Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 112: Fiona Vaughn, Did You Go to the Wrong Building?
Cecilia Vaughn hadn’t had the chance to ask Sean Grant what he wanted when she saw a graceful figure appear at the door.
She instantly frowned.
"Fiona Vaughn, this is the art department’s classroom. Did you go to the wrong building?"
A girl stood at the door wearing a water-red gown with bare shoulders, an enormous pair of sunglasses overlaying her pretty and delicate face, exuding an elegant aura.
Who else could it be if not Fiona Vaughn?
...
Cecilia’s tone was extremely sarcastic.
Most of the students at Stellerton University knew that although Fiona Vaughn was still in her senior year of the Broadcasting Department, she hadn’t completed all her courses. For the first three years, she frequently missed classes due to filming commitments and was rarely seen in the class.
Who knows what kind of spell she cast on the teachers, but they still named her an outstanding student.
In response to Cecilia’s obviously unwelcome tone, Fiona casually took off her sunglasses and gave Cecilia an innocent and pitiful look.
"Sister, I missed you. Can’t I come to the arts department to visit you?"
"Great acting skills, worthy of being the rising young star."
Upon hearing this, Cecilia only felt like vomiting. She truly admired Fiona for being able to act so deeply affectionate despite clearly disliking her.
The only consolation was that Fiona arrived relatively late, giving her enough time to finish cutting Katherine North’s chair.
...
Fiona wasn’t annoyed; she walked in from outside the classroom and, due to a blind spot, hadn’t noticed someone standing beside Cecilia.
Now seeing Sean Grant’s appearance, she couldn’t help but take more than a few admiring glances.
It’s said that the entertainment industry is full of handsome men and beautiful women. Among the newcomers this year, there are some exceptionally good-looking ones, yet none compared to the young man in front of her.
With vampire-like aristocratic pale skin, a high nose, thin lips, eyes as clear as glass yet exuding a rebellious gloom.
This enchanting appearance, combining a man’s charm and a youth’s handsomeness, seemed like a character from a two-dimensional anime, tugging at the heartstrings.
...
"Sister, who is this classmate?"
Though Fiona addressed Cecilia, her eyes full of emotion were fixed intently on Sean as her small tongue unconsciously licked her red lips, exuding a hint of flirtatiousness within her innocence.
She had always been "interested" in good-looking boys, but now, to maintain her loving image with Tyson Law, she had to restrain herself quite a bit.
...
If it were an ordinary person being stared at by such a beauty, they’d probably turn red from embarrassment.
Yet not an ounce of Sean Grant’s attention was given to Fiona, as if she were nonexistent.
Fiona couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger; how is it that all the men around Cecilia are so outstanding?
She’s a well-known big star, yet all the attention is directed at Cecilia!
Adrian Law goes without saying, and now this art department guy too!
...
Cecilia looked amusedly at Fiona, crossing her arms.
"You’re curious about Grant? Since when are you so interested in boys other than Tyson Law, looking to cheat?"
"But sorry, I’m not familiar with Grant either, so if you want to find out, you should probably ask him directly."
Upon hearing Cecilia’s words, Sean Grant gave her a cool glance.
His handsome brow slightly furrowed, seeming almost annoyed as he returned directly to his corner seat.
...
How can this brat speak so rudely!
Fiona’s expression turned awkward, but she quickly came up with a righteous reason.
"Our company is recruiting newcomers. I thought Grant had good qualities and wanted to get to know him, but it seems he’s not interested."
Cecilia smirked and lost interest in listening to Fiona’s nonsense.
Just as she was about to leave, Fiona hastily grabbed Cecilia’s sleeve, batting her big eyes with a soft and innocent demeanor.
"Sister, let’s not talk about him. I really came here because I need to discuss something with you."
Cecilia looked with disgust at Fiona’s hand grasping her sleeve, her fine brows furrowing deeper.
"Let go."
...
Fiona gave an awkward smile and finally let go, lifting her small, face—beautiful and fragile like a shy plant.
"Sister, why are you always so impatient with me?"
Cecilia had long been tired of Fiona’s act.
"Pretentious, who are you putting on this show for?"
Fiona’s eyes were teary. Hearing Cecilia’s scolding, her beautiful face turned slightly pale, and her eyes welled up with crystal-clear tears.
"Sister, you’re scolding me again. Don’t you know I specifically pushed back today’s lunch commitment to come to Stellerton University to see you? You didn’t tell me your address, so I had to come find you here."
"Our whole family misses you. The old site of the Radiant Group is moving, and Father has decided to hold a relocation celebration."
"A big happy occasion should be celebrated by the entire family. Little brother Evan couldn’t be invited because of his bad heart condition and college entrance exams, but you’re different, sister. Won’t you come?"
...
Upon hearing this, Cecilia narrowed her almond eyes.
So, Fiona dragged on and on, with all the tears and sleeve-pulling trying to invite her to some trap?
Of course she knew they’d dug a pit for her to fall into.
Cecilia felt a sense of mockery.
"The Radiant Group is rightfully my mother’s and grandfather’s business, yet you decided to relocate without informing me until now."
"Fiona, you think this counts as family? How can you even say that out loud?"
Hearing this, Fiona bit her red lip pitifully, almost about to break that poor lip corner.
"Sister, it’s okay if you misunderstand mom and me because we came later, but why would you disregard father’s sincerity?"
"Don’t you know, Dad’s worked so hard managing Radiant Group all these years, he’s aged a decade."
Cecilia’s eyes revealed a cold gleam. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"Simple, he can return my shares he’s expropriated, and I won’t need him to work so hard."
"..."
Seeing Cecilia unfazed, Fiona almost gritted her teeth to dust. She took a deep breath and revealed her trump card.
"Sister, you’re still young. Stop making grand statements; managing a company isn’t that simple."
"This time’s celebration, Mom and Dad thought it through and decided to give you some of the things that belonged to the first wife, like the pearl necklace Mom wore last time you came home..."
The moment had already been set with big gifts, waiting only for her to take the bait.
...
Cecilia was taken aback upon hearing this.
The first wife Fiona mentioned was Cecilia’s mother, Wendy Sutton...
Thinking of her mother who died in a sea accident...the girl’s eyes reddened...
"Fine, isn’t it just a relocation celebration? I’ll go!"
Having got the answer she wanted, Fiona left satisfied, swaying as she walked away.
Meanwhile, Cecilia tightly clenched her hands, just as a tall figure obscured the sunlight in front of her...
