Chapter 94: A Dishonorable Swordsman

The wooden sword was not threw lightly, it was bolting towards Nicholas.

Strangely, Moon was hovering just above the wooden sword. Just when the gravity began to pull her to the ground, her paws eventually landed at the flying wooden sword.

Her claws caved in slightly at the wooden sword as she leapt forward again, flying at the Emberfang Wolf at a speed that took it by surprise.

The wooden sword flew backward and to the ground, but before it reached the floor, its hilt was grabbed by Felix, who was sprinting forward.

Moon landed at the head of the Emberfang Wolf, who was still processing what was happening, and used her strength to push him down to the floor.

At the same time, Felix finally ran past the Emberfang Wolf, stepping on his body, and finally arrived in front of Nicholas, who was still taken aback.

Felix swung his sword upward and eventually had its tip an inch away from Nicholas’ throat.

Had he manifested his sword energy, Nicholas’ throat would have been sliced.

He might have been rushed to hospital again.

Thankfully, this time, Felix controlled himself. He had also proven that he was far stronger than Nicholas now.

Instructor Frank was stunned—he had forgotten to announce in time. After all, Nicholas could still move, but, with the wooden sword pointing at his throat an inch away, Felix could instantly end the duel in a gruesome result.

He did not want an accident to happen. Without hesitation, he announced the duel ending with Felix’s victory.

Nicholas lost gripped of his wooden sword. His face was painted with horror while dazing at Felix.

Felix beamed a smile and lowered his wooden sword.

Without saying anything, he turned around and left. Moon leapt on his shoulder once he walked past the Emberfang Wolf.

As he was getting closer to the perimeter, the deadly silent outer disciples exploded into a deafening cheers.

Felix beamed a smile at them and bowed deeply. It was a humbling and appreciative gesture of their support.

The outer disciples were pleased even more, intensifying their applause.

The inner disciples, on the other hand, frowned. They did not expect Felix to beat Nicholas easily.

Although Nicholas was at Top 15 and they were stronger than him, they weren’t confident they could defeat Nicholas as stylish as Felix.

The terrain was supposed to slow down him, reducing the effectiveness of his explosive acceleration.

Yet, Felix shocked them with his unparalleled speed.

They also had the same question on their head as they recalled what Felix did to defeat Nicholas.

What was that?

Felix’s action, especially as a swordsman, was unethical. He abandoned his sword even for a moment, throwing it at the beginning of the duel.

He just showcased his strength and humiliated his fellow swordsman.

He was undoubtedly arrogant—a dishonorable swordsman.

They glared at Felix, not bothering to hide themselves.

The outer disciples caught their reaction and felt even more boastful. It was always satisfying to witness the inner disciples, acting not by themselves. They’d usually show contempt to outer disciples and would treat them as slaves rather than followers, who wanted to learn as much as them.

Of course, not every inner disciples were like that, especially the Top 1. The Top 1 could barely be spotted in training anymore, as that place would usually assigned for a mission by Master Shen himself.

Most of the time, Master Shen would instruct them to study even more as a future General in the army.

Unless a disciple, who was worthy enough to challenge the Top 1 once per week, the Top 1 could not be spotted at all.

Before the Top 1 reached his position, he was as amiable as Felix, but the latter had more charisma.

Because he challenged and humiliated inner disciples.

He deeply resonated with them.

After Felix ended the duel in an instant—barely five seconds had passed, the modular terrain floor could still be used.

After Instructor Frank ordered Nicholas to leave while he was still dazing and his eyes were hollow, he swept his gaze on the disciples in the perimeter and said, "Round 2 can be commenced now. The duel participants only have five seconds."

The disciples glanced at each other. Every duel in the beast sync arena was always preserve to the inner disciples.

If no inner disciples came down in half of given time, the outer disciples would decide who would fight with each other to accumulate merit.

To their surprise, Krisha and an inner disciple jumped on the modular terrain floor.

Felix was utterly surprised. He had not heard Krisha to be participating in the duel, even more so against an inner disciple.

He asked an outer disciple about the identity of the inner disciple and learned it was at Top 14.

Felix smirked. She wanted to surpass me that early, huh?

He chuckled, earning a strange gaze from outer disciple.

He stared intently at Krisha, who didn’t glanced at him, and fixed her gaze at the inner disciple.

The inner disciple was not handsome, Felix believed he was more attractive than him, and he was at the same height as Krisha.

The way he gazed at Krisha irritated Felix.

He’s looking the same way I’m looking at her. Felix was a bit annoyed.

Krisha and the inner disciple faced each other. The inner disciple introduced himself as Cayden and initiated a bet.

If he won, he’d have a date with Krisha for a day.

Krisha agreed indifferently, surprising and exasperating Felix.

Felix could barely control his reaction, causing the outer disciples to spot it. They were amused. They wouldn’t be surprised if Felix had feelings for Krisha.

However, they didn’t tease Felix as the battle finally commenced.

Cayden summoned his beast pets—a Cinderclaw Lynx and a Cindercoil Snake, another beast tamer with fire elemental affinity.

From the aura he exuded, Cayden was at the Commander Rank 1, which made Felix not feel worried.

Krisha also summoned PengPeng, standing in front of her.

Cayden glanced at PengPeng, waited for a while, and frowned.

He asked, "You can’t possibly use only a single beast pet, right? Or, you only have one? Are you copying that guy?"

Krisha shrugged. "No, I only have one beast pet."

Instructor Frank shouted while they were in the middle of conversation, "Begin!"

Krisha continued, "PengPeng and I are enough."

Without hesitation, she lifted her sword, took the stance, and bolted towards Cayden, executing the White Step.
