Married For Now
Chapter 296: NEW STAGE
"YOU already bought an apartment?"
"I didn’t buy it— the apartment was a gift from my parents before their divorce. But since I find it too big for me, I rarely use it."
Cho Euntak raised an eyebrow at Baek Jeho’s explanation. "Oh, so you just need a housemate?"
Of course, that was just a joke.
And Baek Jeho knew that.
Hence, his boyfriend smiled while shaking his head.
"We’re in different classes now, and I feel like dying whenever we’re not together," Baek Jeho whined. "Especially at night."
Aigoo.
Ever since Cho Euntak and Baek Jeho did it, they had been doing it almost every night.
Except when I have to wake up early for the next day.
Maybe it was because he was an Alpha, but he somehow caught up to his boyfriend’s amazing stamina.
I mean, I don’t last as long as Baek Jeho does. But, at least, I don’t faint on him. I heard from Sohee Hyung that he often passes out in the middle of doing it with Heedo Hyung-nim. Thankfully, it hasn’t happened to me yet. I guess my being an Alpha helps at times like this.
But then again, Cho Euntak hadn’t experienced sleeping with Baek Jeho yet during his rut.
"Euntak-ah, are you listening?"
"No. Sorry, I spaced out."
Baek Jeho just chuckled, squeezing Cho Euntak’s cheeks as if he found him cute. "It’s alright. What are you thinking?"
"Are you going to spend your rut with me now?"
"Why are you thinking about something so scary, babe?"
"I think I can handle it," Cho Euntak said confidently. "Jeho-ya, I’ll spend my rut with you. So, let me stay by your side during your rut. Why suffer when I’m here to help you?"
Baek Jeho fell silent for a moment, obviously thinking.
Cho Euntak didn’t let it show, but he was nervous while waiting for his boyfriend’s decision.
I know that Jeho is just trying to protect me. I’m also aware that Dominant Alphas like him tend to be a bit aggressive during their rut, especially when having sex. Having said that, I’m ready to experience it with him. I don’t want him to treat me like I’m fragile.
"Alright."
Whew.
"Let’s spend our ruts with each other, Euntak-ah," Baek Jeho said carefully. "Thankfully, your stamina is better than I expected. But, of course, we’ll still do some precautionary measures once my rut starts."
"Precautionary measures? Like what?"
"Like having an Anti-Alpha Pen within your reach."
Cho Euntak’s eyes widened in shock. "You want me to stab you with an Anti-Alpha Pen?"
"If you need to, yes," Baek Jeho said while nodding. "I don’t want to hurt you, so stab with an Anti-Alpha Pen if you think I’m being too aggressive during my rut. Only then will I agree for us to spend each other’s rut together."
Aigoo.
Well, the request wasn’t that difficult anyway.
I don’t think I’d use the pen anyway.
"Alright, let’s do that," Cho Euntak said, nodding. And then he changed the topic. "Can I see the apartment you were talking about earlier? I’ll decide whether to move in with you or not after some thinking."
Baek Jeho’s face beamed. "Alright, let’s do that."
***
IT WASN’T a simple apartment— it was a freaking penthouse.
One with the beautiful view of the Han River.
Which means this penthouse probably costs billions!
And that wasn’t surprising.
The apartment complex itself was known as the home for the biggest celebrities in the country.
In fact, I saw a famous idol in the lobby earlier.
"No wonder you think this place is too big for you," Cho Euntak said while his eyes were absorbing the posh place. Every piece of furniture there screamed luxury. Even the rugs looked like they cost millions—and they probably did. "How much do I pay for the rent, Jeho-ya?"
"Euntak-ah, why would I make you pay the rent? Plus, I don’t even have rent since I own this penthouse."
"But, surely, you pay for maintenance fees."
"Yes, and I can manage them just fine. You can live here comfortably without worrying about the bills, Euntak-ah."
"At least let me pay for groceries."
"Fine, but don’t feel pressured..." Baek Jeho trailed off, and then his eyes widened as if he were shocked. "Euntak-ah, does it mean you’re going to move in with me here?"
"Not so fast, Baek Jeho-ssi," Cho Euntak said, sitting on the very posh-looking couch. "I have my terms."
Baek Jeho sat not on the sofa, but on the floor, facing Cho Euntak while looking up at him. "What is it?"
"First, as I said earlier, let me be in charge of the groceries."
"Alright."
"Second, I want my own room."
Honestly, Cho Euntak expected Baek Jeho to throw a tantrum, or at least try to convince him to use the same room as him.
However, his boyfriend remained calm.
"Jeho-ya, you’re not going to protest?"
"I actually expected you to want to have your own room, despite living together," Baek Jeho said, shrugging. "I remember you telling me that you had shared the same room and bed with your parents until you were in your first year of middle school."
Oh, that was true.
Again, Cho Euntak came from an ordinary, rich family.
But they hadn’t always been rich.
His father’s business went bankrupt when he was in elementary school. Hence, they had to sell their old house and rent a small apartment with only one big room.
Fortunately, when he was in middle school, his father’s new business boomed.
Hence, they were able to buy back their old house, that his parents were still using up to this day. They were comfortable now, but he hadn’t forgotten the days they had to live frugally.
"You said that you were very happy after you got your own room, and that you didn’t really enjoy sharing your bed with someone else, even if they were your parents," Baek Jeho continued. "I don’t expect you to get used to sleeping with me on the same bed immediately, so of course, it’s fine if you get your own room here."
