Chapter 758: Chapter 757: She Already Knew

Ethan Grant devoted all his attention to the hospital bed when he was accompanying Serena Sullivan.

Prepared for Serena’s unconsciousness before the surgery, it wasn’t until he saw her lying there motionless that Ethan realized how terrifying it was!

This terror was like falling into a dark abyss, an abyss too dark and endless.

It’s not about panicking to the extent that if Serena doesn’t wake up, he’ll give up.

It’s the fear of losing Serena!

Finn Chandler knocked and came in, Ethan saw her and continued talking to Serena on the bed.

"Serena, Finn is here."

He gently reported to Serena about the daily occurrences, big or small, talking to her for a while.

"I’m here to check on Serena." Finn said, "And also..."

"What?"

"Serena isn’t foolish."

Ethan turned his head, puzzled, looking at Finn.

Finn smiled, yesterday she came by, Anna and The Sterling Family were here; she hadn’t mentioned it to Ethan.

Today, it was just the three of them.

"Before the surgery, Serena sent me a message."

"She said, you were all deceiving her!"

Ethan, holding Serena’s hand, was startled, looking blankly at Finn.

"You told her there was nothing risky about this surgery, that she’d be able to stand up afterwards."

"But, you didn’t tell her everything."

"After the surgery, there’s a significant chance of standing up, but she might become a coma patient and never wake up."

"She knew?"

Ethan looked at the sleeping Serena, his hand gripping hers tighter, "Serena, you knew all along, didn’t you?"

He recalled when Serena entered the operating room, she said he was too naive.

"Too naive," because she knew the likelihood of the surgery failing was high.

Because she knew he would continuously wait.

"Nothing is hidden from Serena, right?"

Finn smiled, no matter how well Ethan and The Sterling Family hid the surgery details, she still sensed something was amiss.

Not speaking, she didn’t want them to feel upset.

"She was prepared for the surgery’s failure."

Finn looked at Ethan and replied, "I’ve come to relay this to you on her behalf."

"Ethan Grant, if one day you can’t wait any longer, then don’t wait."

A person falls into a coma, not knowing when they’ll wake up, Serena knew her situation; from the onset, she only feared Ethan and The Sterling Family would one by one try to persuade her.

Persuade her, they were weary too! 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

She didn’t want that!

Hence, she let them push her into the operating room; as for not waking up, she didn’t blame anyone.

"Ethan, she wants you to live well."

Finn noticed Ethan’s eyes turned red.

They thought they had fooled her, but in fact, she was watching them act.

"What do you mean, wait or not wait?"

Ethan didn’t like hearing such things, "Serena and I are one."

"Moreover, I believe Serena will wake up."

Finn didn’t continue; she came only to deliver Serena’s words, the rest was up to Ethan.

Maybe Serena would wake up soon.

Finn didn’t stay long in the room, she walked to the door, watching Ethan still holding Serena’s hand, talking, feeling heavy-hearted and very upset.

Serena, oh Serena, please don’t sleep for too long.

So many people are waiting for you to return!

She thought to herself, tears rolling down her cheeks, and upon hearing voices from the end of the corridor, she hurriedly raised her hand to wipe away the tears.

Finn saw the approaching man and woman, surprised why these two were here?

Even odder, why were they together!
