Li Ran, Tajiguli, and the others were all shrewd people. They easily picked up on Ye Xiu’s implied meaning.

Li Ran said, "Name your price. I’ll buy all of this ointment." Her tone was incredibly brash.

"That won’t do. I only have this little bit left," Ye Xiu refused outright. "I can only charge per application. One charge for one treatment."

"That works. How much for one treatment?" Li Ran asked. Once I’m treated this time, I won’t need it again, so buying it all would be pointless anyway.

"One million!" Ye Xiu said with a smile.

"Are you insane?" Li Ran’s expression changed instantly.

Tajiguli and Zong Rui stared at Ye Xiu as if he were some destitute beggar. The bodyguards, on the other hand, simply gave up all hope. Their combined life savings didn’t amount to one million.

"Take it or leave it. I’m not begging you," Ye Xiu shrugged, sneering. "Besides, you all just tried to frame me. For me to not hold a grudge and offer to heal your injuries... I’m already being incredibly generous!"

Li Ran hesitated before gritting her teeth. "Fine, one million it is."

"What about you all?" Ye Xiu looked at Zong Rui, Tajiguli, and their bodyguards.

"I’ll pay the one million," Zong Rui said with a smile. Once the Martial Artist I called for arrives, I’ll make sure Ye Xiu spits this money right back out.

"A mere one million is nothing to me," Tajiguli said haughtily.

The bodyguards stammered, genuinely not having one million to their names.

Ye Xiu waved his hand grandly. "The bodyguards are free of charge."

The bodyguards were stunned. Their eyes immediately lit up, and their gazes filled with gratitude. This big brother from the mountains was incredibly honorable!

"On what grounds?" Li Ran, Zong Rui, and Tajiguli were not pleased. Li Ran challenged, "Why should we pay one million while the bodyguards don’t pay a cent?"

Ye Xiu shrugged. "The ointment is mine. I’ll give it away for free to whomever I please. I’m just doing it for fun, you know?"

Li Ran and Tajiguli were so furious they cursed Ye Xiu’s entire lineage in their minds. Zong Rui, meanwhile, secretly fumed. As soon as the Martial Artist gets here, I’ll teach this backwoods bumpkin a lesson he’ll never forget!

"Alright, bodyguard brothers, you’re up first. After you’ve all applied the ointment, Li Ran, Tajiguli, and Zong Rui can have their turn," Ye Xiu announced.

The bodyguards immediately scurried over. They first lined up to bow and thank Ye Xiu, then stripped down to their underwear to apply the ointment to their bruises in front of everyone.

Li Ran, Tajiguli, and Zong Rui gritted their teeth in frustration. It was obvious Ye Xiu was making them wait until the very end on purpose.

Soon, the bodyguards had finished applying the ointment. After Zong Rui had applied his, Li Ran and Tajiguli took the remaining ointment into a tent. They had far too many bruises, and being girls, they couldn’t just strip in public like the bodyguards.

After they finished applying the ointment, the two slyly scooped some out to hide, planning to keep it for later.

"Why is so much of it gone?" Ye Xiu asked with a frown when the two came out and he saw how much ointment was missing.

"We’re girls, and we have too many bruises, so we just used a bit more," Li Ran said.

"We have to get our million’s worth. If we can use more, of course we will," Tajiguli added with a smile.

Heh. Do they really think I don’t know they secretly hid some of the ointment? Too bad for them. This ointment only has a shelf life of twenty hours. After that, it turns into a potent poison! I’ll just have to torture them a bit more today. Then, when they sneakily apply the ointment tonight, they’ll find their skin breaking out in an allergic reaction. Hehe! Lin Xin breathed a sigh of relief. "Then you can let me leave now?" he asked. As soon as I leave and get back to the Eternal Kingdom, I’ll report to Father and the three Judicator Families. Then I’ll lead a team of experts back here to slaughter Huang Quan.

"I was just kidding," Ye Xiu said, decisively snapping Lin Xin’s neck. "Anyone from the Eternal Kingdom who inherits the Purple Pupil must die. Why would I ever cooperate with trash like you?"

Lin Xin slumped to the ground, his eyes wide with disbelief. Only then did he finally understand. Huang Quan never intended to let him leave alive from the very beginning. The only reason Huang Quan didn’t kill him on the summit of Unparalleled Mountain was because he wanted to extract information about the Eternal Kingdom. If Huang Quan had used torture, he might not have told the truth. So, Huang Quan feigned cooperation to trick the information out of him, only to discard him once he had served his purpose!

Ye Xiu absorbed Lin Xin’s Martial Prowess and then left the cold storage.

He didn’t return to the film crew right away. The Director and his cronies wouldn’t dare try anything with Ye Lin’er for now, especially with Chen Yang there to protect her.
