Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 513: My Man Is Really Conservative
After Phoebe King made the call, Stephen Sutton drove over in just a few minutes.
Phoebe King was in the fitting room changing clothes, and Audrey Sutton went outside to greet Stephen Sutton.
"Big brother, did you agree to get married on National Day?" š»ššš¦šøšš·šā“š£š¦š.šøā“š®
Walking into the shop, Stephen Sutton said while following Audrey Sutton, "Since the second brother wants to do it, we might as well have it together. Itāll save us some trouble."
Audrey Sutton knew that Stephen Sutton was only saying this for convenience, but deep down, he cared a lot about the wedding.
"Big brother, donāt let Sister Phoebe hear that or sheāll think youāre just trying to make things convenient and that you donāt really care about the wedding."
Stephen Sutton nodded perfunctorily and looked around as he entered the shop, "Where is she?"
Audrey Sutton pointed inside, and coincidentally, the fitting room door opened.
The staff walked out first, then guided Phoebe King out while another staff member followed, helping with the long train of the wedding dress.
Phoebe King hadnāt noticed Stephen Sutton yet and was looking down at the neckline of her wedding dress, "This neckline seems a bit low, my guy is very conservative and might not let me wear something like this."
The staff hadnāt had a chance to compliment her yet when Stephen Suttonās voice sounded from behind, "It looks great."
Hearing his voice, Phoebe King turned around with a smile on her face, "You came so quickly?"
Stephen Sutton walked over to stand behind Phoebe King, looking at her in the mirror.
He had imagined a scene where a woman dresses in white for him, but he hadnāt expected to feel such a surge of emotions inside.
He felt a lot but didnāt show it, only reached out to smooth Phoebe Kingās hair a bit and asked, "Are we really having the wedding with the second brother?"
Phoebe King looked at Stephen Suttonās expression and felt like he was genuinely asking for her opinion, waiting for her decision, so she said, "I think... we should do it together, itāll be less hassle."
Audrey Sutton couldnāt help but sigh, indeed, family members think alike.
Phoebe King: "I just talked with Laura about this too, she agreed that doing it together would be more lively."
Stephen Sutton: "Then letās do it together, Iāll make a call to inform them later."
Phoebe King was surprised by how readily Stephen Sutton agreed and happily said, "Iāve tried a few sets just now, Audrey took some photos, you can check which one suits me best."
Stephen Sutton nodded, "Alright, Iāll take a look after I make the call."
Laura Yates came out of the fitting room and heard Phoebe King and Stephen Suttonās conversation, so she said, "Why donāt we just pick matching bridesmaid dresses?"
Upon hearing this, the shop assistant immediately suggested, "We just got several new styles of bridesmaid dresses yesterday, should I bring them out for you to see?"
Laura Yates: "Sure, please let us take a look."
After trying on a few sets, both of them were pretty worn out and sat down on the sofa. Audrey Sutton said, "If Iād known, I wouldāve joined you two in getting married."
Phoebe King quickly joked, "Have another wedding then, weāll pick a set later."
Audrey Sutton quickly waved her hand, "No way, weddings are exhausting, not going to overdo it."
Laura Yates smiled and nodded, "Exactly, Audrey, you should take good care of yourself now. Rest well during your pregnancy, itās good for both you and the baby."
Audrey Sutton: "Mm, Iām too lazy to move around these days. Iām just thinking you two should hurry up too, so our kids can have companions."
Phoebe King and Laura Yates exchanged a glance, then Phoebe King leaned closer and asked softly, "Whatās your usual frequency? How many times a week?"
Audrey Sutton and Laura Yates blushed simultaneously, and just then Stephen Sutton returned after making the call, preventing this embarrassing topic from continuing.
Before long, Franklin Sutton also arrived, saying he was handling some matters nearby, wearing his police uniform. He didnāt stay in the store for more than a few minutes before leaving.
But this was enough to satisfy Laura Yates, and she said to Audrey Sutton, "In the past, he wouldnāt spare even a few minutes to see me, preferring to stand by the roadside and have a smoke."
Audrey Sutton: "My second brotherās mind doesnāt work in circles. If you have any dissatisfaction, you should tell him directly, heāll change. If you leave him to reflect on his own, he might never figure out where heās wrong."
Laura Yates nodded in agreement, "Iāve figured that out too, so now I just tell him whatās wrong right away. In the past, heād forget right after I said something, but now heās starting to remember."
They went to the bridal shop in the morning, and it wasnāt until after four in the afternoon that they finally finished.
In the evening, Hazel Yates invited everyone back home for dinner to discuss the wedding further.
Shane was still at work, so Audrey Sutton took a ride home with Stephen Sutton.
As soon as they arrived home, the General excitedly wagged its tail and rushed to Audrey Sutton, clearly having missed them.
Meanwhile, Pea was the same as always, lazily lounging on the cat tree, showing no interest in anyone with a haughty demeanor.
The other brothers hadnāt returned yet, only Norman Sutton, just like before, sitting in the living room playing games.
Audrey Sutton approached and reached for the VR goggles on Norman Suttonās face, "I want to play too."
This time, Norman Sutton was quite generous, handing the controller to Audrey Sutton, though he teased, "Clumsy as you are, you still want to play everything."
Audrey Sutton: "Sister Phoebe, come over and letās play a two-player game."
Phoebe King remembered Stephen Suttonās suggestion last time, saying she should spar with Norman Sutton, so she went over and mentioned it to him.
Norman Sutton looked at Phoebe King with disdain, "You? Challenging me one-on-one?"
Phoebe King smiled, "Donāt take it so seriously, just playing around."
Norman Sutton wanted to show off his skills and smiled smugly, "Alright, I have a console in my room, follow me."
Audrey Sutton watched Phoebe King being led away by Norman Sutton, rolled her eyes at him, and quickly called for Laura Yates, "Sister-in-law, letās play."
Laura Yates awkwardly chuckled, "Iām a total noob, playing with me wonāt be any fun."
Audrey Sutton: "Itās okay, weāre just messing around, I donāt know how to play either."
...
Stephen Sutton chatted briefly with Hazel Yates in the kitchen before heading upstairs to find Phoebe King, curious about her gaming skills, wanting to get to know her more.
As a teacher, he knew online gaming was a major temptation for students. He used to think gaming wasnāt a good habit, but after Six pursued e-sports, he gradually came to understand the industry and was less resistant. Besides, if Phoebe King could enter this field, it would be better than collecting debts for others, at least itās considered a proper job.
