Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 165: The Perfect Couple
Cecilia’s expression was indifferent, a polite smile thinly veiling a profound, bone-deep alienation, making her seem icily aloof.
Meanwhile, Florence Warner and Mabel Keaton were absolutely furious when they saw her turn on her heel and leave.
Cecilia’s attitude—the sheer audacity! She didn’t regard them, her elders, as anything at all!
Ever since Mabel Keaton married Chairman Law, Frank Law, she’d always been respected as Mrs. Law—how could she possibly anticipate being treated so dismissively?
She nearly ground her silver teeth to dust, and instantly allied herself with Florence Warner.
"Florence, just look at your eldest daughter—what kind of attitude is that? She could make you sick with anger!"
Thankfully, her own son was wise enough not to choose that tomboy, but fell for gentle, docile Fiona Vaughn instead.
Florence Warner forced a sycophantic grin at Mabel Keaton.
"Dear in-law, she’s not my daughter—you see how sweet and obedient Fiona is? Once she enters the Law Family’s doors, she’ll definitely treat you with the utmost respect."
Mabel Keaton reflected a moment; Fiona Vaughn came to see her now and then, always bringing her luxury-brand cosmetics and handbags—while Mabel hardly needed those things, Fiona truly was impeccable in her conduct.
So poised and generous—she really was the most suitable candidate for a daughter-in-law.
At this thought, Mabel immediately broke into a beaming smile, looping her arm through Florence Warner’s, and even her aversion to this market-woman born shrew faded.
"I spoke out of turn. I do like Fiona very much. The party’s about to begin formally—I just wonder if she’s done with her hair and makeup..."
Speaking of her daughter, a trace of pride shone in Florence Warner’s eyes.
"Don’t worry, dear in-law—Fiona will absolutely make a stunning appearance. She’d never bring shame to either the Law or Vaughn families!"
That fallen phoenix Cecilia Vaughn still wanted to outshine their Fiona? Ridiculous—she was dreaming!

Inside the Dynasty Hotel, all was bright as day—everywhere gilded and splendid, the usual luxury dressed up threefold tonight.
Champagne, balloons, and fresh flowers adorned every corner. A rich fragrance of roses suffused the entire hall.
All the guests were dressed in evening attire. Under the crystal chandeliers, the scene looked straight out of a TV drama.
The men, all in suits, occasionally sipping red wine from crystal glasses, looked especially dashing.
The women, meanwhile, had gone all out—slender, elegant silhouettes everywhere; so many beauties, it dazzled the eyes. Some in striking makeup, others refined and subtle—they all hoped to make a splash at this rare gathering.
After all, this was the engagement party for the Second Young Master Law!
Everyone present was someone of status and reputation.
The men cared about networking with bigwigs, perhaps even landing a lucrative investment or two. The women’s ambitions were grander still: secure a good marriage tonight, and their futures would be set.
...
In between mingling, the guests kept glancing up at the Dynasty Hotel’s second floor—for good reason.
The bride and groom had yet to make their entrance, making the anticipation both exciting and nerve-wracking.
And at that very moment, in a second-floor dressing room, Fiona Vaughn was still hastily perfecting her makeup.
She hadn’t expected to spend this long getting ready, but after seeing all the dazzling selfies guests posted on Chloe Alden’s phone, there was no way she could be outshone by another woman tonight!
Today was her engagement party. On such a stage, she was determined to surpass every other beauty, to stun everyone with her debut!
The makeup artist had been specially flown in by Tyson Law from Mirage Lane. They hadn’t managed to secure Chloris, the makeup legend, but this artist was still internationally acclaimed.
Fiona was confident enough—she would surely be the most beautiful woman in the room tonight.
Chloe Alden and Katherine North hovered around her constantly, her bridesmaids for the evening, lavishing her with endless praise.
"Miss Fiona, you look absolutely breathtaking tonight. The veil—so exquisite! In that gown, you’re like a goddess straight out of a painting."
Katherine’s admiration was sincere. Coming from an ordinary background, she knew the opulent styling and artistry embody immense wealth.
Seeing Katherine’s envious gaze made Fiona even more pleased with herself, though her face maintained a faux-shy, demure look, her rosy lips parting delicately.
"It’s all thanks to Tyson—he arranged everything. Don’t worry, Katherine, you’ll find someone who treats you well too."
"How could I compare to you, Miss Fiona? Senior Law adores you so. All I can do is envy you endlessly."
Chloe Alden chipped in with a teasing jab,
"Good thing you know your place! Tyson is a dragon among men, Fiona’s the phoenix among women, while you, Katherine, are just a little sparrow. There’s no chance you’ll ever find a guy like that."
Katherine dared not show her annoyance—she could only muster an awkward smile.
It was up to Fiona to smooth things over, wary of Chloe’s big mouth ruining her big day.
"Chloe, it’s my engagement party—be a little nicer today, won’t you?"
Chloe just shrugged—she’d never been good at holding back. Smiling slyly, she helped adjust the veil atop Fiona’s hair.
"Alright, alright. Today, Fiona’s the star! Honestly, you look divine—if I were a man, I’d want to steal you away."
Fiona’s lips twitched into a smile—Chloe’s teasing having genuinely amused her.
"Don’t make fun of me, Chloe. Do I really look that good?"
As Fiona spoke, she stood up gracefully from her stool, planning to check her reflection in the mirror one last time, when suddenly a crisp whistle echoed in her ears.
"Wow, where did this stunning beauty come from?"
A deep, magnetic voice drifted over, and Fiona’s eyes sparkled. She turned, flashing Tyson Law a brilliantly shy smile.
Like a rose blooming in the breeze—pure, luminous, breathtaking enough to melt any heart.
And Tyson had never seen Fiona so dressed up!
He saw her every day, had grown so used to her, yet tonight, she took his breath away!
No wonder Tyson had brought in an international stylist from Mirage Lane!
The pure white wedding gown not only perfectly outlined Fiona’s figure, but also highlighted her charming, delicate spirit!
Tyson offered Fiona his left hand, gentlemanly.
"Fiona, if you’re ready, shall we go greet the guests?"
"Alright."
Fiona melted into Tyson’s arms, soft as a willow; the adoring look in her eyes made his masculine pride swell even more.
Today, there wasn’t a single female guest who could compare to a single finger of his Fiona!
And the men would all envy him for marrying such a peerless beauty!
...
At exactly seven o’clock, the anticipation in the room had reached its peak.
Just then, an elegantly paired couple appeared, arm-in-arm, in the corridor above the second floor.
In an instant, cries of astonishment erupted all around!
"Oh my god—Miss Fiona looks unbelievable tonight! And the Second Young Master Law is so handsome! They’re like the golden couple out of a fairytale!"
"Truly a match made in heaven! They’re even more perfect together than the leads in a TV drama!"
