Chapter 1060

Those who had already finished their battles with the Zodiacs quickly rejoined the main battlefield, pushing the Otherworlders back with all they had.

The beasts that were killing the Dawn forces were... although not quickly and easily being eliminated, they were still being reduced.

Scarlet was throwing flames around with minimal effort.

She refrained from going all out and just sent a few flames here and there to disorient some of the men.

While doing this, her mind spun like a cogwheel as she tried her hardest to come up with a strategy, moving around and taking down men one after the other.

Raze and Greg had already been healed as they joined back in the battle.

Arrows whistled from behind, clawing into the eyes of the enemy with brutal force.

She refused to pause as she glanced back to look at Lilly for a few seconds, then shook her head.

Her gaze drifted toward the Zodiac still seated on the throne, watching... or probably not watching.

Nobody could tell as his face was hidden behind a mask.

Even though three Zodiacs had already gone down, he didn’t even look in the slightest bit worried.

As if, if he wanted to, he could take down the threats... all of them without much effort.

On the larger battlefield, from the over five hundred thousand Dawn forces, their numbers had gone down to about two hundred thousand in the past few hours.

That’s right.

The whole battle that had been going on had lasted over two hours.

The Otherworlders were not without loss, though.

From about over four hundred thousand including beasts, they were now reduced to about two hundred thousand.

They had also lost three Zodiacs so far. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

And with the people who had taken down these Zodiacs rejoining the fight, the Otherworlders were perishing quickly.

Will they be able to win this war? Nobody knew as men died like flies.

....

Though the three Zodiacs were gone, another battle with a Zodiac was still ongoing.

Upper Zodiac Two.

Kael’s fist crashed into Lucien’s face with the force of a siege ram, throwing the man’s whole head to the side with brutal force.

He staggered backward and was about to go flying when strings made entirely out of flames burst into existence and dug into the ground, slicing through while breaking his flight before he could lift off.

Jay immediately sent balls of water launching toward the man, but a wall rose up and shifted in place, absorbing the impact of the water balls.

Then, manipulating the earth, Lucien darted forward with blazing speed and appeared before Jay with an earthen blade streaking forward with blazing speed.

Clang!

Alba intercepted the attack with her own sword.

Cracks deepened on the surface of the earth as she parried the attack away.

Mada swooped in from the side with a slash of his sword.

Spinning around, a flame spear appeared in the Zodiac’s grasp, which he proceeded to thrust forward, slamming the sword to the side.

Crack! Bang!

Snapping his head upward, Kael could be seen descending vengefully with a massive lightning club in hand.

He hurled it downward with all his might, but Lucien had already shot backward, yanked away by his collar by an earthen hand a few meters away.

Bang! BOOOM!

Kael’s club crashed into the earth, gouging it open immediately as rocks scattered into the air.

Five thousand fire arrows and five thousand earth spikes roared out and, with a snap of his fingers, they fired outward toward the group with breakneck speed.

Kael raised his hand as blood began dribbling down his nose.

’Doing this twice in a day. I’m cooked man...’

"Hollow Blue."

The energy burst forth and smashed into the fire arrows instantly, causing a massive explosion that made some of those fighting in the area pause as a blast of shockwave and wind rushed out fiercely.

The fire arrows were gone, but there still remained the earthen spikes.

’Twice in a row, huh? Man... my mana is gonna be gone.’

"Dragon of the Sea!" Jay hurled his hand forward and a leviathan beast made entirely of water surged forward with breakneck speed.

It collided with the earthen spikes in a thunderous shudder that caused the ground to rumble repeatedly, followed by the air trembling so fiercely that it seemed like a volcano was about to erupt in the area.

The beast opened its maws wide and swallowed the spikes whole before crashing into the earth, burying them all and forcing the ground to open up.

The second it opened up, it closed back up as Lucien pointed his hands forward, and instantly, the earth moved again.

This time, it was faster than they could think.

Hands rose up and clamped hard on Alba, Jay, and Mada’s feet tightly before they could even move.

It locked them all in place, binding them in the positions where they stood.

Their hands twitched, about to lash out, when earthen cuffs shot forward, pinning their hands to the ground and forcing them to the earth almost immediately.

"I wonder why I didn’t think of this earlier," Lucien snarked as he twisted and turned, searching for Kael, who had managed to escape into the shadows just in time.

"Since you want to play hide and seek, how about I destroy your hiding place?"

The ground rose up and moved upward.

One by one, pillars of earth rose into the sky.

A hundred of them; huge pillars stood in the air for a second before curving around and speeding back to the earth.

Within a moment, the pillars shattered into the ground, totally obliterating the area into giant craters in a fifty-meter radius.

A storm of dust like no other billowed into the air as Kael was forcefully ejected out of the shadows, tumbling across the earth for a few seconds.

Before he could reposition himself, Lucien had already manipulated the earth, allowing him to shoot forward like a surfer on water.

With a fiery sword in hand which he swung forward, the weapon sped toward the young man’s neck with blinding speed.

Inches away from striking him, a blood-red string shot forward with breakneck speed, coiling around Lucien’s hand and stopping him dead in his tracks.

Looking up for a moment, he was not allowed to see who had interrupted him before he was yanked forward by the string, sending his body shooting in a certain direction like an arrow.

The next second, his neck was clamped by a tight grip, bringing him forward to see who had saved Kael.

The man’s white eyes stretched wide for a second.

"E-Em-Emperor Julius?!"
