Besides, the "girlfriend" Julian Ford mentioned was "Finn Chandler." These two people couldn’t possibly be together.

Pearl Chambers drawled in response as she heard the door of her private room open again. She watched Finn Chandler with a cold, sardonic smile and called to the approaching Mrs. Chambers, "Mom, come over here."

"Mr. Ford brought his girlfriend to dinner."

This remark made Julian Ford feel strange.

Finn Chandler followed Pearl Chambers’ words and saw Mrs. Chambers arrive. Mrs. Chambers’ smile faded the moment she saw her.

But when she reached Finn Chandler and Julian Ford, she put on a bright smile again.

"Mr. Ford, this is my mom," Pearl Chambers introduced Mrs. Chambers to Julian Ford, "She’s also Finn Chandler’s mom."

Julian Ford responded and said to Mrs. Chambers and Pearl Chambers, "Mrs. Chambers, Miss Chambers, we’re leaving now."

The two people in front of him, if not for one resembling Chloe somewhat or one being Finn Chandler’s biological mother, Julian Ford wouldn’t make such small talk.

"Where are you going?"

Mrs. Chambers’ temper flared up, and she didn’t listen to Pearl Chambers. Instead, she went up to grab Finn Chandler.

When Mrs. Chambers grabbed her, Finn Chandler coldly asked, "What do you think you’re doing!"

Mrs. Chambers almost called out "Finn."

Pearl Chambers quickly cut in, giving Mrs. Chambers a reason to grab Finn and hoping to tarnish Finn Chandler in Julian Ford’s eyes.

Unfortunately, Julian Ford wouldn’t abandon Chloe Finch just because of her identity.

No outsider could affect his feelings.

Only Chloe Finch herself could.

"I’ve heard Mrs. Chambers was also the other woman who rose to the top."

Julian Ford responded in a low voice. He had a good temperament, but that didn’t mean he had no temper at all.

He was a man who fiercely protected those he cared for.
