Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 89: Commander Rank
No wonder he formed a sword intent. Felix was genuinely impressed.
He recalled what the Guide had said, of how surprised she was to discover a talent in swordsmanship when sword techniques were barely advanced compared to Immortal World.
Master Shen said, "I won’t take much of your time, then. Let’s celebrate next time once you reach the Lord rank. Only that rank holds significance to you at this point, correct?"
Felix beamed a smile and nodded.
"Also," said Master Shen. "If attaining Top 1 in the ranking satisfies you greatly, we’ll celebrate it, too."
Felix bowed deeply. "Thank you for your thoughtful consideration, Master Shen."
"Mhm. You worth enough for it. One day, I will be the one looking up to you."
Felix was utterly surprised. He instantly tilted his head upward but Master Shen was not present anymore.
However, Felix perceived an intense wave of energy when he was bowing, conveying that Master Shen had summoned his beast pet to carry him away from his previous position at a rapid speed.
Felix was amazed as well, but Master Shen’s words kept echoing in his mind.
Lost in thoughts, he was greatly startled by Moon’s voice, meowing while tugging his uniform.
Felix lowered his head and dazed at her. Only at this moment that he had recognized Moon’s current form.
She was three inch taller than before and her body seemed to have gain weight enough for Felix to worry.
How did she become a fatty?
Felix walked towards her and picked her up close. Her fur became smoother and obviously she became heavy.
Felix furrowed his eyebrows and did not hold back anymore, asking, "How did you get so fatty after reaching Rare rank? Can you still move as fast as before?"
Moon felt indignant by her master’s remark.
Felix smiled awkwardly, knowing he had offended Moon. He perceived her desire to be put down, so he did.
Moon frustratingly extended her claws, taking a swift leap and running around Felix at an unparalleled speed.
Felix’s eyes widened. Forgetting to ask the Guide to show him Moon’s current information, a wall of texts appeared beside Moon but remained hovering in mid-air once fully formed as it didn’t follow Moon’s swift movement, attempting to impress her master.
[Beast: Moonfrost Cat
Bloodline: Glacial Moon Sovereign
Potential: 5 Stars
Status: Contracted
Skills: Moonlit Frost, Chilling Mist, Silent Step
Remarks: A cat that gained weight after her evolution due to overconsumption of Moon Essence as her master kept her waiting on her evolution. However, her physical aspect has been strengthened, speed and agility wise. Hence, her role now is a hybrid—a controller and assassin.]
Felix asked the Guide to show Moon’s skills description.
[Skills:
Moonlit Frost: Enhances ice attacks during night
Chilling Mist: Creates a small fog that slows enemies
Silent Step: Movement becomes nearly inaudible, no matter the terrain.]
Felix was impressed. Only now it clicked on him that he hadn’t heard a single noise from Moon, who kept running around swiftly.
Felix could barely catch her image.
He pondered. I wonder if I can keep up with her speed?
For some reason, Felix wanted to spar with Moon.
As he was lost in thought, his hand, grasping the hilt of Rain, trembled.
Felix glanced at him and asked, "What’s wrong?"
"Please unsheathed me, Master."
Felix furrowed his eyebrows, but then, it dawned on him.
With trembling hands, he swiftly unsheathed the sword and almost instantly, he was struck in a dream-like state, pulling his consciousness away from the reality.
...
Felix believed he would be standing atop the still ocean again, but this time, he was in a mountain.
He swept his gaze and observed his surroundings.
He pondered. What’s the connection with Myriad Immortal Scripture to this forest? Shouldn’t I still be standing atop the ocean?
As he wondered, the grey silhouette appeared in front of him, startling him greatly.
Before Felix could say anything, the grey silhouette turned around and walked through the mountain.
Felix felt strange but didn’t question him, simply following the grey silhouette.
Eventually, dark clouds began to form, cold humid air manifested, and the wind intensified. Felix gazed upward and frowned. It’s about to rain.
Rain drops fell and Felix strangely felt his clothes dampening, as though he was in reality.
As he was lost in thoughts, he was startled after realizing he walked past the grey silhouette, seemingly he was intangible.
Panicking, he instantly turned around to stare at the silhouette, but he noticed they were now standing atop the small stream.
He did not even noticed the jagged stones and uneven ground that was caused by the small stream.
Felix, after observing around, glanced at the grey silhouette to inquire information, but the grey silhouette simply stared down through the small streams.
The small stream downward stopped by a huge boulder, barely eroding it.
Felix glanced at it and hours passed, the small streams barely accumulated enough rain water. Instead of obliterating the huge boulder, it instead flowed around it, eventually continuing the path it was creating.
Felix thought it would be better to walk past the huge boulder and saw himself of how the small stream becoming bigger to carve its own path, but the grey silhouette didn’t move, continuing to stare at huge boulder.
Why it seems like he’s waiting for the huge boulder to get obliterated by the stream?
He thoughts so, but it did not last when another hour passed. The rain intensified, but it wasn’t enough to be called a storm yet.
Nevertheless, it was sufficient for the stream to grow bigger and bigger until its wave cause the boulder to be pushed forward.
Inevitably, it rolled downward along side the big stream. It collided to an enormous trunk of tree that has also been toppled down by the stream.
The huge boulder exploded, its fragmented pieces spread around the river downward, leaving behind countless stones. The enormous trunk of tree has also been destroyed, its branches and pieces flowed along side the wave.
"This is not just a mere stream anymore, this is a river."
For another hour, the river continued to grow bigger and flowed towards a path it once carved by starting as a small stream.
The river finally formed and the rain stopped. The golden dusk of dawn spread its glimmering sunlight on the river, as though its chaotic creation was erased by its beautiful body of water flowing through the landmass.
Felix was dumbfounded. His heart was pounding. He perceived the energy circulation inside his body changed, adapting to what he had just learned.
Lost in thoughts, he was greatly startled by the grey silhouette’s voice.
"A river does not force its path, yet no path can deny it."
Felix turned around and was a bit surprised that the grey silhouette was finally facing him.
The grey silhouette smiled and said, "So must your body flow—yielding, adapting, and striking where resistance fails.
That is the essence of Riverborn technique."
Felix’s eyes widened. Just then, the dream shattered, causing his consciousness to return to reality.
...
As soon as he dazedly saw Moon, the Guide’s voice echoed in his mind.

Felix beamed a smile, so radiant that Moon and Rain fell into a daze.
