My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 1866 - 1862: You Know About the Dust Gu?
"I... I don’t believe it, you really think you’re that impressive? I’ve already developed anti-poison drugs, I don’t need your poison."
Bai Shengqi cursed in a flushed fury and stormed off.
The supporters of Bai Shengqi stood awkwardly, looking at Tang Ming.
"There’s no need to look, since you believe that the young master of the Medical Immortal Workshop can lead you to the light, then stop thinking about my antidote."
Tang Ming sneered, "Even if I had to feed my stuff to dogs, I wouldn’t give it to lackeys."
"You’re going too far."
A few people grumbled angrily, following Bai Shengqi.
"A bunch of idiots."
Tang Ming yawned lazily, "The antidote is nearly done, I need to find a place to sleep. Old Hua, take care of yourself."
"Alright, I’ll continue my research to see if I can find anything in our sect’s medical books."
Hua Yingjie nodded, then started working busily.
Tang Xinhai placed the antidote Tang Ming had made on the testing bench and began studying it diligently. Comparing it to the toxic samples, he was shocked to discover the antidote was genuine.
"How is this possible? With my medical skills, I couldn’t make an antidote. How did that kid accomplish it?"
Tang Xinhai stared incredulously at the antidote in the test tube, glancing in confusion at Tang Ming, who was lying on a chair asleep.
"I must see how you concocted this."
With sharp eyes, Tang Xinhai began breaking down Tang Ming’s antidote to analyze its ingredients.
Tang Xinhai quickly decomposed the components, finally discovering a non-pharmaceutical substance with a powerful detoxification ability.
"Dust Gu."
Tang Xinhai was shocked as he observed through the microscope the minute detoxifying substance, "Impossible! How can this be? Dust Gu is a top-secret poisonous insect toxin of the Hidden Sect’s Ancient Tang Sect, even only elite disciples from the direct lineage have the right to cultivate it. How did this kid manage to cultivate it?"
Even in his dreams, Tang Ming hadn’t fathomed that besides Tang Cha, someone could recognize the Dust Gu from a drop of his blood integrated into the antidote.
"Could he be from the Ancient Tang Sect?"
Tang Xinhai’s expression turned sour, casting a hostile gaze toward Tang Ming, approaching him.
After eating and drinking his fill, Tang Ming laid on a sofa and fell asleep. But as he was sleeping soundly, he sensed someone approaching with ill intent and quickly sat up.
"Tang Xinhai? What do you want?"
Tang Ming asked, puzzled, looking at Tang Xinhai standing before him.
"Tang Ming! Who is your master?"
Tang Xinhai squinted his eyes, asking directly.
"Huh?"
Tang Ming was slightly taken aback, looking at Tang Xinhai bewildered, "Why do you ask that?"
"Are you perhaps..."
Tang Xinhai hesitated, calmed for a moment, then stared intently at Tang Ming, "Have you heard of Tang Haixin?"
"Who’s Tang Haixin? I’ve never heard of him."
Tang Ming shook his head, "What exactly do you want, can you just say it?"
"You truly have never heard of Tang Haixin?"
Tang Xinhai asked, unwilling to let it go.
"Come on, man, are you ill? I said I don’t know, which means I don’t know. Who is that?"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes in exasperation.
Tang Xinhai’s expression grew complex, feeling relieved yet puzzled and regretful. If Tang Ming were a disciple of the Ancient Tang Sect, it would be impossible not to know the name Tang Haixin.
Now that Tang Ming claimed not to know Tang Haixin, it meant he wasn’t a disciple of the Ancient Tang Sect, disproving some of Tang Xinhai’s assumptions.
"Who is your master? Perhaps I have some connection with him."
Tang Xinhai sat beside Tang Ming, smiling.
"I have two masters. Which one are you asking about?"
Tang Ming replied nonchalantly.
"Of course... the one who cultivated Dust Gu in your body."
"Hmm?"
Upon hearing this, Tang Ming became alert, staring at Tang Xinhai with disbelief.
The two locked eyes, holding each other’s gaze for several seconds.
"Haha, what are you talking about? I don’t understand."
Tang Ming snapped back, laughing immediately.
"Don’t pretend. Others might not see the mysterious aspect of your antidote, but I can see very clearly that the main detoxifying ingredient is the Dust Gu that can devour all poisons."
Seeing Tang Ming feign ignorance, Tang Xinhai found it somewhat amusing.
"Who... who are you?"
Tang Ming’s face turned serious, scrutinizing Tang Xinhai for the first time.
"You first tell me, who is your master? Where did you learn your skills?"
Tang Xinhai evaded the question with another question.
"My master’s name is Tang Cha, and I grew up in a village in the mountains."
Tang Ming replied vaguely.
"Tang Cha? Who’s Tang Cha?"
Tang Xinhai was baffled, racking his brain but finding no match.
"Tang Cha is my master. My master is called Tang Cha. Didn’t you say you might have a connection with him? How do you not even know his name?"
Tang Ming looked at Tang Xinhai in confusion.
"I really don’t know anyone named Tang Cha."
Tang Xinhai furrowed his brows, "This must be an alias. What’s his real name?"
"How would I know my master’s real name? I wish I knew."
Tang Ming sneered, curiously inspecting Tang Xinhai, "Who are you really? How do you know about Dust Gu? Judging from your age, could you be my master’s illegitimate child?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"To hell with you, I could be..."
Tang Xinhai cursed impatiently, swallowing his words halfway, "Apart from teaching you Dust Gu, has your master taught you anything else?"
"There’s a lot! Most of what I know now is taught by my master."
"That’s like saying nothing."
Tang Xinhai’s mouth twitched, lowering his voice, "Do you know the Thousand Evil Poison Technique?"
"Kill who? What technique?"
Tang Ming feigned ignorance, but inside a storm was raging.
The Thousand Evil Poison Technique was a cultivation technique Tang Ming had been hiding, and also one Tang Cha repeatedly warned him never to use in front of outsiders.
The fact that Tang Xinhai not only knew about Dust Gu but also the Thousand Evil Poison Technique, could it really have something to do with Tang Cha?
Despite his doubts, Tang Ming dared not reveal anything.
"Forget it, pretend I didn’t ask."
Seeing Tang Ming’s reaction, Tang Xinhai felt a wave of disappointment.
"Brother, who are you exactly? How do you know about Dust Gu?"
Now it was Tang Ming’s turn to become curious about Tang Xinhai.
"I am Tang Xinhai!"
Tang Xinhai smiled calmly, dropping a bead of blood onto the table in front of Tang Ming, then stood up and left.
"Hey, clarify things! You interrupted my sleep, and now you leave without explanation? That’s too much."
Tang Ming immediately became furious, annoyed by people who left things hanging, keeping him in suspense.
