Medical and Martial God
Chapter 667 Robbery
Ming Yue’s heart leaped into her throat the moment she stepped through the gate. She had never experienced anything so mystical.
A single drop of blood opens a gate, and you just walk right through... Could this Eternal Kingdom be in another world?
"What is this place?"
Inside the gate was a hexagonal room made of metal, with another door directly opposite.
Kristina didn’t answer, instead opening the door facing them. Through it, Ming Yue could see the ocean, a nearby beach, distant mountains, and even more distant skyscrapers. The metal room she was in was towering, at least several stories tall.
"That door you opened with your blood... was it a teleportation gate?" Ming Yue asked with an air of naive innocence. One moment they were on a ship in the middle of a vast ocean; the next, after stepping through the gate, they were on an island.
"Just think of it that way." Kristina didn’t explain, simply pulling Ming Yue along as she leaped down and swam to the beach.
Looking back, Ming Yue realized they had jumped from a metal tower. The door Kristina had opened with her blood was its entrance. What Ming Yue didn’t know was that the tower was one of the eighteen array foundations on Biluo Island.
"We’re on Biluo Island," Kristina said hatefully. "First, we’ll go to Sanyan Village to find Xueman and An Bai. Then we’ll head to the Abandoned City to kill Qin Qing and Leng Yue."
At this moment, she wasn’t even eager to find out what had happened to the Eternal Kingdom; her only thought was to kill Qin Qing and Leng Yue to get her revenge on Ye Xiu.
"Oh!" Ming Yue hurried to follow, feeling very insecure in this foreign land, especially in the mystical Eternal Kingdom.
「Once they had left.」
Lin Feng jumped down from the tower and swam to shore. He didn’t follow Kristina, instead taking a different route straight to the airport. He needed to return to his own territory, gather his forces, and get his revenge.
As she and Ming Yue walked onto the main road, Kristina grew confused. It was just past two in the afternoon on Biluo Island. "Strange. The beach is usually bustling at this time, so why is there no one here today? There aren’t any cars on the road, either."
"Is Sanyan Village far from here?" Ming Yue asked, looking around.
"It’s about an hour and a half by car, but since there are no cars, we’ll have to run. We’ll be faster that way," Kristina said.
"Then let’s hurry!" Ming Yue urged.
Kristina laughed lightly. "It seems you can’t wait to kill Qin Qing and Leng Yue. Alright, we’ll move at full speed."
Heh, I can’t wait to see you get beaten up, Ming Yue thought, simply nodding. "Mhm!"
Just as they were about to race toward Sanyan Village at full speed, two masked figures in black leaped out from the bushes by the road.
"R-r-ro... robbery!" the plump, masked figure stammered.
"How dare you!" Kristina snapped, striking the pose of a haughty princess. "You have some nerve trying to rob me. Do you know who I am? I am Kristina, the little princess of the Golden Family. Get lost at once, or I’ll kill you."
The two masked figures exchanged a glance. The plump one’s eyes lit up as he gave Kristina a lecherous look. "We came for your valuables," he said with a greasy smile, "but since we’ve run into a princess, we’ll just have to settle for taking you instead."
Kristina’s expression hardened. How dare these wretches defy her status? "Since you’re seeking death," she said furiously, "I’ll be happy to grant it!"
With that, she flashed forward, appearing before the plump robber and striking with her palm. In her mind, Biluo Island was a place for commoners. This oaf who dared to offend her could surely be killed with a single casual strike.
"Oh, you’ve got some moves!" the plump man said teasingly, casually catching Kristina’s attacking wrist.
"What..." Kristina was shocked. She was a Second Realm War God, yet this man had neutralized her attack so effortlessly. He must be a War God of the Third Realm or higher. She asked coldly, "Who are you? I advise you not to do anything foolish. The wrath of the Golden Family is not something you can bear."
"Their wrath doesn’t matter to us," the plump man said before slapping Kristina unconscious.
Seeing this, Ming Yue’s scalp tingled. She turned to run, but the slender masked man spoke up. "We’re on the same side. No need to run."
Ming Yue stopped, startled. "You’re Ye Xiu’s people?"
The two masked men nodded and quickly took out equipment to draw and store blood, efficiently drawing a pint from Kristina. Ming Yue watched in astonishment. So they weren’t here to rob anyone but were waiting specifically to take Kristina’s blood.
"Do you know how to explain this to Kristina later?" the slender masked man asked.
Ming Yue thought for a moment, then quickly messed up her hair, tore her clothes, and gave herself a disheveled appearance. She then sat on the ground, her eyes empty and her gaze vacant.
"Smart girl," the plump man praised. He exchanged a glance with his slender companion, and the two swiftly vanished from sight.
Ming Yue stared at the spot where they had disappeared, her heart filled with shock. Ye Xiu’s influence is truly everywhere.
「Over an hour later.」
Kristina slowly regained consciousness. Remembering what happened, she sprang to her feet and tensely scanned her surroundings. "Ming Yue, you..." she started, then gasped when she saw Ming Yue slumped on the ground. "What did they do to you?"
As if on cue, tears streamed down Ming Yue’s face. "That fat one knocked you out," she sobbed. "He was going to assault you, but I desperately tried to stop them... so they... they both assaulted me instead."
Kristina quickly checked herself and felt no different; she was untouched. She realized with a jolt that Ming Yue must have drawn the robbers’ attention away from her. A wave of guilt and immense gratitude washed over her.
"Ming Yue," she said, her voice thick with emotion, "you saved my life once before, and now you’ve lost your innocence to save me again. Rest assured, I will compensate you. As long as I’m alive, no one will ever lay a finger on you again."
Ming Yue continued to sob, though inside she was overjoyed. This is exactly what I was waiting for her to say.
"Get up," Kristina said through gritted teeth, helping Ming Yue to her feet. "Let’s go to Sanyan Village. After we find Qin Qing and Leng Yue, we’ll vent all of our fury on them."
"Okay," Ming Yue nodded, putting on an expression full of rage at the world.
「Forty minutes later.」
The two arrived at Sanyan Village at a run. Kristina stood in the street and shouted, "Xueman! An Bai! Are you there?"
Her yell brought out the entire village.
