Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques
Chapter 397 - 390: Border
The class structure at Donghua Martial Arts University is a bit different from ordinary universities.
It’s divided into two levels in total.
The Advanced Martial Arts Class and the Martial Arts Advanced Class.
The Advanced Martial Arts Class enrolls young Martial Artists between the ages of eighteen and twenty-two. Each student has reached the Inner Cultivation realm or higher. If they can comprehend "Holy and Bright" within their four years of study, they can advance to the Martial Arts Advanced Class to continue their learning.
Therefore, most students in the Advanced Martial Arts Class are young people at the Inner Cultivation Realm. Few have achieved Mastery of Fist Techniques, let alone a young prodigy like Xiangtian, who reached that level at just eighteen. Such cases are extremely rare.
In the entire third Advanced Martial Arts Class, out of more than thirty students, only three had achieved Mastery of Fist Techniques. After all, reaching that level at such a young age is no easy feat.
"Holy crap!! I can’t believe someone from the Advanced Martial Arts Class actually got an invitation!! I thought only the Martial Arts Advanced Class got that kind of treatment!!"
Suddenly, a student posted in the class group chat. Since the students were generally quite young, the guy even added an exaggerated emoji expressing envy, jealousy, and hate.
"Old Xu? You know something we don’t?"
"Did your brother tell you? Spill the beans!"
...
At once, the others in the class group chat grew curious.
The student they called Old Xu was actually not even twenty yet. He was the successor of a major northern school, and his brother, five years his senior, was already a student in the Martial Arts Advanced Class.
"An event proposed by Principal Zhou himself, how could it not be important?"
"I heard from my brother that this Dongfan Exchange isn’t so simple. The Starry Sky Country is trying to win over allies everywhere, so we’re also rallying forces. The recent stance taken by the Beisha Country is the best example."
"But things aren’t as straightforward with the Bosha Country. They’ve expressed a desire to take the lead in a major future research project and proactively proposed an exchange with our nation’s top individual powers. That’s how this Dongfan Exchange came to be!"
"When the time comes, the ones fighting will be the strongest Martial Artists!! The world’s strongest individual powers right now!!"
Old Xu posted in the group chat.
"Oh my god?! Doesn’t that mean whoever got an invitation gets to watch a duel between world-class Martial Artists live?! They’re so lucky!"
"A chance to watch a battle of this level in person... I’m so jealous. I’m green with envy."
"What about Principal Zhou? Is Principal Zhou going to fight too?"
...
Everyone started chiming in, discussing it excitedly.
’So this is what the exchange is all about...’
’A clash between Donghua and the Bosha Country...’
’Watching a battle between the world’s most elite individual powers in person...’
In that instant, Xiangtian felt as if the blood in his veins was about to ignite.
’Donghua Martial Arts University’s first big extracurricular activity... is seriously amazing!!’
News of the first extracurricular activity couldn’t be contained. Although official efforts kept it from spreading online, it went viral within the Martial Arts University.
Everyone was discussing the exchange: who would compete, what kind of experts the Bosha Country had, and what the chances of victory were.
At the same time, the students who had received invitations became the object of everyone else’s envy.
However, despite their envy, the students without invitations couldn’t complain. After all, the Talent, willpower, and strength of those who received one were plain for all to see. They could only blame themselves for not being good enough.
And so, spurred on by this differential treatment, a training craze swept through Donghua Martial Arts University.
...
...
「Two days later.」
Having received the notification, Xiangtian arrived at the main gate of the Martial Arts University along with Fan Hua and Zhuo Tong, his classmates who had also received invitations.
By this time, dozens of students and teachers had already gathered. Two military buses were parked to the side, and Vice-Principal Feng Chuan was also present.
Once almost everyone had arrived, Feng Chuan gathered them together and said with a serious expression, "Everyone must follow the plan and instructions. I will reiterate: this is an excellent opportunity, but it also carries considerable risk. Therefore, you will follow all arrangements."
He then directed everyone to board the military buses. The two buses started up and headed toward the military district, passing through various security checks along the way. They finally arrived at an airfield where, under the guidance of staff, they boarded a military transport plane.
HUMMMMM!!
With a deafening roar, the transport plane took off, flying swiftly toward the horizon.
"Where are we going?"
Xiangtian asked Fan Hua and Zhuo Tong, who were beside him.
"I’m not too sure either."
Fan Hua shrugged. She was one of the rare female Martial Artists with exceptional Talent, hailing from a medium-sized Southern school and only a year older than Xiangtian.
"Probably somewhere in the Himalayas, on the border between Donghua and the Bosha Country. These days, top-tier individual Power is comparable to an army. An exchange of this magnitude is nearly as important as the largest military exercises. It’s impossible to hold it in a populated area within either country; the risk is just too great."
Zhuo Tong was the one who answered, smiling. Among the three of them, he was the oldest at exactly twenty-two this year, and also the strongest.
"The snow-capped Himalayas... the top individual combatants of two nations sparring to decide national strategic policy. It’s like a scene straight out of a legend," Xiangtian remarked with a sigh.
"You’re right. Right now, we are witnessing history," Zhuo Tong replied with a smile.
「Two hours later.」
The plane roared on as the scenery outside the window constantly changed. Finally, a vast, continuous mountain range, perennially covered in white snow, appeared before them.
The plane circled in the sky before finally landing at a secret base nestled within the mountains.
Xiangtian and the others disembarked from the plane and, under the Donghua Military’s arrangements, boarded trucks that began heading toward the Dongfan border.
After another hour or so, the group from the Martial Arts University finally reached their destination.
The border between Donghua and Bosha.
The terrain was a canyon, with the border line running right through the center of the plain between the cliffs.
At this moment, the border, which should have been desolate and uninhabited, was unusually bustling.
On the mountainside on the other side of the border, members of the Bosha Country’s military stood in formation. Vaguely visible among them were Cultivators in Monk’s robes and high-ranking officials in lavish clothing.
And on their side, surrounded by the Donghua Military, they saw some familiar figures from the Donghua Martial Arts Family.
’The Saint Awakening Level powerhouses...’
Xiangtian’s expression sharpened. He recognized Zhang Zhizhen, Ji Yunzhou, and others. These were all famous figures among Donghua’s younger generation, each possessing immense strength.
Although they didn’t recognize the other few, judging by the auras they naturally exuded, they were also at the Saint Awakening Level.
A trace of shock also appeared in the eyes of Fan Hua and Zhuo Tong. It was their first time seeing so many Saint Awakening Level experts gathered in one place.
However, even powerhouses like them could only stand by and watch at this moment.
Xiangtian and the others followed the gazes of these experts and saw, in the middle of the canyon plain, six figures standing opposite each other on either side of the border line.
