Early this morning...

Kate and Lina, the only occupants of the female recruits' dormitories, woke up early, as they had already gotten used to.

The moment that she woke up, Kate immediately began doing some warmups, before she began exercising within the dormitories.

She was trying to push herself to the limit, this time, without any consideration of the extreme hunger that would suddenly hit her later on.

The reason why she was confidently working out was mainly because Lina had already secured the energy bars that she was talking about before.

And to say the least, they were extremely effective, that Kate was wondering, just where was Lina getting these things?

When they got there, the two of them realized that they were the first ones there, apart from Peter, who was already waiting.

The two of them, with their recruit numbers following each other, stood next to each other, while waiting for the other recruits.

They did not have to wait for long, as the other recruits began joining them on the training ground one after the other.

Having already used to coming here every morning, despite their numbers reducing, the recruits stood in their positions, based on the recruit number that they had received when they joined the camp.

When Peter saw that every recruit had already arrived, he cleared his throat, to make sure that he had gotten everyone's attention.

Then, he said, "You were already informed the previous day that today, it would be the time that you would be assigned to different teams.

Although you will be assigned to the different teams, that does not imply that you will immediately join them. You will still continue being part of this team, before gaining experience.

You will be taking different missions, and only when you are ready would you be allowed to join the other teams.

So, let me go ahead and introduce the branches and the teams that you can join within NEXUS. And after that, it will be the time for you to reveal the abilities that you obtained, before being given the choices on where you can go to."

Peter went on and explained all the three branches of Nexus, and the four teams of the combat branch.

Thereafter, one by one, every recruit began revealing the abilities that they had obtained.

And as Kate listened to those abilities, she was left momentarily dumbfounded. At the same time, she felt even more grateful at what Michael had done for her.

These guys, the abilities that they had received, as compared to hers, they could be said to be quite low-leveled.

There was one of them who had unlocked an ability that allowed him to be able to improve his strength by 1.5 times.

Another one had gained an ability that would allow him to be able to clearly see things over 100 meters away from where he was.

Currently, there were only five recruits remaining, with all the others already dismissed from the training camp, or passed away from taking the mutation serum.

But for those that will have to join the combat branch, you will decide on your own which team to choose.

So, for recruit number 10, I would suggest that you join the intelligence branch, as they can use your enhanced vision quite well.

But of course, you can still join the combat branch, and you could play an important role during the mission, but you know, the risks will be there.

The same can be said about recruit number 18, as the ability to cast illusions would be quite good for infiltrating, which would allow you to be able to gather intelligence effectively.

But even then, you can also play an important role within the combat branch. As for the rest of you, you are much more suitable for the combat branch, and you can decide on your own which team you will join.
