Chapter 2864. The World Grows

Translate to

As the storm passed and the entirety of Genesis found themselves facing the winds and dreariness of rain, the party stood together thinking.

They all had their own ideas about how they would face the fact that god classes were either waking up from slumber or that there would be those who would find their ways on to such paths to gain those classes.

It wasn't anything simple though. They knew these things could and would most likely happen. especially since they had encountered them before. However, this felt like a warning and a promise.

A warning that there would be more risks associated with these classes. A promise that they were a necessary for the way of the world as it expands and becomes larger.

That was the key to all of this. The world had returned to the size it had been in ancient times. It was gaining more mana as it was meant to. Dungeons existed as part of the world that had been lost due to too little mana. There were even naturally formed elemental runes that were more common than what they had been right at their return.

So much was being realized and it was clear that the growth of all races and monsters would increase to the point that there would be some monsters that appeared with more strength than what anyone of today understood. Or there would be people who found methods of strength that would also be the very same.

It would all depend on how people grew and held their morals. Regardless, the expansion of the world would not cease.

The elemental planes were growing. They were being expanded by the origin race and whatever beings they also employed to watch over the smaller elemental planes being mixed in to the greater elemental planes. Therefore, the elemental planes were expanding every single day in some way.

This in turn, meant that the world would keep expanding too. Eventually, the bridges to the elemental planes would also become higher in number as well. Something that would introduce a harder control of anyone and anything moving through them. Something that would need to be planned for now rather than later.

"If the world keeps getting bigger and bigger, will it eventually swallow up all of the elemental planes becoming its own elemental plane?" The thought was somewhat terrifying. But Remey wasn't thinking of something entirely impossible. Or at least it didn't feel like it was impossible.

"I would guess that it won't happen like that. There is space between the world and the elemental planes. They are connected through space and the balances that allow mana to move. The chaotic manas between them won't suddenly calm and if they did it could cause more damage as the world and the greater elemental planes slammed together. It would most likely end everything."

Everyone turned to look at Walker who was staring off in to space while speaking, even the magic he used to halt the rian from falling on them seemed to falter while he spoke even more.

"The greater elemental planes are part of that balance in the greater entirety of existence. There are more unknowns outside in the chaos causing new balance to be born. It comes together here because that is order to the chaos."

"The world will grow to match the elemental planes. We are the mixing of all the planes and what makes them up. Here in the world, the balance is perfected through natural phenomena."

He blinked a few times and then smirked a bit, "sorry, I think I channeled some time mana there. I believe the world will be fine but this means there is a lot more potential in the future of the world and the elemental planes as a whole. I don't want to look at that again."

The reason that Walker decided not to dwell on this even more was the splitting headache that came about after he had tried a bit too hard to keep that feeling of potential. It seemed trying to look at the whole of the world and elemental planes potential was something that would hurt him more than help him mentally. Not to mention the general pressure that came with trying to do something beyond his means.

"You are getting ahead of yourselves. This is all delicate balances. Look at what we dealt with. One person managed to cause a breakdown of the whole field for years and years causing everything to change. We managed to fix it b ut it is always a possibility. We might see it again in our lifetimes or our descendants will. So let's just do what we can."

"Gil's right, we should work hard here now so that we won't regret anything later or beyond our lives. These god classes already exist. We saw that statue of the moon. We know of the god of storms. We also have books and fairy tales about the others. They were once possible in ancient times but no one knew them as classes. They just called them gods because they were. But were they wrong? No, they were part of nature, that was where people and nature came together."

This perspective was much greater. Su was focused on it because it would allow the commonfolk within Genesis population to better grasp what was happening. It also wasn't something super easy to achieve.

"We shouldn't see god classes forming every day, right brother?" The worry that onyx had was that a child might be born with one and miss out on the opportunity to be a child. To be part of their people. To live life happily.

"Won't other stronger people see it?" They all paused as Midnight asked the question.

"In the world?" Remey was trying to make sure that Midnight was asking about those within the world, maybe not necessarily in the elemental planes.

"The ones we saw or felt on the edges." They all are in sharper breaths. If the god classes, embodiments of the world and its aspects were around, their strength would be superior and very much like those within the greater elemental planes.

For example, the embodiments of each elemental plane were kinds of that elemental mana. They were formed from it and represented what those manas were. They could even send the true sages to the world and represent their will here. That was simply because they too were part of the world in a way. They just did not garner enough strength here to even control or manipulate it. ๐™›๐’“๐“ฎ๐™š๐”€๐’†๐’ƒ๐“ท๐’๐“ฟ๐™š๐“ต.๐™˜๐’๐’Ž

That was a good thing, but there were powerful beings that had been trapped, forced to assist the origin race, or wandered outside of what was known. What if they noticed that the world changed and had become different. Possessed some qualities that those outside of the elemental planes had?

"I think that would mean I should be ready for things like that to happenโ€ฆ" As much as Walker didn't want to admit or say something like this, it rang all too true. He was one of the only people that would be able to contend with such things.

While the others could become stronger, they were not necessarily capable of rising to fight beings that none of them could fathom or even understand. Especially those that wandered about within the chaotic mana and potentially eating entire elemental planes formed out there.

It was hard to even consider that fighting some might even be a possibility to be honest with themselves.

"I will try to plan a time to venture back there. I will finish what I have been helping with and give out more quests with rewards. I need to make sure that everything is going well. The elemental dome and floating island projects. The academy being built. Even the new classes being documented. We even have ruins to discover more about the ancient races and the magic towers left behind. They all did so much butโ€ฆ"

"But you need to use what you can to achieve what everyone needs. We know. We are the same. And since you are so stubborn with what you work on you will have our support. So let's put aside this storm god thing and look at the rewards, right?"

'Rewards:

-Insight on the forces of the world returning as they should be

-witness the return of the natural forces classes to the world.'

These rewards they had somewhat already seen and received. But they had not contemplated all the potentials they could see from it. So taking a longer walk back to Genesis would be the ideal. While many would worry about traveling within a storm, it brought some peace to the party. Maybe that was the intention of the storm in the first place. Not just destruction, the rain falling could be a soft melody of nature that brought calm to their minds while they thought on the potential chaos they may face head on.
