Lord Of Puppets
Chapter 237 – Two wonderers – Part 2.
"Annnnnd! Here we are!" – said Ariva who was still disguised as middle-aged man as she and vampire Porai arrived near the edge of the forest.
"This is the golem dungeon.... Ah... It really had been quite some time since I last came here."
"And yet. The vibe here is completely different." – said Ariva as the vampire girl gotten off her horse while the witch turned back to her original form.
"....Probably if we were to enter this forest, we would end up getting jumped."
"...You... You said something about ’child’." – said Porai.
"What do you mean by that? And why are you talking about being jumped?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, there is good chance that these golems may think of us as enemies at the start." – replied Ariva.
"We can probably will end up destroy few of them, but it is better if we keep the damage to the minimum." – said Ariva as he suddenly extended her hand towards the vampire while starting to cast a spell.
The vampire got extremely alarmed, thinking that Ariva was about to "erase" her.... However, the moment she casted her spell, the woman was completely unharmed.
And instead, a small barrier appeared around the horse.
"A simple concealment barrier." – said Ariava as from her own palm, blood began spilling, unleashing a massive volume of it.
And right in the next moment, the blood took on the form of beastly creature which stood on the two legs, showcasing its monstrous claws equipped with three swordlike fingers.
"Well then, horse are secure." – said Ariva.
"It is time to go." – said Ariva as she extended her hand towards the vampire.
"Common. Grab on. We are taking shortcut."
"..."
The vampire with hesitation grabbed onto Ariva’s hand, before moments later the woman instantly began casting a spell.
[Space Magic: Teleportation Type: Warp Jump]
The sphere of magic suddenly enveloped two woman while the space inside of the sphere started warping into itself, before the sphere itself flashed a light.
And as the flash ended, the sphere was nowhere to be seen, with the space itself being restored to normal.
However, the two woman were nowhere to be seen.
However, upon its restoration, the two woman were nowhere to be seen.
And at the same time, the same distortion appears inside of the forest, before few seconds later the distortion restored itself.
And from the restored space appeared two woman.
"..."
(Teleportation type space magic.) – thought Porai.
(Dammit. She really can do all sort of things, can’t she?)
(She manipulated guards and what not with-) 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"!"
"Hey, hey, hey. The fuck is this?!" – asked Porai as the two woman upon their arrival were instantly surrounded by the horde of golems.
"I mean, I couldn’t really teleport near the dungeon or inside of the dungeon, because how much the area had changed." – replied Ariva.
"Beside look at this."
"This wasn’t here the last time I was here." – said Ariava as she stared at the massive under construction site of a castle like small base, surrounding the dungeon’s entrance.
"It is small for a castle... But I think it is more like a defensive point or something like that."
"Either way, nice going."
"Em.... Not to complain.... But why are these golems going after us?!" – asked the panicking vampire as the golems got ready to fight.
"Oh, I lifted the illusion barrier." – replied Ariva.
"WHY?!" – asked confused vampire.
"Well, I want to meet up with my child."
"As soon as we get into the dungeon, he should notice me and recognize me."
"Or there is good chance that he can somehow see us from outside, so we can hurry up the process all together by just exposing ourselves here, in the middle of his base."
"So, it is better if we just take the direct approach." – said Ariava as the knight golems rushed in, aiming to do a pincer attack from all directions.
However, Ariva unleashed her extra limbs, sending every single one of the golems flying away and smashing into other golems that were behind them.
"Defend yourself." – said Ariava.
"You are free to destroy the golems."
"I will take the whole responsibility."
"..."
"I hope you don’t regret it." – said Porai as she used black smoke to quickly cover herself up, before then coming out of it, wearing her white coat.
The army of golems began swarming in from all directions towards the woman’, instantly covering the entire space and straight up blocking all escape routs on the ground in mere moment.
But even so, the two woman just dealt with all the golems instantly.
Ariva rear which bubbled with that appears to be a black liquid, took on the form of countless massive tentacles that just smashed away the golems with ease, while also shooting out her own blood at the groups of golems, splattering them with a blood that straight up formed something akin to glue or a web, binding all the golems in it while also using the trapped golems to block other golems movement.
The vampire was also doing her work by unleashing her liquid metal in form of hammers that dealt massive amount of damage to all of her attackers, sending the golems flying and smashing into other golems, just like Ariva did with her extra limbs.
"..."
