Chapter 1142: Galactical Cores

"I know your Angels work by you injecting power into them from the Faith and prayers you have gathered; that much I can tell just by glancing at a random, rather unintelligent Angel of yours," the Demon King continued, "and yes, you indeed plan to do whatever you’ve done in the Divinora Galaxy to the Arcanis Galaxy, which involves spreading your fame and all that, farming Faith and prayers as you yourself grow stronger from it." He paused for a moment, as though allowing the God’s projection to follow his every carefully chosen word.

"But, I’m guessing that after you conquered the Divinora Galaxy and gathered all the Faith and prayers you could, you tried to tear a hole through the layers of Reality and the Laws that separate the Lower Galaxy and the Upper Galaxy so that you might find a way to ascend," the Demon King continued, "but ultimately, that failed, as the Boundary between an Upper Galaxy and a Lower one isn’t so easily torn apart, because if it were, the entire procedure of Ascension would be rendered utterly meaningless."

The more the Demon King spoke, the more silent the God’s projection became; he didn’t blink, he didn’t speak, he simply listened with calm stillness.

"So, what do you do? Simple, find another Galaxy. Since one couldn’t grant enough power, then two would be sufficient, and that’s precisely why you are here," the Demon King stated, "you farm your prayers and Faith, then attempt to forcefully ascend one more time. But I know that this takes time; after all, a Galaxy is so vast that it is not easily conquered, but I’m sure you possess the patience required." The Demon King’s projection mused outloud, "but that isn’t your ultimate plan. You have already prepared for failure, if your ascension fails again, this time, you would simply attempt to locate the cores of both the Arcanis Galaxy and the Divinora Galaxy, using them as sources of immense power to tear a hole through the Laws and Layers of Reality itself, and then ascend." A smirk slowly formed on the Demon King’s lips.

The God’s projection sat stunned; every single word that left the Demon King’s lips had been a direct hit, not a single detail was out of place. The God’s projection couldn’t help but ask himself a single question: how?

How did the Demon King know all of this? Only he himself was supposed to know, after all, it wasn’t as though he had some trusted second-in-command with whom he had shared his plans. He was the sole source of his plans, hence there should have been absolutely no possibility of a leak.

This left only one possible conclusion; the Demon King was simply that intelligent, that terrifyingly perceptive, that with just a few scattered clues, he had deduced everything from beginning to end.

"But that isn’t all, my dear mighty God," the Demon King continued, his confidence almost tangible, "if you truly had such an ultimate backup plan of using two Galaxy cores, it means that you are confident in your ability to find them. After all, even I, the Demon King who has existed here for a few billion years, haven’t found the Arcanis Galaxy Core. But if you are so confident, it can only mean one thing... you’ve already found the Divinora Galaxy Core."

That last statement struck like an explosion within the God’s projection’s mind; it was as if the Demon King sitting before him could peer directly into his thoughts, his intent, his very will, which should have been utterly impossible.

Indeed, he, the God of the Divinora Galaxy, had truly found the core of the Divinora Galaxy.

"But, just as you had attempted to ascend after conquering the Divinora Galaxy and amassing Faith, I’m certain that after finding the Divinora Galaxy Core, you must have tried using it to ascend. And even if you attempted it and failed, such an action should have created a massive backlash across the ripples of the Divinora Galaxy, making everyone suffer as a consequence of your actions... yet they all seem perfectly fine, as though nothing had happened, as though... you never used the Divinora Galaxy Core to force your Ascension," the Demon King intoned, completely unbothered by the piercing gaze the God’s projection directed at him. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"So, observing your Galaxy thriving without any form of Existential Collapse, without any alteration in the Laws that govern it, and without even a tremor within the Threads of Existence, I came to two conclusions. One, either you learned not to be hasty and decided not to use the Divinora Galaxy Core at all, or two... you have found the Divinora Galaxy Core, but you have no True access to it," the Demon King stated with absolute calmness, as though he had personally witnessed the entire sequence of events unfold.

The God’s projection refused to speak, remaining completely silent.

"But I’m inclined to believe the second option," the Demon King stated, "though I’m certain that after a few thousand years of attempts, or perhaps merely a few hundred, you eventually discovered a way to access the Galaxy Core, even if only partially. And yet, even that limited access was enough for you to realize that a single core wouldn’t suffice, you needed two Galactical Cores. Which is precisely why you are so interested in the Arcanis Galaxy; it is the first Galaxy you’ve discovered after spending so long searching for one and attempting to establish a stable connection." The Demon King mused, his face still bearing that same playful expression, making no effort whatsoever to conceal it.

Although the God’s projection didn’t interrupt him, didn’t shout, didn’t demand answers as to how he had come to possess such knowledge, the Demon King didn’t mind. He simply relished moments like these, moments where he could display the terrifying depth of his intelligence, honed and refined through billions of years of scheming, manipulation, and constant conflict.

"But ultimately, I will admit, you are better than me; you are the ’good guy,’" the Demon King continued, "after all, you are attempting to take over the Arcanis Galaxy and ascend through the additional boost of Faith and prayers you would receive. Because if I were in your position, I would have immediately chosen the second option, the use of the Galactical Cores. But you refuse to do this, because you understand the consequences. You know that the moment you activate both Galactical Cores, the Arcanis Galaxy and the Divinora Galaxy would collapse into absolute nothingness, as everything within them, every star, every planet, every living being, would be sacrificed to forcibly trigger your ascension," the Demon King concluded with finality.
