Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 74: Felix Retreated
For the next minutes, the outer disciples met one another and clashed. They couldn’t muffle the noise of their collision, causing the others to join the ramble.
Eventually, four disciples were facing each other. They weren’t utilizing most of their strengths, wary against Felix and Krisha.
To begin with, each round of the ramble has a time limit. If they could survive until then, they would receive merit allocation in the end.
Just that, every time Felix participated in the battle, the ramble wouldn’t reached the time limit, elimating his opponents within the given time.
That was how he changed the tradition of the Mist Courtyard Ramble. One of the many reasons he was deeply hated by other outer disciples.
Currently, they were unaware that Felix and Krisha had already pinpoint their locations, but they were facing each other.
If it wasn’t because they followed the noise, they wouldn’t have encountered each other.
Felix beamed a smile at her. "Should we get rid of them now?"
Krisha shook her head. "Let’s clash first." She leapt forward.
Felix was quite surprised. Nevertheless, he already prepared himself as he took a stance to defend himself against Krisha’s attack.
Krisha went all out, utilizing her movement technique.
Her current progress of her movement technique was already maxed, compelling her to expend energy for it to be fully utilized.
As she went closer to Felix, the latter was taken aback.
He felt a foreign ice energy invading his lower torso. He perceived his legs becoming heavy, making it difficult to move.
However, he didn’t worry or panic, he widened his smile even more to the point it appeared he was in hysteria.
Krisha was quite disturbed by Felix’s reaction, but, for some reason, she felt the same as whatever Felix felt based on his countenance.
She was excited.
As she finally in the closer distance for her sword to reach Felix, she didn’t hesitate to execute her sword technique, aiming at Felix’s face.
She raised her sword, attempting to swing it diagonally downward.
Frostline Cut.
As it reached the highest point, the intangible energy gathered on her palms, quickly slithering to her wooden sword until a barely noticeable white smoke covered it completely.
When it was swung, Felix suddenly broke free from the foreign ice energy slowing down his movements by expending his water energy while executing Drizzle Slash.
Krisha’s wooden sword moved downward and Felix attacked it in an aim to stop it.
Unfortunately, the moment his wooden sword collided with it, the ice energy from Krisha’s sword instantly spread to his wooden sword, until his hands and then his whole arms completely.
Krisha’s Frostline Cut’s momentum was barely affected, sliding down on Felix’s wooden sword, heading towards his face.
Felix’s expression remained hysterical as he suddenly exploded with water energy inside his body, negating the slow effects of Krisha’s sword technique.
Felix instantly pulled his sword and attacked once again. The same result occurred, but Felix, already aware of the result, repeated the same movement.
Only that, his stamina and energy were consumed at a rapid rate that even he didn’t know who’d exhaust themselves first, for he was unaware of the amount of energy consumption Krisha had to just to maintain the Frostline Cut.
Felix attacked Krisha’s sword endlessly and he barely slowed down the momentum of Krisha’s attack.
From his perception, everything appeared to slow down, but from Instructor Albert’s vision, Krisha simply swung down her sword as it slowed down every time Felix attacked at an extreme speed.
He’d also noticed that Felix’s momentum would slow down every brief interaction with Krisha’s sword, but then, for some reason, he’d explode with speed after he pulled his sword to attack once more.
Their exchange lasted for less than a second until Felix successfully stopped Krisha’s Frostline Cut.
It took him seven strikes... less than a second!
Even Instructor Albert was amazed.
Krisha was quite surprised that her Frostline Cut was stopped, but it was within her expectations. She had just mastered it yesterday.
She already believed that it was way powerful, but she acknowledged that Felix’s sword art was the same level as hers.
Without hesitation, Krisha was about to execute the Frostline Cut again when Felix took a step back.
Her eyes widened. She couldn’t believe it.
Felix was retreating with a hysterical expression on his face.
He had never felt euphoric in the battle before.
All his previous battles were boring—they might exhausted him, but he already saw long ago he’d win long before they’d tire him out.
However, now? He was still confident he’d win, but he was still not sure. He didn’t want to be careless, he was fighting against his rival, after all.
Krisha didn’t hesitate to execute her movement technique to follow Felix.
It was called White Step and her current progress was already maxed. Every time she took a step and got closer to her opponent, she could now able to position her feet to where her ice energy travel to her opponent’s legs to slow them down.
As Felix’s retreat was slowing down, Krisha provoked him.
"What’s wrong? Why are you retreating?"
She grinned at him and finally caught up with Felix.
"And why are you slowing down?"
She didn’t hesitate to execute the Frostline Cut.
Felix finally stopped retreating, knowing that even if he executed the Pattering Step, Krisha’s sword would already reached him.
Without hesitation, he consumed water energy to get rid of the slow effects that Krisha instilled on his legs, and executed the Drizzle Slash once more.
In less than a second, Felix successfully struck seven times to stop Krisha’s attempt to injure him and retreated again.
At this point, it was already evident they were exhausted. Felix’s hysterical face half faded, while Krisha’s grin was barely discernable.
After Felix retreated for a while, Krisha finally caught up with him and executed the Frostline Cut.
She knew then that it would be the last Frostline Cut she could execute based on her current energy reserves.
Felix, on the other hand, grinned and stopped her Frostline Cut again.
But this time, on the sixth strike, Krisha’s sword suddenly manifested with splinters that instantly spreading around its body.
Her heart thumped.
Before she could pull her sword, Felix struck for the seventh time, the exact same place where he’d been striking before, and her sword couldn’t endure it, breaking into many pieces...
