Chapter 1847: Chapter 1843: Research

Ye Fan left Earth with the mysterious energy he had captured, and his destination was the Left Galaxy, the only place he was familiar with outside of Earth where humans resided.

However, over time, most common people in the Left Galaxy had perished or relocated, leaving only a few ordinary cultivators behind. These people lived scattered across several planets of the Left Galaxy, unlike humans on Earth who lived independently. The original territory of the Left Galaxy wasn’t large, spanning just two to three solar systems. Here, six to seven planets were inhabited by cultivators, which was also related to the presence of a source of spiritual energy there.

The place Ye Fan was headed to this time was a seemingly ordinary blue celestial body in the Left Galaxy. Because almost every planet in the Left Galaxy only receives sunlight for a brief period annually, the blue celestial body was shrouded in darkness when Ye Fan arrived. The temperature there was already so low that humans could no longer reside there. Upon arrival, Ye Fan took the mysterious energy out of his enclosed space, while Ming Ye watched from the side.

"What kind of ghostly place is this? Why does it seem like there’s no daylight?" Ming Ye observed the surroundings and complained.

Ye Fan didn’t answer her, as he felt it wasn’t necessary. He continued to survey the terrain and even used his spiritual sense to probe the entire blue celestial body, but ultimately failed to detect any life forms there.

"I’m asking you a question!" Ming Ye said with some anger. "Even if you can flaunt your power in front of me, don’t forget, I am your senior. Is this how you show respect to a senior?"

Ye Fan stepped in front of her, raised her chin with his hand, and asked, "What kind of respect do you want?"

Previously, Ming Ye seemed to have the air to confront Ye Fan, but faced with Ye Fan’s domineering presence, she lost her power to resist. She closed her eyes and said, "Do as you please. In front of you, I am like your slave with no human rights."

Ye Fan lowered his hand and ignored Ming Ye. He began to study the mysterious energy body, which seemed like another form of life. Ye Fan couldn’t detect any commonalities between this life form and humans. Lacking flesh and blood, the source of energy was probably derived from some mysterious cosmic power. Humans need food for energy, with the root of this food being solar energy and derivative energy bodies, considered the most basic form of energy. However, the energy reliance of this life form seemed not to stem from powers commonly found in the universe.

"Did you figure out what’s going on?" Ming Ye asked, having somehow opened her eyes.

Ye Fan continued to observe the energy body and finally shook his head slightly. "According to my observations, this energy body seems to come from a different time-space, and it might share origins with the energy of heavenly tribulations."

"Are you kidding, heavenly tribulation? What do you know about heavenly tribulation? It’s just a curse passed down from ancient times, no one truly knows what it is, and those who did are dead. Don’t you have ancient powers around you? Haven’t you asked them?" Ming Ye inquired curiously.

Ye Fan shook his head slightly, "The ancient powers remain tight-lipped about heavenly tribulations. Clearly, heavenly tribulations had a massive impact during the ancient era, which is also why the Pan Gu secret realm can form, and why there are you and so many cultivators in the aftermath. I initially was just an ordinary cultivator. Now, what I know is that the heavenly tribulation is about to arrive, but I have yet to possess the power to counter it."

"Are you joking, you plan to fight the heavenly tribulation alone? You’re too arrogant!" Ming Ye sneered.

Ye Fan said nothing more and continued to study the mysterious energy body. Since capturing the energy body, communication ceased, leaving only mysterious energy emissions, which Ye Fan couldn’t intercept.

Ming Ye asked, "What are you observing? Do you think you can extract something from her? She’s merely a spiritual body. You should know that such spiritual bodies might have countless evolutionary possibilities in the universe!"

"I can sense her communicating with some force," Ye Fan stated. "I want to intercept her transmission path, but it seems difficult. I might have to cut off the source, perhaps by killing her, to make her completely compliant!"

"Can you decipher what she is communicating?" Ming Ye asked again. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Ye Fan shook his head, "No. She might be reporting her location, seeking rescue from some other energy body, or maybe it’s just a cover. No one knows what’s concealed behind the smokescreen. Perhaps she is transmitting basic human information, including intelligence on me, intending to send this data out, even if she dies, she might accomplish her mission!"

"Then why aren’t you killing her? Weren’t your previous attacks discovered by her? If she transmits these messages, won’t her kind come to kill you?" Ming Ye said angrily.

"No, they won’t!" Ye Fan replied, "The power I’m using now isn’t my strongest. If she sends out these messages, it might even aid me. Why would I want to cut off her transmission source?"

During Ye Fan’s speech, the energy body deliberately made its sounds audible, declaring, "Humans are liars, very dishonest. It’s an imperfect life form that should be completely destroyed. A new order must be established in the universe. Humans, even if your strength is great, must face extinction!"

"You’re wrong!" Ye Fan spoke to the energy body, "Human lies aren’t inhibitors to human development; instead, they create positive and negative logic, making human thinking more perfect than other life forms. Pure honesty can’t drive human survival and development alone. Our survival conditions and reliance on energy sources are the lowest in the universe. Humanity’s goal isn’t to conquer the universe but to advance ourselves! Can you understand?"

The energy body, infuriated, retorted, "Such sophistry—this so-called positive and negative logic is merely a pretext you’ve devised. The imperfection of the human life form is a recognized fact, and humans must be reshuffled and new order established; otherwise, humans do not deserve to exist in this universe! You humans will be destroyed sooner or later!"
