Leveling Up Alongside My Plant Legion
Chapter 6:My Girlfriend Is A Bigshot
Nyxara didn’t respond. She simply kept staring at him. Then suddenly, she stepped forward and grabbed him tightly. She buried her face in his chest while her body trembled.
"I can afford to lose everything..." her voice cracked as she continued, "...but not you."
’I see... she’s worried that something might happen to me.’
Reigns stiffened for a moment, unsure of how to respond. Then slowly and awkwardly, he raised his hand and placed it on her back, patting her lightly.
He softened his voice. "Hey... I’m not going to die that easily, alright? I’m tougher than I look."
"You’re lying, darling?" Nyx asked mournfully.
"What do you mean? Don’t you trust me?"
The question made Nyx hesitate a bit.
Nyxara tightened her hold as she whispered, "If you feel unsafe... you can just reject going to the zone..."
Reigns blinked in confusion as his thoughts paused.
Reject?
Is there such a thing?
Since he had only just transmigrated, his mind was still in a complete mess filled with systems, zones, and unknown rules. And now, there was something called ’reject’ as well.
However, seeing her trembling like this, he pushed those thoughts aside. There were more important things to handle right now.
Reigns gently patted her again and said, "It’s fine... really... I’m not going anywhere."
Just then, another phone rang, and a sound directly came through it.
[Miss, you need to come back quickly. It’s urgent.]
Nyxara’s trembling slowly eased. Although her grip loosened, she was still reluctant, but she finally stepped back. Even then, her hand still held onto his sleeve, as if she didn’t want to let go.
"You need to rest," Reigns said gently. "We both do."
Nyxara looked at him, her eyes slightly red, and asked softly, "...You won’t think about breaking up again, right?"
Reigns nodded and replied earnestly, "I won’t. I promise."
She hesitated for a long moment, and then slowly, her fingers slipped away from his sleeve as she whispered, "...Okay."
She turned and took a few steps forward, but then stopped. Her shoulders trembled slightly, though she didn’t turn back and only said it softly.
"Don’t disappear."
Then she walked away, and the door closed behind her with a quiet click.
Silence filled the room.
Reigns stood there for a few seconds before dragging a hand down his face and muttering, "What the hell is going on?"
He let out a long breath. Finally, there was peace.
Then he grabbed his hair and roared, "This is mess..."
"After being struck by lightning... did I end up in a parallel world or something?"
"My my name and everything else... it’s all the same."
Reigns turned around and looked at the room again. It was the same old room with the same layout, the same desk, the same chair, and the same PC.
His gaze lingered on it as he muttered, "This is getting creepy."
He walked over and sat down slowly. The chair creaked lightly, feeling far too familiar. Then he reached out and pressed the power button.
The screen flickered and booted up. The internet was there, working.
Reigns’s eyes narrowed slightly as he muttered, "...No way."
With that, he quickly opened the browser and started searching for information, anything at all, to confirm whether his previous knowledge still existed or if something was seriously wrong with this world.
The internet wasn’t any different from his previous world... except for the sites and their contents.
Most of the search results were filled with terms like Class, Awakening, Zones, Level, Tiers, and similar topics.
After racking his brain trying to make sense of everything and slowly piecing together the scattered fragments of his memories, he finally managed to understand a few things.
Awakening.
It was the process of obtaining a class and connecting to the world’s Global System, which granted you a system ability similar to a LitRPG system along with a specific class.
People could awaken on their own or use an awakening stone as support. There was no such thing as gaining massive power just from awakening itself. The only advantage was that the earlier you awakened, the more time you had to level up.
The next concept was Zones.
If someone failed to awaken by the age of 18, the system would assign them a random class one day before the new year when they were around 18.
At exactly 31st December, 11:59 PM, the new batch of awakeners would be transported to the Zones.
Zones were like pocket dimensions or even entire worlds on their own. The newly awakened people of the same batch would then be sent to the same zones.
It was similar to a beginner village or a starting world, designed to help people to grow and level up.
Zones were divided into several types. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Green zones were the ones where you could enter and leave whenever you wanted.
Yellow zones had level restrictions, and a boss monster had to be defeated before you were allowed to exit.
Red zones were the most difficult ones, where awakeners had to fulfill certain conditions before they were allowed to leave.
Even if you had already awakened, you couldn’t enter these zones until the system transported you for the first time on your 18th age.
After returning from the beginner zones, however, you could enter them freely whenever you wished.
As for how to enter, you simply needed to lie flat, close your eyes, and summon the system.
"Damn... that’s too much to process..."
Reigns muttered under his breath as he leaned back slightly, rubbing his temples with his fingers while trying to calm the flood of information rushing through his mind.
"Also, the one who awakened earlier... won’t they be far beyond the beginner level? Thankfully, the system imposes a limit on them, and they can’t view the status screen unless they enter beginner zones."
He frowned as he spoke, his brows tightening while he tried to reason things out. After a moment, he let out a slow breath as a small sense of relief settled in.
Reigns cracked his fingers one by one, then leaned forward again, his eyes sharpened as they focused on the screen while he continued searching further.
CLACK... CLACK... CLACK...
The sound of the keyboard echoed through the quiet room as his fingers moved rapidly.
Soon, he opened a wiki page explaining the world’s history.
At the end of the Fifth Aeon, year 791, after Leonard banished the Evil Gods, the world became unstable. This allowed countless otherworldly beings to force their way in.
Rifts tore across the sky, dungeons appeared, and countless evil monsters began roaming the world freely.
Before all this, awakening only meant the ability to store and channel mana. But after these events, everyone could awaken and gain access to the system.
This raised humanity’s average strength and allowed them to fight back against the outsiders and monsters.
There was much more written, but Reigns’s eyes suddenly stopped at something that was tucked into a corner that was almost hidden.
Leonard’s other name was Kael Veydrin.
An ancestral noble family that dated back to the Fifth Aeon.
"Wait...Wait..."
Reigns suddenly howled as he grabbed his head tightly with both hands. His fingers dug into his hair as a sharp realization struck him.
"If I am correct... my girlfriend’s name is Nyxara Val Veydrin... don’t tell me she’s a descendant of Veydrin, the God of this world."
His voice turned tense and unsteady as he stared at the screen.
"The hellllll?"
