Let's Squander A Billion First!
Chapter 1697: Born in Solitude (11)
"No."
"No, you don’t care about me?"
"Aren’t I talking to you now? When did I ever ignore you? You should speak with integrity, little brother!"
"..."
Is it the same?
Unless you’re up earlier than her, don’t even think about catching her in the morning.
And he’s still complaining about her bike!
Ever since winter break, his deskmate has changed!
"Good morning, seniors, here for the shoot," a student greeted them.
Bai Dongai couldn’t lose his cool, so he smiled and greeted the other students, got off the bike, and pushed it inside.
By the time Chuzheng and Bai Dongai reached the playground, there were already quite a few people there, standing in groups.
On one side of the playground, there were some pieces of equipment, and someone was sitting there.
The weather is still cold now, and that person was only wearing a black hoodie. The hood was pulled over their head, covering their face tightly, as they fiddled with the camera in their hands.
Their hands were pale, unsure if it was from the cold or naturally that color.
Nearby students occasionally glanced over, showing expressions of excitement or infatuation on some girls’ faces as they chatted excitedly with companions.
"Where are you going?"
Bai Dongai saw Chuzheng heading over there and immediately followed.
"Checking out the photographer."
Bai Dongai puzzled, "What’s so interesting about the photographer?"
Despite his words, Bai Dongai’s body followed honestly with Chuzheng to check out their photographer.
Once they circled around to the front and saw the photographer’s face clearly, Bai Dongai decided to retract his previous statement.
This photographer is rather good-looking...
But a bit... unkempt?
Chuzheng stood openly observing the photographer until he finally looked up, giving her a glance with not much emotion in his eyes.
Once he saw her clearly, he was noticeably startled for a second.
But he quickly returned to normal, "Is there something you need?"
As he raised his head, the hood slipped down slightly.
The man’s hair, pressed into a mess by the hood, was slightly long, almost covering his eyes. His gaze wasn’t sharp but carried a hint of desolation, like a gradually wilting tree in a tranquil forest.
The black hoodie made his skin look even paler.
It wasn’t fair; it was simply an unhealthy pale.
If it weren’t for his finely sculpted features, this appearance might scare many people.
Chuzheng eyed him brazenly, calmly responding, "Nothing."
Sang Yu lowered his head, continuing to fiddle with the camera.
"Did you have breakfast?" Chuzheng actively initiated conversation.
Sang Yu probably found it a bit baffling and didn’t respond.
Chuzheng stood for a while before turning to leave.
Bai Dongai followed her, curiously asking, "Do you know him?"
"No." Soon I’ll know him.
Bai Dongai: "Then why did you ask if he’d had breakfast, and not me?"
Chuzheng: "..."
Can you compare to a Good Person Card?
You’ve really overestimated yourself!
Chuzheng turned to him, "Why are you following me?"
Bai Dongai: "Where are you going?"
Chuzheng: "Do you want to visit the girls’ restroom?"
Bai Dongai paused until Chuzheng walked a distance, suddenly realizing the restroom wasn’t that way!
With still over half an hour until the designated filming time, Chuzheng went out to buy breakfast.
She returned carrying breakfast, handing Bai Dongai a portion casually.
Bai Dongai quipped, "Did you buy breakfast from the restroom?"
Chuzheng’s brow twitched, restraining the urge to hit him, "If you won’t eat it, give it back."
Bai Dongai: "You bought it especially for me, of course, I’ll eat it."
Chuzheng unceremoniously debunked, "To make up the order."
Bai Dongai: "???
Chuzheng carried the breakfast to Sang Yu’s place, handing over several bags together, "Please have breakfast."
Bai Dongai: "???"
Sang Yu: "???"
What was that!
Wasn’t it said they didn’t know each other?
If they don’t know each other, why buy him breakfast?! 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Looking again at the breakfast in his hand, Bai Dongai suddenly believed the ’make up the order’ line.
-
Sang Yu looked at the breakfast in front of him, bewildered, and after about half a minute said, "I’ve eaten."
"Oh."
Chuzheng turned around, dumping all the breakfast on Bai Dongai, "Please enjoy."
Bai Dongai: "..."
First, it was to make up the order, now it’s unwanted, all given to him. What does he think he is, a trash can?!
This long-standing classmate relationship is at its breaking point!
Friendship’s small boat is about to capsize.
Bai Dongai: "Hey man, what’s up with you? Who’s that person?"
Chuzheng replied seriously, "The photographer."
Bai Dongai rolled his eyes, "Of course I know he’s the photographer, why are you trying to get close to him?"
Even though that photographer is kind of handsome...
His deskmate isn’t that shallow, right?
The evidence being they’ve been desk mates for over two years, and she never hit on him.
"..." What’s wrong with me getting close to my Good Person Card! What’s wrong! Chuzheng didn’t want to answer, a ferocious aura intensifying, "You’re so annoying, shut up and eat your stuff."
Can’t eating shut your mouth?!
So many questions!
"If you don’t tell me, I can’t eat," Bai Dongai said with conviction, "You have something going on!"
"Then don’t eat."
"Tell me... don’t walk away!"
-
Filming starts at nine o’clock sharp.
As Sang Yu began working, he didn’t take off his hat, hardly talking, and when direction was needed, he only asked the nearby teacher to help coordinate.
During rehearsal, everyone found it simple, but when it came to filming, all sorts of problems arose.
By noon, only half the content was filmed.
The school prepared lunch for everyone, and Bai Dongai dragged Chuzheng to eat. She glanced at the crowd; Sang Yu, who was just there, was gone.
Once Chuzheng finished eating, she returned to the playground, where Sang Yu was already seated, scrolling his phone.
A few students were pushing each other nearby, until a girl was sent forward. She glared at her companions, dragging her feet as she approached Sang Yu.
No one knows what the girl said, but Sang Yu shook his head without even lifting it.
The girl’s face turned bright red, she probably couldn’t continue, and she swiftly ran back to her companions, pulling them away.
"I told you he seems hard to approach."
"But he’s really handsome."
"Weren’t you obsessed with Senior Bai Dongai before?"
"That’s different; they’re not even the same type, okay!"
A few girls passed by Chuzheng, heatedly debating who was more handsome, Sang Yu or Bai Dongai.
After they left, Chuzheng stepped forward.
"Are you Sang Yu?"
Sang Yu, irritated by so many interruptions, raised his head to speak but was stunned when he met Chuzheng’s eyes, swallowing back his words.
After quite a while, Sang Yu let out a brief ’Mm,’ quickly diverting his gaze.
"Can I sit?"
Sang Yu glanced to the side, hesitated briefly, and moved the items beside him to the ground.
