a journey at night was risky. If luck was on her side and there weren’t many fallen trees blocking the tracks, it might be manageable.

But if her luck was bad... Forget an hour, even half an hour could be enough to drain the train’s durability completely.

This was essentially burning through resources just to move forward!

Yu Nian: "It’s fine! My employees can help clear the way too. As long as I repair fast enough, the train won’t break down!"

Bai Cheng froze. This girl is downright reckless!

But then again, considering that Yu Nian had once been the first place in her own channel, she probably wasn’t poor by any means.

A faint smile tugged at Bai Cheng’s lips. Looks like we can enter the station ahead of schedule tonight.

She quickly replied: "Have you entered the station yet?"

Yu Nian: "Not yet! The big triangle screen is right in front of me. Didn’t you say you still have 10 km to go, Little Cheng?"

Bai Cheng: "You can enter now. I’m heading out immediately!"

Covering 10 km in an hour wasn’t a problem at all.

Yu Nian: "Got it!"

Bai Cheng immediately went to the door and called out, "Chi Yan, clear the obstacles ahead! Zi Yuan, board the train—we’re entering the station!"

""Yes, Young Lady.""

Their voices came simultaneously from different directions.

The next second, Chi Yan transformed into his true form, and his figure was wreathed in flames as he charged into the mist to clear the path.

Zi Yuan nimbly leaped up, taking her position atop the train.

As Bai Cheng moved the control lever, the train slowly started moving, gradually picking up speed.

The mist rushed past on both sides, obscuring Bai Cheng’s vision completely. The only thing she could make out was a faint flicker of firelight ahead.

The odometer on the detection desk began counting down.

Suddenly—

A massive triangular curtain materialized in the mist, looming before Bai Cheng’s eyes!

Even without her input, the train began decelerating on its own.

Chi Yan reverted to human form and returned to the train just as the triangular curtain crumbled into ashes, and the train smoothly entered the station.

[Arrival Station: #2 Snow Mountain Castle Station!]

[Station Type: Team Station]

[Station Description: None]

[Remaining Time Until Departure: 6 hours]

Bai Cheng’s delicate brows furrowed slightly as she stared at the suddenly illuminated screen.

"How come there is no description this time?"

But judging by the name, it looks like some kind of castle?

Without hesitation, Bai Cheng opened the train door. The enclosed triangular space instantly lit up, the light as bright as daylight.

She turned around to survey her surroundings. It was still a single-track station.

In other words, even if Yu Nian’s train entered the station, their trains wouldn’t be together.

When she had first arrived, Bai Cheng had even sounded the train whistle, but there had been no response. This further confirmed that they hadn’t entered the same station platform.

She quickly sent Yu Nian a message, but there was no reply.

"Looks like she’s already inside."

Bai Cheng stepped onto the platform. "Let’s go."

Team stations were nearly identical to solo stations, so she didn’t need to worry about the train’s safety or leave any employees behind to guard it.

As she pressed her fingerprint against the ultra-modern door and underwent an iris scan, a small screen beside it displayed a line of text:

[Boarding Personnel: Pioneer Train Conductor Bai Cheng]

[Station Boarding Fixed Reward: Random Blueprint ×1!]

[Countdown to Departure: 5h 59m]

The mechanical door slowly slid open, revealing a dim, winding corridor.

This time, there was no upward stairs, only a dark, twisting path.

Zi Yuan took the rear while Chi Yan moved ahead to lead the way.

With a snap of his fingers, a crimson flame flickered to life on his fingertip, dispelling the surrounding darkness.

After walking for about three to five minutes, the trio arrived in a vast, pitch-black hall filled with an eerie silence.

Unaffected by the darkness, Chi Yan strode toward the wall and used his flame to light the wall lamps.

Whoosh—

The fire ignited, traveling along a set path and lighting every lamp along the way.

The orange-red glow instantly illuminated the entire hall, allowing Bai Cheng to finally see her surroundings clearly.

A blood-red carpet stretched straight ahead, leading to the far end of the hall.

There stood a throne, one entirely constructed from bones, its edges adorned with rows of pale skulls.

A black robe hung over the throne, and resting against the armrest was a massive black scythe.

But before Bai Cheng could examine it further—

A familiar and anxious voice suddenly called out from the shadows.

"Little Cheng! Be careful!"

"Hide in the shadows—don’t let the light touch you!"

Bai Cheng froze, momentarily confused—

But before she could react, the black robe had moved.

A pair of deep blue lights flickered within the wide hood as a surge of dark energy suddenly gripped the scythe.

In the next second—

It leaped from the throne, moving so fast it became nothing but a blur of black.

A crescent of darkness slashed toward Bai Cheng!

But Zi Yuan was faster.

Clang—!

Her blade flashed, intercepting the black scythe mid-air.

Chi Yan reacted just as swiftly, his flaming fist smashing forward with a scorching shockwave that sent the robed figure flying.

Thud.

The robe collapsed to the ground, the scythe clattered away, and the eerie blue light in the hood slowly dimmed.

"Nian Nian, what did you say just now?" Bai Cheng turned toward the shadows, bewildered.

Yu Nian stood there, mouth agape, her brain still processing the previous scene.

"N-Nothing..."

She stepped out of the darkness, and under the dim glow of the wall lamps, the two finally had their long-awaited offline meeting.

But when Bai Cheng took a proper look at Yu Nian’s outfit, she froze.

She still had her signature curly pink hair that extends to her shoulders, her face was clean and bare of makeup, and she was wearing an off-shoulder pink T-shirt on her upper body.

Below that was a denim shorts, but her legs...

Fishnet stockings, garter stockings, pantyhose, white stockings, black stockings, slouch socks... She’s wearing at least six layers of socks!

Her originally slender legs now looked slightly swollen. And if one looked closely, her shorts also bulged unnaturally. Clearly, she wasn’t wearing just one pair of underwear either.

...Huh?

Bai Cheng’s mind blanked.

However, Yu Nian didn’t seem to notice her friend’s shock.

Right now, her face was alight with excitement and joy at finally seeing her bestie.

"Little Cheng~ I missed you to death!"

With that, she lunged forward—

...And completely bypassed Bai Cheng, throwing her arms around Zi Yuan.

Bai Cheng: ? ? ?
