Fyeng Wanru, Wu Qingcheng, Yuer, Manshu and others were aiding Ye Liuyun in slaying the Yin-souls and zombies, quickly drawing him closer to Meng Lianhun.

Dragon Lady and Lei Ming, on the other hand, led the demons to attack Liao Changfeng. Ye Liuyun’s people had mastered the Fatal Scripture, thus immunised to poisons. Liao Changfeng was the first to be surrounded.

He couldn’t wrap his mind around why none of them could be affected by even his deadliest venoms.

They even seemed to be absorbing the poison, turning it into a weapon of their own.

Next was Meng Lianhun, struck by a few Qiankun Palms from Ye Liuyun, which were brimming with the power of Buddha’s halo. This dissipated all the Yin-souls surrounding him, and with his body shining with Buddha’s halo, he charged towards Meng Lianhun.

The evil spirits were originally in awe of Ye Liuyun as the Lord of the Ghostic World. Even under Meng Lianhun’s frantic drumming, they chose to sidestep Ye Liuyun and aimed their attacks elsewhere.

Vermilion Bird was not a coward, fearlessly set fire to everything around and devouring the Yin-souls.

Fyeng Wanru’s Asura sword will made the souls too fearful to approach.

Meng Lianhun noticed that his energy was being suppressed. He wanted to flee, but Ye Liuyun’s spells held him firmly in their grasp. He could not move quickly enough and was ultimately caught.

All three of them were at the sixth realm, so they weren’t too powerful to begin with. Once surrounded by Ye Liuyun and associates, they were at no advantage.

The only one escaped was Ji Wujiang. This guy was too cunning, not daring to approach Ye Liuyun and the others at the beginning, hence the fastest to escape.

While the clone and Su Miaoyin secretly followed behind, they also ordered Ye Tiandao to intercept him on the other side.

Ye Liuyun, too indifferent to take them with him, let them return to the city on their own. He gathered everyone back into the spatial world and chased after Su Miaoyin.

Two days later, Ye Liuyun caught up with Su Miaoyin, but even with the Soaring Boots, his clone was unable to keep up with Ji Wujiang. Presumably, Ji Wujiang too had treasures that aided in escape.

A thought surfaced in Ye Liuyun’s heart upon hearing this, "With the clone’s divine sense and Golden Phantom Eyes, it’s impossible for him not to notice Ji Wujiang’s presence if he’s nearby. The woman either lied or she is..."

"Where is the woman?" Ye Liuyun immediately asked Ye Tiandao.

"She just went not far!" Ye Tiandao replied.

"Bring her back! She could potentially be Ji Wujiang in disguise! Don’t reveal your suspicion, just say you want more details and keep her engaged. My clone will be there shortly, we will know once he takes a look."

Ye Liuyun immediately ordered Ye Tiandao to detain the woman until his clone arrived.

Fortunately, the woman had just left and didn’t go far, being chased back by Ye Tiandao.

"What other instructions do you have, Captain?" The woman seemed astonished.

"Wait a moment, our Great Commander is on his way and he wants to question you personally." Following Ye Liuyun’s instructions, Ye Tiandao did not reveal her intentions, and commanded her men to surround her.

"But... Commander, I’m just passing by, I’ve already told you everything I know! Why are you still making things difficult for me?" The woman had a pitiful look on her face, inducing sympathy.

"Enough with the nonsense! I just wanted you to explain the situation to me since I can’t intercept anyone, I won’t make things hard for you!"

She turned and walked away without letting her argue any further. The Blade Legion all formed a formation to encircle her. The woman had no choice but to wait on the spot.

"Could it be that Ji Wujiang also possesses some kind of illusionary sorcery, that’s why he could disguise himself so convincingly?" Ye Tiandao wondered.

But she had always unquestioningly followed Ye Liuyun’s orders. Right or wrong, she will do as instructed.
