Chapter 2848 - 905: Alliance with the Fallen Elves (Part 2)
It’s not that Zhou Tian holds these fallen elves in high regard, but based on their conditions, merely one tempting move is sufficient to enlist many living beings under their command.
It is imaginable that with the aid of those fallen elves, their role in the future expansion of the Abyss World may equate to that of the Angel Clan. Just considering this aspect alone, Zhou Tian could not possibly overlook them at the time.
And with such a great advantage, if Zhou Tian could choose his partners at the time, he would surely choose the fallen elves over the Burrow Spiders or Humans.
Consequently, upon calculating the gains and losses in his mind, Zhou Tian quickly determined that cooperating with those fallen elves would best serve his interests at this critical moment.
First, he directly eliminated those few Burrow Spiders. Though the Burrow Spider race is strong, Zhou Tian is not afraid of them. To prevent these Burrow Spiders from bringing many enemies upon Zhou Tian after returning, directly getting rid of them now is certainly a wise decision for him.
Zhou Tian is not a merciful person, so once he realized those few Burrow Spiders had little utilitarian value, he promptly disposed of them.
Anyway, Zhou Tian had already gained the information he wanted from the minds of those Burrow Spiders at the time, so since he had decided to contact those fallen elves, all he needed to do was head directly to the fallen elves’ base. Considering the characteristics of those fallen elves, once Zhou Tian demonstrated his strength, it wouldn’t be surprising if they sought an alliance, or at the very least, be willing to make contact with Zhou Tian.
As long as those fallen elves do not treat him as an enemy upon meeting, Zhou Tian would have little difficulty proving his ability in a short amount of time to ultimately form an alliance with them.
As expected, there were no surprises. Shortly after the idea formed in Zhou Tian’s mind, he swiftly headed in the direction of the known location of the fallen elves’ base after eliminating the Burrow Spiders.
Compared to the Burrow Spiders, the situation of the fallen elves is much worse. Originally, underground creatures and surface living beings occupied separate worlds underground and above. However, because the Burrow Spiders had unified the underground world and invaded the surface world, they not only occupied the entire underground world due to their formidable strength, but also captured much of the territory on the surface world.
Even now, the territory held by Burrow Spiders on the surface far exceeds that of humans and fallen elves. After all, the Burrow Spiders are the most powerful race at this moment, so it is only natural that they occupy more territory.
Previously, due to the extensive territory occupied by the Burrow Spiders, Zhou Tian had wandered for quite some time without encountering other living beings. And without knowing the route, he might have struggled even to find humans and fallen elves.
Regardless, Zhou Tian had learned the location of the fallen elves’ territory from the minds of those Burrow Spiders, so even if it was far, it wasn’t difficult for Zhou Tian, given his formidable strength and some time, to approach them despite the distance.
Indeed, no surprises arose when Zhou Tian decided to contact the fallen elves. He immediately set off towards the known location once the decision was made. Despite the distance when he left the Burrow Spiders’ territory, he quickly entered the fallen elves’ territory.
"Who are you?"
Though the fallen elves’ territory differs slightly from traditional elf territory, they are quite similar overall. At least, despite personality changes, fallen elves still habitually reside in the forest.
As a result, in this world, beyond the Burrow Spiders’ territory, most plains belong to humans while most forests belong to the fallen elves.
Because of their elf bloodline, although their strength may not match that of traditional elves, the fallen elves indeed demonstrate significant power in the forest. At least, when Zhou Tian entered their territory, the fallen elves immediately detected his footprints.
Though Zhou Tian did not deliberately hide his aura then, they discovered him quickly, indicating that the fallen elves have certain tactics. Upon discovering Zhou Tian, a large group swiftly surrounded him at the very first moment.
Fortunately, though the fallen elves found Zhou Tian an invader, given their nature, they considered dealing with him, but they did not attack him.
Thus, shortly after a fallen elf spotted Zhou Tian, a party of fallen elves surrounded him. Upon realizing Zhou Tian wasn’t a Burrow Spider, they relaxed and looked at him curiously.
Zhou Tian was originally human, then became a beastman upon arriving in this world. After a series of developments, he presently appears slightly different.
Though Zhou Tian has largely regained a human appearance, he is not of the Human Race. Due to certain limitations, he resembles humans by ninety-nine percent, but due to the influence of Abyssal Energy, there are traces of demonic features on him.
For instance, horns on his forehead, although he looks like a human, can easily be distinguished from humans upon closer inspection.
From Zhou Tian’s distinct appearance comes the reason why fallen elves surrounded him at first. If not for the peculiarities of this world, fallen elves might only inquire and likely not treat Zhou Tian this way instantly.
The reason is straightforward. Given the world’s situation, Zhou Tian and the fallen elves must cooperate to resist the Burrow Spiders. Therefore, with limited changes to their relationship, contact between fallen elves and humans should be significant.
In this situation, if a human enters their territory, fallen elves typically have little reaction. However, because Zhou Tian does not seem human, they feared possible dangerous actions from Zhou Tian; thus, the fallen elves decided to surround him.
Clearly, their actions were rather meaningless.
With Zhou Tian’s strength, had he intended to resist, no number of fallen elves surrounding him would matter. Their abilities are fundamentally in different leagues, so even if Zhou Tian wants to resist, nothing the fallen elves do could capture him. (To be continued.
