Chapter 364 - 357: The Two Poles

Night fell, the bright moon hanging high in the sky.

Beisha Country. The office of Gleb Innovich, head of the Beisha Security Department.

Gleb's massive, lion-like frame sat silently in his oversized office chair. He faced the huge, floor-to-ceiling glass window behind his desk, gazing quietly in a specific direction as if waiting for something.

For nearly an hour, Gleb remained perfectly still.

BANG!

Just then, the office door was suddenly pushed open. A tall assistant strode in, a stack of files tucked under his arm.

"Sir,"

the assistant said, his voice slightly rushed, to the figure whose back was turned to him.

"Are the results in?"

After sitting motionless for an hour, Gleb finally moved. He slowly turned around, his expression perfectly calm as he asked his assistant.

"Yes."

The assistant nodded.

"Did the Starry Sky Country win?"

Gleb asked.

"Not exactly. In fact, it's hard to determine who ultimately won,"

the assistant said, hesitating for a moment.

"Oh?"

Gleb raised an eyebrow, a hint of interest on his face. "Tell me."

"An hour ago, massive chaos erupted on Kao San Road and at Thonburi Square in Tai Lan Country. The perpetrators were two individuals, believed to be two of the Seven Mo Luo, the Celestial Organization's highest-profile combatants currently: Plague of Rebellion and Night Parade of Hundred Demons."

"When the chaos began, Tai Lan's former world boxing champion, Boku, and Monk King Rajana arrived on the scene immediately. They engaged Plague of Rebellion and Night Parade of Hundred Demons, respectively."

"The battle began, and it seemed the Seven Mo Luo had the upper hand on both fronts. The fight involving Plague of Rebellion was filmed by a blogger named Ford and posted on the 'Fei Bu' forum. Our intelligence department analyzed the video and concluded that Tai Lan's former world champion, Boku, has cultivated the Buddhist Sect's Arhat Golden Body. However, he was completely suppressed in his fight against Plague of Rebellion, who, it is suspected, was not even using their full strength."

"Subsequently, as part of their contingency plan, Tai Lan Country sent a distress call to a Donghua Country cruiser that had been patrolling the high seas of the East Luoni region, ready to provide long-range support. Upon receiving the request, Donghua Country dispatched a total of six S-Class individuals..."

Here, the assistant paused briefly.

Six S-Class individuals...

"That many?"

Hearing this, even Gleb's eyes flickered with surprise.

'In my memory, the total number of S-Class agents in the entire Secret Inspection Bureau back in the day probably wasn't much higher than that.'

'And the number they can send for support can't possibly be their limit, because they must keep S-Class experts stationed at home for defense.'

'Not long ago, the Starry Sky Country was the only nation in the world capable of deploying so many S-Class powerhouses at once.'

'This means that Donghua has somehow produced this many new S-Class experts in such a short time.'

"Who are these six S-Class individuals? Does our intelligence system have any records on them?"

Gleb asked in a low voice.

"According to our intel, one of the six is already in our system: Lei Yi, a veteran powerhouse from the Donghua Military. Another is a figure on our intelligence department's threat ranking list: Donghua's newly ascended Saint Awakening, Zhou Yuanjue, who has been causing quite a stir lately."

"Three others are also in our system. One is from a Southern school in Donghua; we have no specific intel on how he broke through. The remaining two were outstanding young Martial Artists from the Donghua North-South Martial Dao Tournament. They showed signs of a breakthrough during the martial arts exchange between our two countries at the time, but we later received intel that both were seriously injured and their whereabouts were unknown, so we never added them to the threat list."

"The last one's identity is a mystery. However, it's rumored that Donghua has gained the support of the local 'Remnant Clan.' This person is likely a Bloodline User from the Remnant Clan,"

the assistant said quickly, opening the files in his hand.

Martial Dao reform... Social change...

'Donghua's power has unknowingly grown to such an extent.'

"Continue,"

Gleb said, his expression returning to its usual calm.

"At the same time Donghua sent aid, seven Super Warriors from the Starry Sky Country used advanced personal equipment to rapidly infiltrate Tai Lan Country's borders."

"Next, the Donghua reinforcements, with the support of the Tai Lan Kingdom Military Department, split into three groups. Four S-Class individuals coordinated with the Tai Lan Military Department's forces to block the seven Super Warriors' incursion, while the remaining two headed to the two battlefronts where the Seven Mo Luo were."

"Lei Yi went to the battlefield where Night Parade of Hundred Demons was, joining Monk King Rajana to fight them. Meanwhile, Zhou Yuanjue joined Boku to fight Plague of Rebellion."

"The final result was that Night Parade of Hundred Demons and Plague of Rebellion suddenly disengaged and headed to the location of the Starry Sky Country's Super Warriors. On these two battlefronts, neither Tai Lan Country nor Donghua Country suffered any fatalities, but Boku lost his ability to fight."

"Rajana, Lei Yi, and Zhou Yuanjue quickly pursued the two members of the Seven Mo Luo to that new battlefield. There, the Super Warriors and the Seven Mo Luo completed their 'performance'."

"As soon as the Seven Mo Luo appeared, they went into a near-frenzied state, madly attacking the allied troops in the area. Before Rajana and the others could arrive, they had already caused massive casualties and equipment losses."

"And even after Rajana's group arrived, they were at a seven-against-nine disadvantage, making it difficult for them to pin down the enemy's forces."

"Ultimately, the Super Warriors rendezvoused with the two members of the Seven Mo Luo under the pretext of 'capturing' them and successfully withdrew."

"In summary, the Starry Sky Country's plan wasn't perfectly executed. However, Donghua Country also failed to detain a single one of them. That's why even the intelligence department can't say for sure who won this battle,"

the assistant slowly concluded his report.

Hearing this, Gleb fell silent for a moment. Suddenly, he leaned back gently in his chair.

"From a certain perspective, the Starry Sky Country still came out slightly ahead in this conflict. They achieved all their objectives."

"Invading an entire country with just a handful of individuals and then retreating completely unscathed... that was unimaginable in the past. This battle will overturn many assumptions. It doesn't matter how many people Donghua and Tai Lan deployed; after all, they were backed by the entire military might of their nations."

"With this battle, the Starry Sky Country has demonstrated its power to the entire world. They've proven they have the ability to launch a surprise attack on any country, retreat unscathed, and even cause immense destruction. From now on, the leaders of every nation will likely be on edge. After all, the world is a big place, and not every country can count on Donghua's help,"

Gleb said slowly.

"Are you saying that after this, the higher-ups are likely to lean toward the Starry Sky Country?"

the assistant asked.

"No, the Starry Sky Country only came out slightly ahead. In the eyes of the higher-ups, the power Donghua displayed in its resistance is equally astonishing. At the very least, they have shown the world that they are not without the ability to contend with the Starry Sky Country. In fact, looking at it from another angle, if Donghua were the aggressor, it would be a terrifying prospect for most nations."

"And besides that, most importantly, they have demonstrated a possibility."

"The possibility of humans breaking through a certain barrier on their own."

"Compared to the Starry Sky Country, which is known for its hegemony and greed, it's hard to truly judge who is more persuasive based on the slight upper hand in a single battle. The higher-ups will most likely maintain a neutral stance,"

Gleb said slowly, turning his chair back to face the night view beyond the floor-to-ceiling window.

"A new bipolar world... it seems it's about to truly form."

"Donghua and Starry Sky... they won't rest. They'll be making their next moves again soon."
