She didn’t know why she was threatening Julian Ford like this but knew she wanted to remain entangled with him.

"Tell everyone we’ve had an affair?"

Julian Ford’s voice turned icy as he mocked, "If word gets out, it will surely ruin Young Master Chambers and the Chambers Family!"

"Do you think such a threat is effective?"

Julian Ford scoffed, his gaze dropping to Finn Chandler’s belly beneath the suit, "Just a child, that’s all!"

Those simple words drained the color from Finn Chandler’s face.

Just a child! That’s all!

He wasn’t thrilled about the child’s arrival!

He didn’t intend to marry her and give the child a home!

"Mr. Ford, are you planning to start carelessly and abandon me?"

Finn Chandler stared closely at Julian Ford. Similarly, Julian Ford was looking at her.

Neither spoke, and the surroundings instantly became silent.

Finn Chandler thought she might leave or be taken by Julian Ford to the hospital to terminate her pregnancy.

If it came to that, there would be no future for her and Julian Ford.

"Let’s go!"

The cold voice broke the silence as Julian Ford turned and walked to the office door.

Finn Chandler stared at him leaving, listening to the sound of his footsteps gradually fade away.

When she couldn’t hear them anymore, Julian Ford’s voice came from outside the hallway, "You have five minutes to change in the car."

Finn Chandler turned her head to listen again as footsteps sounded in the hallway. Was Julian Ford agreeing?

She dared not overthink why he suddenly agreed and quickly followed him out.

Finn Chandler had brought women’s clothing in the car when she came.

She got in the car and quickly changed clothes, afraid Julian Ford would change his mind.

As she was changing, she frequently glanced out the window, seeing Julian Ford still waiting for her, and only then did her hanging heart slightly settle.
