My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 1749 - 1748: The Qian Family’s Venue
"Damn it, reinforcements, I called for them."
Tang Ming let out a long sigh of relief, then immediately had the table moved and led everyone out.
He saw Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou coming from both sides of the corridor, taking down countless men in black along the way, while Hua Yingjie stood off to the side holding Old Goat.
"Wow, how did you end up like this?"
Looking at the bruised and bloodied Tang Ming, Meng Xianjun and the others were stunned.
"Don’t mention it, almost lost it in the gutter, almost got killed by some punk."
Tang Ming sat heavily on the ground, checking his injuries while complaining.
"That’s insane. If people knew you got messed up like this by these clowns, they’d laugh their heads off!"
Shao Wuyou leaned in close to Tang Ming, poking at the wound on his head.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch."
Tang Ming yelled through gritted teeth.
"Thanks for arriving in time, you guys... you’re amazing fighters."
Looking at the wounded all over the ground, Zhu Chenglong and the others quickly expressed their gratitude.
"No problem, we’re all friends of Tang Ming... Who’s this young lady?"
Meng Xianjun asked curiously, eyeing Zhou Xiaoqian snuggled up to Tang Ming.
"I, I’m Zhou Xiaoqian, I’m Tang Ming’s girl."
Zhou Xiaoqian replied, with a flushed face, leaning against Tang Ming’s chest.
"Wow!"
Meng Xianjun and the others chuckled mischievously.
"I always said Medical University was great, Tang Ming’s only been there a day and he’s already got a girlfriend, and such a gorgeous one, I’m jealous."
Shao Wuyou said, eyebrows dancing as he stared at Tang Ming.
"I might try transferring over too."
Meng Xianjun looked at Tang Ming with envy.
"Cough, cough! Tang Ming, if there’s someone suitable, you should consider introducing me to them."
Even Hua Yingjie, the most serious one, couldn’t help but get caught up in the moment.
"Knock it off! Does anyone have any serious business?"
Tang Ming shot a fierce glance and turned to Old Goat: "You punk, under the Emperor’s nose, in broad daylight, you dare force good people into prostitution and commit assault, you’re bold, huh."
"You, you all better not get too full of yourselves, I’ve got connections, you won’t get away with this."
Old Goat shouted, pale-faced, cautiously eyeing the newcomers. Even an idiot could tell these were masters, he just hadn’t expected them to help Medical University students.
"Still think you’re tough."
Tang Ming grabbed the bat off the floor and swung it at the man’s head, furious that such a punk almost finished him off.
"Ah! I’m one of Qian’s people, you’re in big trouble now."
Old Goat screamed, teeth gritted, shouting desperately.
"Qian’s people? Do any of you know them?"
Tang Ming asked curiously to those around him.
"Nope."
The group quickly shook their heads, never having heard of Qian’s people.
"Why bother talking, just break his legs and hand him to the police."
Shao Wuyou was done with talking, stepped up to Old Goat and with a swift kick, broke his legs.
"Where are the police now? Why aren’t they here yet, I really need to go to the hospital for treatment, it’s killing me."
Tang Ming rubbed his head, shouting frustratedly.
"Aren’t you the Divine Doctor? Do you really need to go to the hospital?"
Meng Xianjun looked at Tang Ming, speechless.
"Doctors can’t heal themselves, my cultivation’s sealed, I can’t use energy to heal, I have to go to the hospital."
Tang Ming sighed helplessly.
"I’ll do it."
Hua Yingjie smiled, quickly stepping up to help treat Tang Ming and the others’ wounds.
In the lobby on the first floor, police had arrived but couldn’t get into the KTV.
"Qian Bugong, move aside, I received a report about illegal activities here, we must go in and check."
Lin Xue angrily shouted at a portly, bespectacled young man blocking the entrance.
"Heh, Officer Lin, it’s not that I’m disrespecting you, but if you want to search my venue, you’ll need a warrant."
Qian Bugong grinned, rubbing his belly: "And I can assure you, my venue is operated legally, nothing illicit is going on."
"Whether it’s illegal, I’ll know once I search."
Lin Xue frowned, staring coldly at Qian Bugong.
"Then I’m afraid you’ll need to provide a warrant, or else I can’t let you in."
Qian Bugong shrugged, feigning helplessness.
"Don’t think just because you’re with the Qian Family, you can act recklessly."
Lin Xue shouted through gritted teeth.
"Miss Lin, shouldn’t I be the one saying that? Don’t think just because you’re with the Lin Family you can abuse power."
Qian Bugong’s face turned cold: "Let me tell you, without a warrant today, even if your big brother Lin Canghai shows up, he’s not getting in here."
"You..."
Lin Xue was furious, turned to her colleague: "Is the warrant approved yet?"
"Director Lin, you’re the director. You didn’t mention needing a warrant when we came, the papers and seal are back at the office."
A subordinate quickly reported.
"Then hurry back and get it, today I must see what’s going on in here."
Lin Xue yelled furiously.
"Umm... We received calls from some drunken students and don’t know what’s really happening, seems we’re unable to issue a warrant."
"Wow, Officer Lin abusing her power, issuing a warrant without proper grounds, what an authority!"
Qian Bugong sneered mockingly.
"Don’t get cocky, if I catch evidence of illegal activity here, even the Qian Family won’t protect you."
Lin Xue coldly glared at Qian Bugong, unwillingly looking inside the KTV.
This was a Qian Family venue, specifically Qian Bugong, son of the Qian Family head’s business. Though Qian Bugong wasn’t great at martial arts, his business acumen was sharp, overseeing many ventures, this being one of them now.
As one of the Nine Families, Lin Xue had no leverage over venues under Qian Bugong’s protection.
"Police, why are you so ineffective, why haven’t you come in to arrest someone?"
Just then, a group of people emerged, led by a bruised and bloodied individual whose head was wrapped in a woman’s underwear.
"Tang Ming?"
Lin Xue’s eyes widened in disbelief seeing Tang Ming here and injured.
"Don’t let them out."
Seeing Old Goat being dragged along, Qian Bugong’s face changed and he quickly ordered to control Tang Ming and the others.
"Get lost!"
Shao Wuyou snorted dismissively, waving an arm and sent the two guards flying.
"Hehehehe."
Seeing this, Lin Xue couldn’t help but laugh, stepping back with her team, thinking that Qian Bugong really messed with Tang Ming, which was suicidal!
