Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 747 - 746: The Man She Found
"Simon, Claire Sullivan hired someone to rape me back then, such a thing..."
June Kane spoke with righteous indignation.
Her recent actions against Serena Sullivan and Wyatt Sterling are all because of Claire Sullivan’s fault; she is seeking revenge.
"Back then, she didn’t hire anyone to rape you at all."
Simon Sterling’s voice turned cold, and those words made June Kane’s eyes widen in disbelief as she glared back at him.
"Simon, why are you still defending Claire Sullivan!"
"You’ve been bewitched by her!"
"She would never do such a thing!"
For the past twenty years, Simon has been investigating those events. Despite his efforts, one thing remains unresolved in his mind.
However, he has always believed Claire Sullivan.
"Simon, if it wasn’t her, then who was it?"
June Kane raised her voice in accusation, "It was the man she found; she was the one who arranged our meeting."
Back then, the evidence further confirmed the crimes committed by Claire Sullivan.
"I believe more..." Simon lowered his head, looking at June Kane with piercing cold eyes, "it was you!"
His words left June Kane’s expression transformed in shock, and she dropped to the floor.
"Simon, what nonsense are you talking about!"
"You’re framing me to clear her name!"
Simon smirked slightly, "It’s not framing!"
"If it wasn’t her, then you orchestrated everything yourself."
"June Kane, it’s time for you to pay for what you’ve done."
With that, Simon turned away to leave, but June Kane rushed forward, grabbing one of his legs.
"Simon, don’t go!"
"Don’t leave me to face this alone, I know I was wrong."
"It’s because of Claire Sullivan I became like this. I first loved you, loved you so deeply, and yet after only a short time in the Imperial Capital, she made you choose her over anyone else."
"Please don’t be so cruel to me... I’m begging you..."
June Kane pleaded as she cried.
Regardless of her begging, Simon Sterling was not going to give her a chance; he used his other leg to push June Kane away, then headed downstairs and left.
June Kane listened to Simon’s footsteps descending the stairs, trying to stand but her legs had no strength, and she could only crawl step by step to the door.
However, Simon would not turn back to glance at her, and the only ones she awaited were the police officers who would come in to take her away.
Her remaining years would be spent in prison.
June Kane sobbed uncontrollably, fearful of what her future held, which was more painful than death.
With her eyes closed, she recalled the events of more than twenty years ago.
Simon was right about one thing: that staged rape was not orchestrated by Claire Sullivan. She initially found a man and planned to lure Claire out, then...
Claire Sullivan didn’t show up; June received a message from the man and went alone to meet him, thinking it was because the plan had failed, only to be raped in the room by that man.
Then, when the police arrived, she immediately accused Claire Sullivan of arranging it.
Afterward, the case went remarkably smoothly; with the influence of their Ford Family, it was easy enough to put Claire Sullivan behind bars.
There were messages on Claire’s phone arranging the meeting, along with testimonies from friends; everything seemed to fall into place.
Realizing this, June Kane cried even harder.
Back then, it was Claire who arranged everything. She found out about June hiring that man; instead, Claire seemingly turned the tables, bribing the man to do something to her...
Simon stepped out of the house; the police officers had already arrived outside.
He handed them the video camera he brought out.
