Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 78: You Better Not Run
Until dawn, Felix prepared himself. He sat in the lotus position and visualized himself fighting against an opponent with a sword energy while executing the sword techniques of the Azure Cleave Dojo.
Afterwards, he slept for eight hours straight, waking up with stomach growling as loud as it could, causing Rain to be annoyed.
Felix apologized to Rain as he opened his phone and discovered Krisha messaged him an hour ago, asking to have a lunch together.
He responded that he had just woken up and she instantly replied that she had already finished eating lunch.
Felix smiled bitterly as he ate lunch by himself at 2pm in the afternoon.
After filling his stomach, Felix decided to take a walk around to fasten the digestion process.
Whenever he met outer disciples, who were taking a rest from their lesson, he heard them mumbling with themselves while staring at him.
It appeared that the rumor of the battle later between Top 15 and Felix has already spread around.
Felix only grinned in response.
It seems like he’s doing it in purpose. This is what he means that he’ll make me feel embarrassed if I back down, huh?
Felix didn’t feel pressure on the battle later—not yet.
From the outer disciples’ perception, he appeared careless of the ramble later and only amused himself by staring at them while practicing.
They were unaware that Felix was observing their sword techniques, grasping deeper.
Unfortunately, Felix didn’t gain enlightenment, but that didn’t mean his understanding of their sword techniques were lacking.
It was simply because he had comprehended them as thoroughly as he could.
Disappointed, he checked his watch and realized there was only an hour left.
Since he was already in the Mist Courtyard, he might as well continue to observe them.
Half an hour later, the inner disciple finally appeared—a group of outer disciples followed him behind.
A wooden sword on his waist, hands clasped behind his back, chin high, and arrogant gaze sweeping others.
When his eyes landed at Felix, his mouth curled up.
Felix, on the other hand, simply met his gaze with crossed arms and relaxed shoulder.
The inner disciple gritted his teeth, trying his best to remain compose, having been provoked by Felix.
He went past Felix and mumbled when he reached his side, "You better not run."
"So do you."
The inner disciple wasn’t surprise anymore and simply swore to himself that he wouldn’t end the battle lightly.
He has to satisfy himself.
Felix, meanwhile, didn’t even bother turning around as the outer disciples who followed the inner disciple, trying to show dominance, couldn’t dare to meet his gaze.
Most of them had been beaten by him heavily—perhaps, they were now seeking shelter under the inner disciple, while providing him with knowledge of their encounter with Felix.
Felix wasn’t bothered that his enemy might gain knowledge of his abilities—he fought them easily that he barely showed the surface of his true strength.
As Felix fell into rumination, Krisha unknowingly was about to get close behind him, sneaking as best as she could with her White Step.
When he was finally within reached, she spread her arms and hugged Felix by surprise, but when she was about to finally had his body, Felix slipped forward and reappeared a meter away from her, staring at her while frowning.
Krisha giggled and Felix sighed.
"Are you planning to fight?"
Krisha nodded. She was silent for a while before taking a deep breath and exhaled.
"How about this? Let me participate in this round. Fighting against a Commander Rank, even without his beast pet, and just pure sword techniques alone is still dangerous, considering the difference between the energy levels. If it feels impossible to defeat him, why won’t we work together against him?"
Felix furrowed his eyebrows.
He shook his head. "If you want to watch and see the battle up close, then you may participate. But, please refrain in joining."
Krisha snorted, displeased. She crossed her arms and sulked. "Okay, then. I’ll make sure to save your ass when he is about to beat you senselessly later."
Felix was stunned.
"Since when do you talk like that?"
Krisha rolled her eyes and turned silent, clearly displeased.
Felix smiled at her and sighed. "I just want to test my current strength based on the comprehension of my sword techniques alone. Who knows? I might bring a surprise later."
Krisha raised her eyebrows.
She turned towards him and sighed helplessly.
"So long as that surprise is not about you being injured and beaten miserably..."
Felix grinned. "So, you’re worried about me, huh?"
Krisha glared at him and exclaimed, "Isn’t it normal?"
Felix chuckled. "Alright, alright. I was just messing with you. Anyway, knowing that you are around later, I won’t be worried that what you think will happen later will really happen."
Krisha didn’t respond, but her silence conveyed of her agreement with Felix’s words.
They waited for sometime until Instructor Albert finally appeared.
After his brief instructions, he finally called for the disciples, who’d participate in the first round.
To his utter surprise, a disciple wearing an inner disciple uniform appeared, soon followed by Felix and Krisha.
It was out of Instructor Albert’s expectations, but he knew that at some point, it would reach this state.
He glanced at Felix and thought. This brat, ever since he came here, he’s full of surprises. I’d never thought he’s living up to his words he made the day he arrived.
Instructor Albert found it undeniable that Felix’s growth was unprecedented. It was unstoppable and the inner disciple had no choice but to meet his demands and attempted to stop it.
Instructor Albert believed that Felix’s momentum might be stopped with the inner disciple stepping in, but...
For some reason, he felt like Felix was about to bring another round of unbelievable surprise again.
He glanced at Krisha and pondered for a while. Are they planning to fight together against an inner disciple? It might be interesting to watch and defeating the inner disciple might be feasible that way.
In fact, Instructor Albert didn’t know the outcome of the first round.
It only made it more thrilling to anticipate of how it would unfold...
