"You can truly do that?" He Lai could hardly believe it.

"Anything I, Yun Sheng, promise, I will surely accomplish. Well then, Master Helai is a smart man. I imagine you already have your answer in your heart," Yun Sheng said, putting away the Zither.

He Lai hesitated for a moment, but in the next instant, he had already come to a decision.

"He Lai is willing to form an alliance with the Human Clan. From this day forward, we will advance and retreat together, never abandoning one another," he said, extending his hand.

Yun Sheng smiled calmly and also extended her hand. Their hands clasped together.

Just then, the gates of the Mayor’s Mansion swung open.

Outside the door, several hundred Half-Beast Warriors who had been imprisoned in the cells surged in.

At their head was Xiong Ce. What did he see?

How could someone like that so easily ally with the Human Clan?

Full of doubts, Xiong Ce and the others hurried straight to the Mayor’s Mansion.

When they stepped through the door, the first thing they saw was Yun Sheng and He Lai shaking hands in alliance.

In Xiong Ce and the others’ eyes there was disbelief, but also shock.

In a single night, Yun Sheng’s status in their hearts, after what had happened, had risen to a whole new height.

Xiong Ce no longer hesitated. Leading the several hundred Half-Beasts, he dropped to his knees.

"Xiong Ce is willing to lead all the Half-Beasts in the town in submitting to Lord Yun!"
