My Computer Leads to an Instance Dungeon
Chapter 380 - 247: What Right Does a Defeated Foe Have to Bargain with Me?
Fang Zhen was quite surprised by her answer.
’Demons, devils?’
Balenzuo had clearly mentioned two different races.
Then again, it made sense. Succubi were known to have ties to both demons and devils.
He looked at Balenzuo and asked, "Are you a demon or a devil? How did you get to this world?"
"I’m a Succubus. It’s just... my bloodline is a bit complicated. My mother was a Succubus, but my father was some powerful demon. I don’t know who he was, and neither does my mother."
Balenzuo replied.
’Well now, a half-breed,’ Fang Zhen thought.
’The Succubi certainly had a reputation. An unknown father was a common situation for them. He supposed it made sense, given that the race seemed to have no reproductive barriers to speak of.’
Balenzuo continued to answer Fang Zhen’s questions.
Now that he knew her true name, Balenzuo was incapable of lying and could only speak the truth.
Balenzuo said, "I was swept into this world by a Spirit Realm vortex under special circumstances."
"The world I came from is fundamentally far more powerful than this one. There, I couldn’t obtain the power and status I craved. But by accident—or perhaps good fortune—I ended up here."
"This world is much weaker than my own. And here, a soul’s value isn’t tied to the material strength of its owner. I wanted to establish my own Kingdom, become the ruler of this world, harvest souls, and then trade them to get what I truly desire."
Fang Zhen was surprised by her answer, but at the same time, not entirely.
When Balenzuo emerged from that black vortex in her demonic form, Fang Zhen had a hunch she wasn’t from this world.
This just confirmed his suspicion.
He also gleaned some new information.
From what Balenzuo was saying, it seemed the Nameless World was connected to other planes of existence. Under certain strange circumstances, beings from higher-level worlds could find their way here.
’That makes a lot more sense,’ he thought.
Under normal circumstances, the Nameless World didn’t seem capable of producing a creature as powerful as a demon.
Fang Zhen pressed on, "What was that black vortex from before? And how do you have two bodies? What method do you use to swap your soul between them?"
Balenzuo gave up resisting. "The black vortex is the manifestation of a separate space opening. It’s a subspace. In my world, obtaining such a thing isn’t easy, but it wasn’t beyond my abilities."
"As long as you know the spatial coordinates, you can use various methods to anchor it and make it your own private domain."
"It’s not particularly large inside, but it’s very useful."
Balenzuo explained.
"As for my two bodies, that’s an innate talent of mine."
"I was born with a special talent for transferring my soul. As long as the target body isn’t too dissimilar to my own and its Spirit has been wiped, leaving a pure vessel of flesh, I can transfer into it. Of course, the process takes a heavy toll."
"This body I’m in now is my true one. The one that was destroyed was the body of a male Nightmare Demon."
"I used the Nightmare Demon’s body as a disguise."
After a pause, Balenzuo continued:
"The rules and the very nature of this world don’t permit the existence of matter that exceeds its limits. If my true body remains here for too long, it will begin to degrade and weaken."
"That’s why I hid my real body and used the Nightmare Demon’s body to forge an identity here."
Fang Zhen found this fascinating.
’So this is this world’s way of balancing the scales? Chipping away at whatever is too powerful?’
At the same time, he latched onto a key detail.
"You said you have a subspace? To be clear, is it possible for me to take control of it?"
Balenzuo was silent. Her expression showed she was once again trying to fight the power of the compulsion, but her strength was still no match for it.
"Yes, you can take control of it. Basically, anyone who can use Magic can master it, but your Spiritual Power must reach a certain threshold to perceive the subspace’s coordinates."
Balenzuo spoke the words, though she clearly didn’t want to.
"Alright. Now, give me the coordinates to the subspace using the safest method you know," Fang Zhen commanded.
Balenzuo’s lips remained sealed, but a moment later, Fang Zhen felt a strange sensation within his Spirit.
It wasn’t a thought, but a tangible perception within his consciousness—the sudden appearance of a tiny, white point of light. As Fang Zhen focused on it, the point expanded. Observing it closely with his mind’s eye, he realized it was shaped almost like a perfect cube.
Balenzuo’s expression was incredibly foul. "Those are the coordinates to the subspace," she said, completely dejected.
"Of course, it will take you a very long time to gain full ownership of the subspace. You’ll have to use your Spiritual Power to slowly perceive it in its entirety."
Fang Zhen considered her words for a moment, then suddenly broke into a smile.
"You left out one condition, didn’t you?"
"The subspace won’t truly have a new master until the original one dies, isn’t that right?"
At Fang Zhen’s words, Balenzuo’s expression grew even more foul.
"You said that as long as I told you my true name, you wouldn’t kill me!"
"You’re going back on your word!"
