Chapter 340: Chapter 333: Arhat

The King and Princess Consort followed Monk King Rajana, soon entering the mountains behind the temple. They walked along a mountain path for nearly half an hour. By the time they were both slightly out of breath, fine beads of sweat dotting their foreheads, Rajana finally stopped before a cliff face.

The cliff face was sheer, rising at an almost perfect ninety-degree angle. It was covered in lush, green vegetation.

The three stood on a patch of high ground, from which they had a clear, unobstructed view of the area before the cliff.

The waters were pristine and the mountains verdant—a truly idyllic scene.

"Venerable, what is the meaning of this?"

The King of Tai Lan asked, frowning in confusion.

"Your Majesty, please look over there."

Rajana pointed in a specific direction.

The King and Princess Consort looked where Rajana was pointing. There, on a jutting rock before the cliff, sat a man dressed as a monk. He was facing the stone wall, his head bowed as if in deep meditation.

"And who might this master be?"

The King inquired. The young Princess Consort beside him wore a similarly puzzled expression.

"That is Boku."

Rajana said, his voice calm.

Upon hearing the name, the expressions of the King and Princess Consort shifted.

In Tai Lan Country, that name was a household word.

Boku was once a young, genius fighter in Tai Lan Country. He was born into poverty but possessed extraordinary Talent. Through a stroke of luck and his Fist Technique, he ascended to the world stage, winning numerous awards and gaining significant influence in global fighting circles. Back home, he was the nation’s most influential athlete. He was even once considered the spiritual leader of sports in Tai Lan Country and an idol to all impoverished Tai Lan People.

Among the Tai Lan People, Boku was believed to be the reincarnation of an Arhat, born with the power of a Divine Spirit. For that reason, no ordinary person could hope to match him.

What puzzled everyone, however, was that this genius fighter, at the age of twenty-eight and at the very height of his fame, abruptly retired. He announced he was leaving the fighting world, shaved his head, and became a monk.

Countless people lamented his decision. From that day on, the champion lived in seclusion. For fifteen years, he remained out of the public eye. No one knew what he was doing, but his name and his legend lived on among the people.

"I’d long heard that Boku was ordained here at the Jade Buddha Temple, but I’ve never seen him in all these years. I never expected to meet him here. But I still don’t understand why you’ve specifically brought us to this place, Venerable. Is it just to see this legendary champion?"

The King asked, still confused.

"Your Majesty, your reign has only just begun. There is much you have yet to truly witness, so it is inevitable that your judgment may have some... discrepancies."

"The previous King always maintained strict control over knowledge concerning this country, the role of the Jade Buddha Temple, and... its power. You may have heard rumors, but you do not know the full details."

"I brought you here today to show you what the Jade Buddha Temple truly represents."

Rajana stated calmly.

He then turned his head toward Boku, who was still seated on the rock.

"You may begin."

Rajana spoke without any particular effort, yet his voice carried a great distance.

"Yes, Teacher."

Boku rose slowly from the rock. He turned and bowed to Rajana.

Then he turned back and walked slowly toward the cliff face.

"The people have long rumored that Boku is the reincarnation of an Arhat. In the past, that was merely baseless speculation. But now... it has become reality."

"Now, he is a true Arhat."

Rajana said with a smile.

’A true Arhat...’

The young Princess Consort’s mouth fell open. She knew that Rajana was called a "living Arhat," but she had always thought it was merely a title. ’How could it possibly be real?’

’The so-called Arhat is just a legendary Fruit Position within the Buddhist Sect, something that exists only in fabricated legends. How can it be real?’

As the new Princess Consort, she knew far too little.

She didn’t understand the true nature of the world.

VMMMM!!

One step. Then another.

As Boku drew closer to the cliff, his body began to change.

His muscles rippled and swelled. The normally modest frame of a Tai Lan person grew increasingly burly and immense. The distinct, granite-like lines of his musculature were filled with a pure, natural beauty.

But the most shocking part was yet to come.

A boundless golden light suddenly erupted from Boku’s body. It shot into the sky, tearing through the mountain mist like a pillar connecting heaven and earth.

The golden hue was utterly pure and magnificent, exuding a powerful beauty.

WHOOSH!!

Suddenly, the golden light violently contracted, forced entirely back into Boku’s body. In the process, his body transformed.

From the inside out, his entire body turned the purest shade of gold. He looked as if he were forged from solid gold—indestructible and immutable.

At that moment, there was almost no difference between Boku and the Arhat Dharma Aspects in the temple.

The Fruit Position of perfect, proper enlightenment.

The Arhat Body.

The young Princess Consort’s pupils dilated and her jaw hung slack, stunned by the mythical scene unfolding before her very eyes.

’A living Arhat... she was actually seeing a living Arhat.’

For the Tai Lan People, devout followers of the Buddhist Sect, the shock was unimaginable.

The King of Tai Lan’s eyes narrowed. Though his reign was new, he had some understanding of the abilities of people like this; he was not as completely ignorant as the Princess Consort.

He knew Rajana possessed the power of an Arhat. If the Monk King hadn’t been guarding the previous King’s side, his predecessor would have likely been replaced by an imposter during the chaos of the Sealing Realm Image’s collapse.

Still, he didn’t understand what Boku was about to do.

Boku soon gave him the answer.

In his Arhat Golden Body form, Boku stood before the cliff. He drew back his forearm, raised his elbow, and then struck out with vicious force.

It was a signature elbow strike from the Eight Armed Fist of Tai Lan Country.

But when executed by Boku, it possessed unimaginable power.

BOOM!!

The instant his elbow collided with the rock, the King and Princess Consort felt the very earth tremble. The vegetation on the cliff face shook violently, and dirt rained down. The force of the blow was no less than a dynamite blast.

The young Princess Consort stared, dumbfounded. A massive crater, nearly three meters in diameter, had appeared on the once-solid cliff face. The stone had been pulverized by the sheer force of the blow.

But that wasn’t the end.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!

Boku then unleashed a furious barrage of attacks on the cliff face.

Elbow strikes, knee strikes, even headbutts.

His movements were a dazzling blur. For a fleeting moment, in a trick of the eye, he seemed to have sprouted eight arms.

A true eight-armed Arhat.

The earth quaked, and the mountain shuddered!

Boku’s body gradually disappeared into the mountain itself. He was actually punching a deep tunnel straight through the solid rock!