Aww.
That was nice.
"You can have the master bedroom, Euntak-ah."
"No, why would you give me the best room in this house?"
"Well, I only want the best for you."
"Don’t be silly. We need a big bed for our night activities, so you use the master bedroom."
Baek Jeho raised an eyebrow, and then asked teasingly: "Night activities?"
Cho Euntak blushed. "Hey, don’t tease me."
"Do we only do it at night?"
"Huh?"
"We can also do it in broad daylight, right?"
"Huh?"
Baek Jeho burst out laughing while getting up.
The next thing Cho Euntak knew, he was already underneath his boyfriend, his back pressed against the sofa...
... and something hard pressed against his hip.
"Yah, Baek Jeho!"
Baek Jeho gave him his irresistible puppy-dog eyes. "You don’t want to do it, babe?"
Aigoo.
"A-Are we going to do it on the sofa?"
"Why not? The sofa is big, spacious, and comfortable."
Cho Euntak covered his blushing face with his hands. "I’m experiencing a lot of things because of you, Baek Jeho."
"I hope they’re all good things," Baek Jeho said teasingly, kissing the back of Cho Euntak’s hands. "I only want you to experience good things with me, Euntak-ah."

WHEN Cho Euntak opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a huge and very comfortable bed.
He also felt refreshed, even though the last thing he remembered was being ’down and dirty’ with Baek Jeho on the sofa. As expected, his boyfriend cleaned him up and even gave him a change of clothes.
The shirt he was wearing was loose, and so were the shorts.
Clearly, those were Baek Jeho’s clothes.
"Euntak-ah, you’re awake?"
Aigoo.
Baek Jeho was walking around topless again.
That gorgeous body is really tempting...
"You must be hungry," Baek Jeho said, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I already ordered dinner since you said you wanted fried chicken and pizza earlier. But, if you want something else, just tell me and I’ll order it."
"Wait, dinner?"
"Yeah. The sun has already set."
Aigoo.
Just how long did we do it?
But, then again, the two of them were healthy bachelors.
"So, do you want to order more food?"
"No, chicken and pizza sound good. You have beer, right?"
"Yep. Beer, soju, and other fancy drinks that you may want to try."
"Beer is fine," Cho Euntak said, getting up. His back hurt a bit, but he was already used to that feeling. "I want to have a house tour while we’re waiting for our order."
"I was just about to suggest it," Baek Jeho said, smiling. "I want to show you the room that I want you to use as your studio."
"You’re giving me a studio in your place?"
"Remember when you said you wanted to be my trophy husband?"
"That was just a joke."
"I know. But I don’t hate the idea," Baek Jeho said, shrugging. "I want you to pursue arts and do whatever you want, without worrying about money, Euntak-ah. You can start any business you like, and I’ll support it financially— even if it doesn’t earn profits. I’ll work hard, so just focus on what you want. Of course, I’m not saying that I don’t think you’d succeed. I’m just telling you not to be afraid to take risks and fail— I’ll be your safety net."
Aww.
That was touching.
"I have no intention of becoming completely financially dependent on you, but I like being taken care of, so maybe I’ll really turn into a trophy husband later," Cho Euntak warned Baek Jeho playfully. "Don’t complain if the only thing I bring to the table is my existence, Baek Jeho."
"That’s more than enough, Euntak-ah. It’s already a miracle that you fell in love with a jerk like me."
"I’ll love and support you unconditionally for as long as possible, Jeho-ya."
"And so will I, Euntak-ah," Baek Jeho said, holding Cho Euntak’s hands and kissing his knuckles. "I’m already 100% that you’re the person I want to spend the rest of my life with."
Aww.
Cho Euntak smiled, blushing. "Jeho-ya, let’s go to the shop I found and make our couple rings today."
***
"WHAT THE fuck are you going to do now, you bastard?"
Tsk.
Baek Jeho glared at Kim Heedo, but he couldn’t say anything because he deserved to be cursed at.
Well, Kim Heedo also happened to be his boss now.
After he graduated from college, he refused to work in his father’s company. And, so, he applied to Ilsung Electronics— the flagship subsidiary of the Ilsung Group.
Kim Heedo was now the president of Ilsung Electronics, making him his boss.
But instead of work, the two of them were discussing Baek Jeho’s private life.
"Are you going to tell Cho Euntak?"
Baek Jeho flinched, fiddling with the couple ring in his finger.
The first couple rings that he made with Cho Euntak in a small jewelry-making shop had already tarnished since they were made of cheap metal.
So, he ordered a pair of customized rings that resembled their original couple rings.
This time, the rings were made of expensive materials, like platinum and diamonds.
"Just tell him, Baek Jeho."
"I’m afraid, Hyung."
Yes, Baek Jeho addressed Kim Heedo as ’hyung’ instead of ’president’ because he was talking to the older Alpha as a dongsaeng.
He needed Kim Heedo as a hyung and not as a boss right now.
"Baek Jeho, you can’t keep this a secret forever," Kim Heedo said, leaning against his chair while sighing. "Tell Cho Euntak that a woman is claiming that she had your child years ago."
Yes, that was Baek Jeho’s current predicament.
How can I tell Cho Euntak that I may have fathered a child with one of my ex-girlfriends?
