After Yun Sheng took the girl, she decided to leave Moon-shaped Spring Town altogether to avoid any more trouble.

Standing on the official road at the town’s entrance, Yun Sheng found herself lost.

She had heard that outside of Moon-shaped Spring Town, there was a civilian cave where the Human Clan lived, but she didn’t know its exact location.

In desperation, Yun Sheng had to put down the girl in her arms and ask around.

The child didn’t know whether she was scared stiff or apprehensive because of Yun Sheng’s harsh demeanor, as she hesitated to speak.

"What a little mute gourd. Our master saved you, you should at least say thank you," Bo Bo Sheep on Yun Sheng’s shoulder couldn’t stand it any longer; it fluttered its fleshy wings and landed in front of the child, scolding her fiercely.

Perhaps it was the first time seeing such an adorable Demon Beast, the child, initially too scared to move, finally reacted, and she even wanted to reach out and touch Bo Bo Sheep.

Just as Bo Bo Sheep was about to flare up, Yun Sheng shook her head at it.

"Hmph, my dear master is all bark and no bite, always saying not to meddle," Bo Bo Sheep could only pretend to be gentle, allowing the Human Clan girl to touch it a few times.

The girl’s eyes sparkled.

The girl sneaked a glance at Yun Sheng and saw her cheerful expression and felt very at ease.

"Are you a sheep?"

Upon hearing this, Bo Bo Sheep fluffed up with indignation and smacked the child’s hand with its fleshy wings.

"You’re the sheep; your whole family is sheep! You are not allowed to touch this world’s God, only my dear master can touch me."

"I’m a human, and my whole family are humans, so we can’t enter the town; my mother’s illness keeps getting worse," the child was startled by Bo Bo Sheep’s sudden change in attitude.

She wished she were a cute Demon Pet like Bo Bo Sheep, so when she got sick, someone would help treat her.

"Bo Bo, stop messing around, young lady, we mean no harm. You just mentioned someone in your family is sick. From what I recall, the medicines you were trying to take were for tuberculosis patients. Can you tell me where she is now? I am a doctor and might be able to help," Yun Sheng scolded Bo Bo with a sidelong glance.

This guy, looking like a sheep, yet refusing to be called one.

The young girl didn’t know anything about this world’s God.

Earlier, when Yun Sheng saw her stealing medicine, she noticed that the drugs were for treating tuberculosis, so she deduced that the girl’s family member likely had the disease.

"Doctor, how do you know my mother has tuberculosis? She’s in the house not far from here; you must save her," upon hearing Yun Sheng was a doctor, the girl knelt in front of Yun Sheng, pleading fervently.

Yun Sheng immediately agreed to follow the child and walked with her.

Knowing her mother might be saved, the girl became much more cheerful along the way.

She also told Yun Sheng and Bo Bo Sheep that her name was Yingying, and she was eight years old.

Guided by Yingying, Little Yun Sheng walked a considerable distance, eventually arriving at a cluster of rundown houses ahead, where some children were playing.

This must be the civilian cave where the Human Clan gathered on the Bahuang Continent.

The scale of the civilian cave was quite large, nearly half the size of Moon-shaped Spring Town, but the living conditions and houses here were noticeably worse than those in the town.

There were no walls to protect against wild beast attacks, only some crude broken fences.

The houses and water wells were also dilapidated, indicating poor sanitary conditions. In such places, a tuberculosis outbreak could endanger the entire village.

Yun Sheng frowned, feeling angry over the poor living conditions of the Human Clan on the Bahuang Continent.

As they approached the civilian cave, a few members of the Human Clan spotted them.

"Disease ghost, tuberculosis ghost, get lost," several children shouted at the little girl, spitting and throwing stones at her, cursing relentlessly.

"Bo Bo, these nasty kids are too much!" Bo Bo Sheep was indignantly rising, poised to punish those nasty children.

Their mean-spirited antics reminded her of the bullying she faced early in the Divine World.

"It’s okay; after my mother got sick, the people in the civilian cave refused to let us live there," the girl seemed resigned to the insults, lowering her head and continuing on.

Continuing past the civilian cave, they walked another ten miles until dusk when, under the dim sunset glow, they arrived at an abandoned brickyard.

The brickyard was situated by a murky stream, serving as home to the girl and her mother.

"You live here? How can people live here?" Yun Sheng frowned deeply.

The Human Clan’s living conditions on the Bahuang Continent were already dismal, but this brickyard where the girl and her mother lived was even worse.

A doghouse would be better than this.

If nearby Demon Beasts attacked, this place would be the first to suffer.

"Yingying, cough cough, you’ve returned, Mother told you before..." A coughing sound interrupted Yun Sheng’s thoughts from the run-down brickyard.

The brickyard was cramped, moving around inside felt like being a little mouse burrowing into a hole.

Yun Sheng had to stoop, clutching Bo Bo Sheep, as she entered.

Dim light revealed a tattered, emaciated woman lying on a bed.

"Yingying, I’ve told you many times not to go to the town; those Half-Beasts will kill you," the woman said weakly.

Her daughter Yingying often sneaked into the town.

Since the town banned members of the Human Clan, town doctors wouldn’t treat them.

Thus, Yingying could only sneak into the doctor’s shop in town to steal medicinal herbs, though she was caught and beaten nearly to death seven or eight times out of ten attempts.

This time, had Yun Sheng not happened by, the girl likely would have been beaten to death.

"Mother, I brought a doctor, she’s very powerful; those Half-Beasts in town were chased away by her," Yingying said joyfully.

"What! Yingying, I don’t want any treatment." The woman was startled upon hearing this, struggling to sit up.

Only then did she see her daughter hadn’t returned alone this time; her face turned ashen on recognizing Yun Sheng as a Human Clan member.

"Young lady, please leave quickly. We mother and daughter are powerless and offending the town’s doctors means certain death. Please, have mercy on us and leave," she pleaded, intending to usher Yun Sheng out.
