Live-in Son-in-law
Chapter 1400: Finding People
Qin Yi said, "There is indeed something I need to trouble you with."
Wang Hai hastily said, "No need for formalities, Young Master Qin. Whatever you need, just tell me."
"Help me find a few people."
"Young Master Qin, please speak."
Qin Yi pondered for a moment, "Someone named Jing Wuyan, or Yun Mengyao will do. Also, help me find an Elf, about twenty years old, very pretty, with low cultivation, named Hua Nian."
Qin Yi once asked Xiao Yezi about her sister’s situation, and these were all details Xiao Yezi told him.
"Jing Wuyan?" Wang Hai’s face changed, somewhat shocked. "Is he the young master of Netherworld Hall?"
"Do you know him?"
Wang Hai shook his head, "I’m of humble standing, how could I have seen such a person? However, there are many people from Netherworld Hall in North City, I’ve heard of this young master."
"Since you say there are many people from Netherworld Hall in North City, finding Jing Wuyan should not be difficult."
Wang Hai nodded, "That’s not difficult, as long as he’s still in North City, we’ll definitely find him. But, Young Master Qin, finding the Elf might be somewhat challenging."
While speaking, Wang Hai took a glance at Xiao Yezi in Qin Yi’s arms, and whispered, "Young Master Qin should know that the price of Elves is very high. Especially for Elves in their twenties, at the Slave Market, they’re rare and highly sought after. These Elves aren’t just captured; they’re sold to nobility, making it very hard to find them."
Qin Yi looked at Xiao Yezi. Luckily, Xiao Yezi’s attention was focused on the apple in her hand, and she hadn’t heard their conversation.
"Do your best to help me find her, no matter the cost. Here’s what we’ll do: spread the word that I’m staying at the Yunfeng Inn. If anyone can provide information on Hua Nian, I’ll reward them with fifty thousand gold coins. If anyone can find Hua Nian, I’ll give them a hundred thousand gold coins. Furthermore, if anyone dares to harm Hua Nian, if it’s an individual, I’ll tear them apart. If it’s a faction, I’ll annihilate them completely."
Wang Hai felt a violent shock in his heart; he didn’t doubt Qin Yi’s words for a second, nor would he foolishly question their authenticity. For a person whom even the Sword Sect cannot handle, ordinary factions wouldn’t even have the chance to escape.
"Rest assured, Young Master Qin, within two hours your message will be circulating all over North City."
Qin Yi slightly nodded, "Thank you, and there will be a substantial reward afterwards. Goodbye!"
"Take care, Young Master Qin."
Wang Hai watched Qin Yi leave, only then daring to straighten his back.
Immediately, he hastily instructed someone to carry out Qin Yi’s tasks.
...
Qin Yi left the branch of the Sinister Money House and went straight to the Fuyuan Restaurant in South City.
The shopkeeper saw Qin Yi and hurried forward to greet him.
"Little Master Qin, you’re back. I’ve been waiting for you for so long."
"Why? Is there something up?"
The shopkeeper smiled broadly, "The clothes for this little Fairy have been finished."
"Really? Well done. Lead me to them." Qin Yi smiled, surprised that in less than a day, ten outfits were completed; the shopkeeper’s efficiency was indeed high.
"Please, Little Master Qin, the clothes are already in your room."
Back in the room, clothes were neatly arranged on the table.
Qin Yi picked up a piece and took a look; it was pretty much like his design.
"Little Master Qin, are you satisfied? If not, I can have them altered." The shopkeeper said nodding courteously.
Qin Yi picked up a white outfit, akin to a little dress, "Xiao Yezi, does it look nice?"
Xiao Yezi’s eyes sparkled, she nodded her little head and replied in her childish voice, "Very pretty."
Qin Yi smiled, "All these are for Xiao Yezi. Do you like them?"
"For Xiao Yezi?" The little one beamed with joy, then nodded her head, "I like them."
Qin Yi looked at the shopkeeper, "Go, find a woman to help Xiao Yezi change clothes."
"Little Master Qin, the Female Tailor from yesterday is in the store. I’ll go call her over. If anything doesn’t fit, we can alter it on the spot." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Qin Yi nodded.
"Just wait a bit, Little Master Qin." The shopkeeper said, backing out.
Xiao Yezi happily held the new clothes against herself, evidently whether girl or woman, there’s little resistance to pretty clothes.
But soon, Xiao Yezi became troubled, her little face scrunched up like a bun.
Qin Yi asked curiously, "What’s wrong?"
Xiao Yezi pouted, "Big Brother, Xiao Yezi can’t wear these clothes."
"Hmm?" Qin Yi was surprised, "These clothes were made to your size. If they don’t fit, an older sister will alter them for you on the spot, they’ll surely fit."
"But Xiao Yezi has wings; these clothes don’t have holes at the back, Xiao Yezi can’t get into them."
Qin Yi was taken aback, then he chuckled, realizing he had forgotten about that.
Just then, the Female Tailor followed by the shopkeeper came in, whom he met yesterday.
Qin Yi explained the problem to the Female Tailor, asking if there was any solution.
The Female Tailor said, "Sir, rest assured, this isn’t hard to solve."
"Then I leave it to you, sorry for the trouble."
Qin Yi and the shopkeeper left the room, closing the door behind them.
A daughter should avoid her father, and a son should avoid his mother. Although he treated Xiao Yezi as his own daughter, Xiao Yezi was still a girl; changing clothes is indeed more suitable for a woman to handle.
Qin Yi looked at the shopkeeper, "There’s something I need to trouble you with."
The shopkeeper quickly said, "Little Master Qin, you’re not slapping my face, are you? It’s an honor for me to serve you, whatever you need, just order; I’ll surely accomplish it."
Qin Yi’s lips slightly raised; he liked people who could speak and act efficiently.
Qin Yi repeated to the shopkeeper the words he told Wang Hai, still seeking news about Xiao Yezi’s sister.
The shopkeeper thumped his chest assuring, "Little Master Qin, rest easy, within an hour your message will be all over South City."
Qin Yi slightly nodded, "I’m owing you so much that I almost can’t repay."
"Little Master Qin, speaking like this terrifies me. Being able to do things for you is a privilege that many would fight for. Rest assured, I’ll get it done right away."
"Wait."
"Is there anything else, Little Master Qin?"
"Find an empty room."
The shopkeeper paused momentarily, "Little Master Qin, please follow me."
The two went to an empty room. Qin Yi raised his hand to wave gently, and suddenly a pile of several thousand gold coins appeared on the ground.
"Funds are needed to get things done, take these."
The shopkeeper waved his hands repeatedly, "Little Master Qin, how could this be? To work for you, how could I take your money?"
Qin Yi laughed out loud; his words were amusing. Paying for things he gets done makes sense; it seems more reasonable that he wouldn’t pay.
"Keep it. I’m not unkind to those who truly help me."
"This..." The shopkeeper hesitated.
Qin Yi frowned, "If I’m telling you to keep it, just keep it; stop dawdling and quickly get things done."
The shopkeeper trembled, hastily saying, "Please don’t be angry, Little Master Qin, I’ll keep it. Thank you, Little Master Qin."
Qin Yi smiled, turning and leaving the room.
