Kate was not sure just how strong the opponent that she was facing was. But from what Michael had told her, it was clear that this guy was not simple.

Therefore, she understood, while this was an opportunity for her to be able to gain real life experience, it was also a situation where she could lose her life.

The way that Jackson had been talking, it was clear that he was someone with experience. This was definitely not his first time, so, he might not hesitate to kill her.

Even though Kate believed in Michael, and she herself was not sure just how strong Michael was, she understood that she had to act as if Michael was not around.

Despite the surprise that Jack had managed to deal with her first attack, Kate had fought quite a number of times in the training chamber. So, even though it was not in a real life and death situation, it had given her so much combat experience as compared to before.

She had gained a lot, if compared to an ordinary person. The ability that she had gotten, allowed her to be able to imprint some of the moves or reactions that would save her in case she faced another situation that she could not deal with.

Therefore, the moment that her attack was parried away, and Jackson punched towards her belly, she immediately shifted her body sideways, dodging the attack.

And in the next moment, she struck with her knee, aiming for Jackson’s left rib. But the guy had quick reflexes, as he managed to move backwards slightly, dodging the attack.

Still, this was not the end of Kate’s attack. The moment that the knee was dodged, she stretched her leg, turning the knee into a kick.

This time, she was aiming for Jackson’s thigh. But the guy was able to react yet again, as he lifted his left leg, blocking the kick with his shin.

Immediately after that, he tried to counter with a kick of his own, still, Kate was able to react on time, as she dodged.

Michael watched from the side as the two exchanged moves. Still, he was ready to strike at any moment.

Even though there was a distance of several meters between himself and the two that were fighting, Michael had no any intention of closing in. Instead, he was already preparing to strike with the advanced telekinesis ability.

Ever since he had gotten this ability, he had tried many ways of using it. He had done some research, and from time to time, he would also go to the training chamber, to try some moves.

So, despite the distance, and despite the risk, Michael was confident that he could prevent Jackson from harming Kate.

Currently, even though Kate had not managed to reach the potential of her ability, she had improved nonetheless. The speed at which she could improve was amazing.

If Michael could make an estimation, he believed that in terms of both speed, agility, strength and other factors, Kate was on the same level as those that possessed the grade A abilities.

But of course, she was stronger, considering that she would be an equivalent to a person of multiple grade A abilities.

Despite the advantage that she had, Jackson’s ability to be able to deal with her easily implied that there was a possibility that Jackson’s ability was beyond grade A, just as James had previously mentioned.

At the thought of this, Michael realized common he needed to really pay attention to the developments around him. There was a possibility that grade S mutation serums had already been developed.

If that really was the case, that implied that there were several grade S mutants in this world. And of course, Michael could not eliminate the possibility of grade SS mutants appearing.

Hence, he decided, after this, he would have to talk with James. He would have to extract as much information from that guy as possible. Clearly, not all the information that James knew could be found online or on electronic devices.

Because of this, it was difficult for Onyx to be able to get that information. If there really was a need, Michael might need to pay a visit to the headquarters of the death shadow organization.

Kate was also confused. After all, she realized that Jackson had not managed to land a punch on her. But somehow, his attack was stopped.

At that moment, she remembered that she was not alone here. Because of the mentality that she had set, to assume that Michael was not around, she had really forgotten about his presence.

Now that she remembered about his presence, she realized that it was Michael who had taken action. Other than him, there was definitely no one else who would act to help her out in this situation at the moment.

Jackson on the other hand brought his hand in front of him. He looked at his knuckles that had already turned red, with faint blood stains on them.
