My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 460: Has That Woman Finally Settled Down?
As soon as he turned around the corridor with large strides, he saw a figure standing there waiting.
"Noah..." Upon seeing him return, the woman’s face lit up with joy.
Seeing the woman at the door, Noah Drexler furrowed his brow, his cold eyes showing undisguised disgust.
"Noah, I know you came back late, so I specially prepared a night snack for you," the woman paused for a moment, then said gently, her hands still holding a portion of the night snack.
"It’s not necessary." Noah Drexler said coldly, "I told you, don’t come to the door of my room."
As his voice fell, the woman’s face turned pale again.
Noah Drexler no longer looked at her, and Sean Morgan hurriedly stepped forward to help him open the door.
Just as he was about to enter, the tears of the woman at the door finally fell uncontrollably.
"Noah, why... that woman is already dead, why can’t you accept me?"
She looked at the man, her gentle and beautiful face full of resentment and grievance.
"Everything she could do for you, I can do too! But the things I am willing to do, she might not have done for you!"
That woman is dead, yet he still doesn’t want to let her get close, why is that?
"Noah, you can’t treat me like this, I am your future wife!" the woman cried as she said this to him, hoping her tears might at least earn a bit of his compassion, even if just a little.
The annoying sound of her voice made Noah Drexler’s expression darken, and his handsome face immediately showed more impatience and displeasure.
He finally turned his head, but his gaze was cold as he glanced at the woman, then said viciously,
"You’re very annoying!"
The tears and cries of Summer Shawcross made him experience some chemical reaction in his heart, numbing him, and thus... unconsciously crossing his boundaries.
But the woman in front of him, every tear and cry, made him feel intense disgust, even a physical aversion!
As the man’s voice dropped, the woman’s expression froze, and she subconsciously stepped back.
"Noah..."
But what followed was the sound of the door being firmly closed.
"..."
...
Inside the bedroom, Noah Drexler walked briskly to the sofa, sat down, and wearily reached up to rub his temples.
Sean Morgan stood at the door until the footsteps outside faded away, then slowly walked over.
Noah Drexler leaned against the sofa, closed his eyes to rest, and waited for Sean Morgan to speak.
But what came was a long silence...
"Hmm?" The man furrowed his brow slightly, suddenly opened his eyes, and glanced at Sean Morgan beside him.
"Nothing happened today?" His gaze deepened as he pursed his lips and asked.
Did that woman finally settle down?
When asked, Sean Morgan’s expression paused for two seconds before continuing to speak.
"There was a little situation."
Sherry usually contacted him directly, informing him of what happened during the day, and when the boss returned in the evening, he would then tell him in detail.
"Speak." Noah Drexler leaned against the sofa, moved his lips, and commanded.
Seeing Noah Drexler speak, Sean Morgan nodded and then continued.
"After what happened last night... Mrs. Shawcross finally went to rest in Sherry’s room, Sherry said she was in a good mood today."
