Living Only For Myself: Make Those Who Hate Me Regret It
Chapter 307 - 306: "Xu Su, Am I Spoiling You Too Much?
"Susu, you’re finally back."
Through her headset, Feifei saw that Xu Su’s character was moving and said excitedly, "Let’s go! A temporary secret realm just appeared. It’s one of those extremely rare ones that High-level Cultivators can enter by suppressing their cultivation. The Sect Leader is here too, so we’ll have backup. We can go treasure hunting."
Many secret realms weren’t open to just anyone; they had strict cultivation level restrictions. This was especially true for a player like Si Xuan, who was pretty much the top expert in the entire game. He couldn’t enter most of them.
That’s why secret realms were also known as training grounds for players.
"I went to get a glass of water." Xu Su quickly scrolled through the world news. As expected, the world channel was buzzing about the appearance of the secret realm.
The number of people online in the elite group chat wasn’t very high. After a brief discussion, they quickly organized a party. In the end, they decided that Nanyang and Liu Yun would lead, with Si Xuan coming along. Since Xu Su was on vacation and happened to be online, she would of course join them.
Sika wasn’t online. Considering the time difference, it was the middle of the night for her, so she was probably still asleep.
Xu Su followed the main party into the secret realm. This was the first time she had ever entered a secret realm since she started playing Immortal World.
They hadn’t gone far before they ran into the party from Cangyue Sect. What a coincidence—their Sect Leader was also leading them personally.
Xu Su swiped across her screen and immediately spotted Yan Yue and Ge Feifei in the Cangyue Sect’s party.
Half a year had passed since the last incident. Xu Su was in the most stressful period of her senior year of high school, so the number of times she had logged on in the past six months could be counted on one hand. Even if they had wanted revenge, they couldn’t find her.
Now that they had finally met again, and with both sides having large parties, Ge Feifei and Yan Yue didn’t dare to make a move.
Instead, after a silent exchange with Si Xuan, the Cangyue Sect’s Leader, Emperor Chen Guang, deliberately looked toward the female Cultivators from the elite group. "I wonder which of you is the Qingxuan Sect Leader’s Wife?"
"Susu, he’s talking to you," Liu Yun said through the headset.
Xu Su froze, not moving an inch. She had already ended her intimate relationship with Si Xuan. ’Qingxuan Sect Leader’s Wife? That’s not me.’
Si Xuan must have said something to the Cangyue Sect’s Leader, because the other man didn’t insist on seeing Xu Su. After lingering for a moment, he led his party away.
In her in-game friends list, Si Xuan’s icon was blinking. Xu Su clicked on it. He had sent her a single message: [Don’t worry about it.]
Xu Su stared at it for a moment before replying with an ’Okay’.
The secret realm was full of treasures. Not long after they entered, the party split into several smaller teams. Xu Su went with Nanyang’s group.
The voice chat for the elite group’s small teams was on, so if they encountered danger, they could call for support right away.
Xu Su was very obedient, attacking wherever she was told and strictly following orders without causing any trouble.
By the time the sky outside had grown dark and the door to the game room was pushed open again, Xu Su was still lost in the game as Zhou Mochen walked in.
"Time for dinner." A sudden pat on her head and Zhou Mochen’s voice from behind her made Xu Su jump.
"Do you walk without making a sound?" Xu Su, thoroughly startled, turned to glare at him. "When did you get in here!"
"A little while ago," Zhou Mochen said flatly, pointing to the bottom right corner of the computer screen. "Look at the time."
7:10.
Xu Su didn’t really want to log off. It was rare for her to have a day off, and this was her first time in a secret realm. ’What’s wrong with eating a little later?’
But she didn’t want to argue with Zhou Mochen. After a moment’s hesitation, she said goodbye to Nanyang and the others and prepared to log off.
Her hand was caught. Zhou Mochen sighed. "If you want to play, you can come back for a bit after dinner."
Xu Su didn’t say anything. She pulled her hand free, got up, and went to the bathroom to wash her face before heading to the dining room.
Shen Chen wasn’t there. The dining room was utterly silent.
As usual, Zhou Mochen occasionally placed food on Xu Su’s plate.
She pushed it to the side, not touching a single bite.
The two finished their meal in silence. Xu Su wiped her lips, but before she could stand up, her wrist was grabbed.
"Can we stop fighting?" Zhou Mochen’s voice sounded a little tired.
Hearing this, Xu Su wanted to laugh.
’How ridiculous. He makes it sound like I’m the one making a scene!’
’Wasn’t he the one who suddenly got angry this time?’
’He gives me the cold shoulder whenever he wants, and now he’s saying this, acting like he’s the victim.’
’What gives him the right?’
Zhou Mochen turned to hug her. "Let’s stop fighting, okay?"
"Fine, we’ll stop fighting. Is there anything else?"
Xu Su nodded, casually agreeing with him as she stood up to avoid his embrace. "If not, I’m going back to my game."
Her voice was perfectly calm. Just as she’d said, she wasn’t fighting anymore. But her completely indifferent expression was more infuriating than any argument.
Zhou Mochen’s expression changed almost instantly. He grabbed her by the small of her back and pulled her into his arms. "What are you dodging for, huh? Am I not allowed to hold you anymore?"
Xu Su took a deep breath and let him hold her without a word.
"Are you angry with me? How about I say I’m sorry?" Zhou Mochen lowered his gaze to kiss her. He kept apologizing, but his kiss was fierce and punishing.
Xu Su endured it all, neither responding nor resisting. Only when he pulled back, breathing heavily, did she wipe her lips and ask, "Is that enough? If it is, let go."
The sight of her wiping her lips made Zhou Mochen’s eyes darken. His jawline tensed, and he could barely contain his fury.
After a long moment, he chuckled softly and said, "And what if I say it’s not enough?"
Zhou Mochen watched her quietly for a moment. "What new way have you come up with to torture me now?"
Xu Su gritted her teeth and remained silent. In truth, she was holding back so much anger she felt like she could cough up blood. She really wanted to pour the rest of the soup from the table all over his face just to see if he could still say such infuriating things.
’He gave me the cold shoulder for four days, and in the end, it’s still my fault!’
"Speak! Or is this new method of torturing me just ignoring me?" Zhou Mochen grabbed her chin and turned her face towards him, sneering, "Xu Su, have I been spoiling you too much?"
Xu Su’s hands were clenched tightly. She couldn’t understand how he could be so infuriating.
"Not talking, are you?" Zhou Mochen waited for a moment. Seeing her stubbornly remain silent, he gritted his teeth and stared at her, a vein throbbing at his temple. His expression was enough to make anyone’s knees go weak.
But Xu Su just stood there without making a sound. They were at a standoff for several minutes before the hand on her chin loosened. Zhou Mochen leaned in to kiss the finger marks on her cheek.
Xu Su turned her head away, dodging him. Zhou Mochen froze, his movements stiff. "Are you so sure I won’t hurt you that you’re determined to torture me to exhaustion?"
"Xu Su, I’m a person too. People get tired. I get really tired."
"Sometimes I can’t help but wonder, do you even really like me? Xu Su, if you like me, how can you torture me like this?"
"Just say something. Don’t ignore me..."
"What are you so angry about?"
Zhou Mochen rambled on for a long time without getting a response. His voice grew colder and colder, his composure on the verge of shattering. "Is it because I didn’t sleep with you six months ago? Is that why you’re angry?"
Xu Su was so angry she almost laughed. For the first time, she truly understood the meaning of a ’generation gap’.
’Does he not even know what he did?’
’He has absolutely no idea what I’m angry about!’
