Legacy of the Void Fleet
Chapter 394: Ch
"And to be extra cautious, I’ll use my one-time-use artifact—Immortal Chains. It can lock a peak Genesis Law Realm being for more than a week at most!! That should give the three of us some breathing room, no?"
"We all know—even if he’s suppressed—our strength has also taken a hit. We can’t keep fighting like this for much longer. We need time to recover as well..."
"So what do you say? Let’s protect the fleet, take our time to recover our strength... and then finish him off before reinforcements arrive—and claim the merit?"
"Hmm... now that you say this, Bell... indeed, we are quite low on mana as well, and our strength has been heavily depleted over the more than hour we’ve spent fighting this monster!! Not to mention the injuries we suffered, along with the array that we have to continuously power..."
"All of this has already been too much..." judged Hawk, who was already feeling weakness spreading throughout his body.
Don’t look at how they had "suppressed Kael"—the effort it took just to consume the strength of his law shield had been enormous for each of them...
Both Lion and Bell sighed hearing this as well. It truly had been exhausting.

Meanwhile, Kael, who was in truth not acting as if he was struggling, also received a notification from Crown and gained an idea of the improvements on the battlefield for his fleet.
He would have liked to witness it himself with his divine senses, but because of this unknown-grade array—which somehow could even restrict them... no, saying restrict was an exaggeration. They were interfering with his divine senses, preventing him from expanding them further, as the poison could infect even his divine senses if he pushed beyond his own strength.
At first, he had been shocked to discover that there were things capable of affecting even his divine senses. The Law of Poison was indeed terrifying, capable of affecting even the soul and divine consciousness itself with its poison.
Not focusing on that, he looked toward the three opposing Genesis Law Realm beings. Watching their current silence, he already had an idea that they were discussing how to restrict him here for a couple of hours until their reinforcements arrived.
Judging this, he finally spoke for the first time since the battle had started.
"Oh my, my... look at you all planning how to restrict me here and go support your fleet? Now, is it really that easy?"
Hearing that, Bell, Hawk, and Lion all raised their eyebrows in surprise. The fact that he, who was supposedly cut off from the outside world, was still able to guess this much shocked them.
Or perhaps... he had never truly been cut off from the outside at all?
That thought crossed the minds of all three before they quickly calmed themselves down...
"What are you barking about now, human?" Lion said overbearingly. "Shut up if you don’t want to die already!! You can’t be arrogant here now that you are suppressed..."
Saying that, Lion looked toward Bell and said, "Okay, I agree to that. After you place your sealing artifact on him, we can go and help our fleet defend."
"Good!!" Bell, hearing this, sighed in relief and became excited internally. He finally felt hope of becoming a true Genesis Law Realm being, with even greater advancement possible if he secured the treasure from Pact’s family...
Which he had not told the other three at all.
Why would he? He wasn’t that foolish...
Nodding his head, he took out the Immortal Sealing Rope from his storage space...
And the moment it appeared, everyone except Kael felt a threat to their very lives!! Even their law energy trembled as if facing something truly capable of suppressing them!!
Both Hawk and Lion gulped subconsciously, feeling the terrifying pressure brought by the one-time-use artifact Bell possessed. They couldn’t help but wonder where he had gotten his hands on such a thing...
Or if he possessed more of them?
If he did, then Bell could become dangerous to them as well. They would have to remain cautious around him. And if this truly was his last one after this use... maybe they could ask where he obtained it and perhaps even gain a chance to strike rich themselves.
Greed quickly outweighed the fear within their minds.
Thinking this, both Hawk and Lion subtly nodded toward each other before returning to normal expressions.
At this moment, Bell also had an idea of what could be going through their minds... Knowing his fellow species members, who could be as greedy as dragons, he understood that when treasure was placed in front of them, no matter the danger, they would still take the risk to reach for it...
He knew the nature of his species well enough. After all, if not for that greed, would they have fallen and become servants to the masters they now served under?
But Bell ignored it for now. He still had many cards left to play. If those two dared try something against him, then he would make them deeply regret it.
"Now, human, stand still and let my rope seal you for a few hours!! Let us take care of your fleet... and then it will be your turn," Bell said before throwing the Immortal Rope toward Kael without hesitation.
The rope transformed into a streak of lightning and rushed toward Kael!!
Kael, who had been standing still moments ago, suddenly disappeared and reappeared far away from his previous position.
But the rope seemed to have locked onto him and continued chasing him, its speed even increasing slightly...
Surprising Kael.
Bell noticed this and smirked.
"Surprised, human?" he said with a smile before shaking his head. "Running won’t work. Once the Immortal Rope locks onto its target, it will reach them no matter what!! And once bound, it seals mana, law powers, and even spirit itself!!"
"So rather than wasting your efforts—and our time—just stand there quietly and let the rope do its work, human. There is no other way!!"
As if Kael’s spirit had been shaken by those words, Dark Blade stopped moving and simply stood there, allowing the rope to approach him.
Seeing that, Bell smiled wider.
"Good... so you finally understand, human!! You have rightfully given up against your already hopeless situation!!" Bell said arrogantly, a faint smile resting on his face as if victory was already in his hands. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Just as the Immortal Rope was about to wrap around Kael, he disappeared again!!
And in his place appeared Hawk—who was instantly bound by the rope as it sealed all his powers and spirit as well!!
The sudden turn stunned everyone. It had happened so fast that none of them were able to react at all!!
Hawk, who suddenly felt all his power vanish, found himself unable to summon or control it in the slightest... It was as if his strength had never existed at all. For a moment, he even had the terrifying illusion of becoming a mortal again...
Something completely unbearable for a being as supreme as him.
"Wh-what is going on, Bell?!" he shouted in terror, despair clearly visible on his face.
Lion, who had only just processed what happened, wore a confused expression. He had absolutely no idea how any of this had occurred...
One moment Hawk had been standing beside him, and the next moment he had somehow switched places with their enemy—the very human who was supposed to be sealed by Bell’s Immortal Rope!!
Instead, Hawk had been sealed, while the human escaped and now stood in his place, looking toward Lion with murderous intent that made his entire body tingle with fear and an ominous sense of death...
Bell, who had carefully observed everything, was equally stunned by what had just happened.
"How is this possible?!" he blurted out in disbelief.
"What is impossible?" Kael replied coldly. "Thinking you can seal me with such a thing... a mere imitation of the real artifact? Heh... you think too lowly of me, beings of the void..."
"Well, that only happened because my acting was so good that it left you all believing I was truly being suppressed under this array of yours... enough for you to do as you pleased!!"
Sighing, Kael looked around the array before nodding his head. Then he turned toward Lion, his blade lighting up with dense Laws of Destruction as he spoke—
"Indeed, your array is quite good and does suppress me somewhat... but unfortunately, it is not enough for the likes of you all to take me down..."
"Now, now... it’s time I send you all on your way!! Free you from your oppression and let you return to the embrace of the void—to become what you all truly ought to be!!"
With that, Kael manipulated Dark Blade under his control and disappeared from his position!!
He appeared directly in front of Lion, who surprisingly had already prepared himself and instantly launched a claw attack toward Kael!!
