Chapter 106: Only a First-Year, Why Are You Working?

Besides, this crab meat was imported! Others couldn’t even get a chance to eat it!

Dinner took quite a while; the two chatted as they ate until every dish on the table was gone.

It was the first time Scarlett had eaten until she was completely full and didn’t want to move.

After Andrew finished washing the dishes, he took the opportunity to give Scarlett a shoulder massage, smiling as he asked, "Scar, how was my performance tonight?"

"Not bad."

"Then can I..."

Just as Andrew was about to make a request, Scarlett lightly flicked her slipper off her foot, "Seeing as you cooked such a good meal for me, I’ll allow you to massage my feet for a while tonight."

"Ah?"

Andrew had actually wanted to ask if he could hug her for a while, or maybe sleep together tonight. He didn’t expect it would only be to rub her feet.

But he knew, whenever he started massaging her, it always ended with his choice of game.

And again, like always, he started with the feet, then legs, then body. And even Scarlett is trying to show she will not give him.

For the next two days, Scarlett was busy grading papers, recording scores, and calculating class grades; she was quite busy.

Andrew found Lucy and asked her to teach him how to knit a scarf.

Because there were too many people in other places and eyes everywhere, Andrew couldn’t learn with peace of mind. So, he took Lucy to where the studio was located.

Hannah was a little surprised when she saw Andrew arrive, "Oh my, Boss, why are you here?"

"I’m the Boss, can’t I come check on my studio?"

"Of course, of course you can."

Hannah, who was naturally quick-witted and had learned some trickery from Andrew, was becoming smoother and slicker.

Seeing Lucy next to him, she jokingly asked, "Boss, is Lucy going to be your new Girlfriend?"

"Why are you guessing wildly, if Lucy became angry, she would take back the studio," Andrew shouted at her.

At the same time he also felt guilty. After all the things, which he had done with Elena.

And one month has passed, till he has not met with Elena.

After he silenced Hannah, Mark Vane and Gary, who were hiding behind the computer screen, poked their heads out.

"Huh???"

"Go back to your work, focus on proper skills!"

After being scolded speechlessly by Andrew, the two shrunk back again.

After Hannah and the others continued to bury their heads in their work, Andrew led Lucy to a corner of the classroom, "Let’s do it here."

Andrew imitated Lucy’s posture, taking out two bamboo knitting needles. However, Lucy couldn’t help but burst out laughing when she saw him.

"How can you hold them like that? This is knitting a scarf, not holding bamboo sticks to stab yarn!"

"Then don’t block the view. Let me watch and learn again."

They say that mastery requires specialization. In the matter of knitting a scarf, Andrew gained a profound understanding.

Lucy earnestly taught him for an entire afternoon, and Andrew barely managed to learn how to knit. He even pricked his finger several times in the process.

What he finally knitted couldn’t exactly be called a scarf; it looked more like a piece of ragged cloth.

Seeing it Lucy started laughing. When Andrew received a call from Scarlett.

"Scar, why are you calling me?"

"Coming home? Why? I’m already off work. I called you because I saw you weren’t waiting in the car for me."

Scarlett was baffled by Andrew’s question.

"Ah? It’s already evening?"

Andrew looked out the window and only then realized the sky was already starting to darken. He had been so focused on learning to knit the scarf that he hadn’t noticed how fast time flew.

Scarlett, on the other end of the line, felt like Andrew was hiding something bad from her again, so she questioned him, "What are you doing now? How can you not even know it’s evening?"

"Uh..."

"Don’t lie! Or you’ll be in trouble!"

Scarlett’s sharp reprimand startled Andrew so much that his phone almost flew out of his hand. This was completely different from the spirited, chatty demeanor he had when facing the big boss earlier.

This made the nearby Lucy cover her mouth and laugh incessantly.

Andrew’s brain was spinning rapidly; he absolutely could not tell the truth now, as that would expose the gift-giving matter. But if he lied casually, Professor Scarlett would easily see through it. Time ticked by, and after five seconds, Andrew felt he was doomed.