(Damn. I did hold back because I want to avoid destroying as many monsters as possible.) – thought Porai as the golems she sent flying started already getting up.
"These ones... Are surprisingly durable." – said interested vampire as the crossbow wielding golems aimed at her, forcing the vampire to change her hammers into shields that easily blocked the hail of projectiles.
However, as the vampire blocked the crossbow bolts, the ballista golems fired off their shots, alarming the vampire who didn’t noticed in time the two golems.
The woman instantly strengthened her defense by adding more liquid metal to her defensive wall, allowing her to block off the attack and grab the two projectiles.
"..."
(Okay. This one has interesting power.) – thought the vampire that she started getting excited.
The two woman were surrounded by the endless horde of the golems.... But so far?
They were not injured even one bit.
Porai with her metal control was not only able to easily block off each of the golems’ attacks and had more than enough power to send the metallic golems flying or just straight up rip off some of their limbs.
As for Ariava?
Well... She was just playing with them.
She let the golems get near her, letting them try to attack and even sometimes standing still in order to block the attack in order to fill the impact.
(Nice... Very freaking nice Thauma.) – thought Ariava as she used her extra limbs to easily parry each and every shot that was sent her way.
(These bastards are definitely strong.)
(I guess the whole story about you slaughtering the Crow Watchers wasn’t baseless.) – thought Ariava as the boss type hound golem leaped right at her, forcing the woman to use some of her tentacles to form a defensive wall that took on the leaping bite of the creature, blocking the creature and stopping it instantly in place, while also using her tentacle shield to completely block off the creature mouth.
"Oh... This one seems interesting as well. Is it a boss?" – said Ariava as she took a closer look at the golem that was trashing around, trying to set itself free.
However, as Ariava was inspecting the golem, a ballista golem on top of the wall aimed at the woman and fired her shot... But without even looking, the woman used one of her tentacles to grab the ballista bolt that was right next her face, instantly stopping the projectile in place.
"...Huh... This one is also extremely well made." – said Ariava as she inspected the massive projectile.
(This thing can probably pierce through several average soldiers all at once, and even knights wearing full body armor.) – thought Ariava.
(And the impact... Yeah. This bastard can straight up make weapons of mass destruction... Heck. Maybe he can even make easily siege weapons.)
(And these golems alone... Heck. He grown way more than I’ve thought.)
(The last time I came spy on him he already beaten my expectation, but now he did once again!)
(It is true his dungeon is "problematic" in nature. But still....)
(Ah... I can’t wait to see you.)
(Thauma.) – thought Ariava as he horde of golems all rushed at her.... But she without mercy, unleashed a barrages of blades from blood that straight up cut to shred the golems.
Be it metal or earth.
All the golems that were hit by the blades were instantly destroyed.
"?!"
"Hey! What the hell?! What about keeping damage to minimum?!" – asked the vampire as she heled in place the golems with her liquid metal.
"Well, I was just testing if there will be some sort of reaction if I did that." – Ariava.
(You instantly destroyed several golems all at once with one strike??? Why the hell didn’t you just killed few instead???) – thought confused vampire as she began picking up and throwing around the golems.
"..."
"Hm.... No reaction..." – said Ariava as the golems did not stopped launching their attacks even for once, as yet again she was surrounded by the horde of a golems, including also several boss monsters.
"Welp. Get ready. We are going to-"
(STOP!)
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Huh."
"They.... Stopped?" – said Porai as all the golems suddenly stopped in their tracks.
"...Welp. I guess my plan worked." – said Ariava as the golems that surrounded the two woman began backing away.
"Let’s see... Thauma? Are you here? It’s me. Ariava. Your mentor, teacher and mother." – shouted Ariava.
"Can you hear me?"
"..."
The two-woman looked up as something began climbing down from the tree.
A small monkey like golem with a massive gemlike eye.
The golem stared at the demoness... Before few seconds later, the golems began moving away, making up a path for the two woman that led directly towards the dungeon.
(They are really letting us in?!) – thought alarmed Porai.
(And what she just said.... Don’t fucking tell me.)
(This dungeon belongs to her?!)
(Then.... Oh, fuck me right in my ass with dragon sized dildo.)
(These bastards really and I mean REALLY ended up picking a fight with HER?!)
(Oh god.)
(This empire may had only been born recently, but I think they maybe really fucked right now.)
"Common. Let’s go." – said Ariava.
"Let’s not keep my child waiting."