Just at this critical moment, Lucy quickly whispered in his ear, "Just say you are tutoring me in Advanced Mathematics! I’ll cover for you."

"Right, right!"

Andrew immediately adopted the suggestion: "I’m helping the class monitor tutor Advanced Mathematics. Her Advanced Mathematics isn’t very good."

"Tutoring? You?"

Scarlett thought about Andrew’s lazy study habits and wondered how he could tutor anyone else.

"Scar, really. The class monitor and I are just about to head over now."

"Alright then, I’ll wait for you."

Andrew and Lucy immediately got up to leave. To prevent Scarlett from finding out about the scarf knitting, they both left the yarn directly in the studio.

A while later, Hannah and the others got hungry and decided to go eat. As they left, they curiously glanced at what Andrew had been busy with all afternoon.

"What is the boss busy with? He’s been with his class monitor all afternoon. Even couples don’t spend that much time together, right?"

When the four of them saw the yarn and the partially knitted scarf, they exchanged glances, staring wide-eyed at each other.

"Knitting a scarf? Is the boss having someone teach him how to knit?" Hannah couldn’t figure it out at all.

Mark Vane and Gary, the two big guys, were even more bewildered, "Isn’t his family quite rich? Couldn’t he just buy a scarf?"

Only Hannah guessed something close to the truth. She said with a smile, "I think the boss is preparing to knit it himself to give to his Girlfriend, right?"

Then, Hannah provided her reasoning, "Think about it, the rich woman driving the Bentley we saw last time is most likely the boss’s mysterious sugar mommy. But why would a rich person sponsor a freshman to start a business? The risk is too high. So there is only one truth!" 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"What?"

"That rich woman driving the Bentley is the boss’s Girlfriend!"

"Ah????"

Hannah continued, "Think about it, he also drives an Audi, and he has some relationship with Professor Scarlett. His family must not be short of money either. Just buying something to give lacks novelty, which is why he wants to personally knit a scarf!"

The three listened to Hannah’s coherent explanation and nodded one after another.

"That makes a lot of sense."

Andrew hurriedly took Lucy to the parking lot, where they met Scarlett.

Seeing Andrew and Lucy together, Scarlett still felt a little displeased.

Even though she knew Andrew’s mind was entirely on her, she still had a good impression of this girl, Lucy.

But seeing the two of them arrive together, she just felt a pang of jealousy.

"I’m sorry, Professor Scarlett, I forgot to check the time."

Lucy apologized to Scarlett with a smile.

Scarlett nodded, "It’s fine. It’s great that you two are truly studying together."

"Mhm, mhm, mhm."

Both Andrew and Lucy nodded vigorously after hearing that. No matter how Scarlett looked at them, it seemed suspicious.

Lucy also didn’t plan to linger, disturbing Andrew and Scarlett, and prepared to leave.

"I still have to go to the cafeteria for my work-study job. I’ll get going now."

Scarlett nodded, and Andrew also signaled Lucy to leave quickly. The longer they stayed, the easier it would be to expose their secret.

But Scarlett has become a little suspicious, not about the relationship, but she thought Andrew was hiding something.

Scarlett, sitting in the passenger seat, said nothing, but still gave Andrew a displeased glance, ’What mischief is this Little Thing up to now? And he won’t tell me.’

’And last time he actually peeked at my computer!!! I’ll deal with him when we get home!’

Andrew was focused on driving and didn’t hear what Scarlett said, so he assumed she wasn’t paying attention and continued speaking.

Along the way, the two chatted a bit more casually, and Andrew didn’t notice anything unusual.

But when they got home, as he entered the house and closed the door behind him, he saw Scarlett glaring at him angrily with her arms crossed.

Seeing Scarlett’s expression, Andrew’s heart instinctively sank.

’It’s over, I’m dead.’

"Confess honestly. Last time I asked you to go to my office to get a USB drive, did you secretly look at the computer in my office?"

(I don’t even know, just want to end it quickly, I am getting really no response on this.)
