Chapter 230: Chapter 229: Kick Them All Down

After Li Huan tumbled down the stairs, an enraged roar came from below. "You bastard, how dare you bump into me!"

Li Huan stormed back up the stairs, fuming. The lackeys beside him glared at Yi Tianyun. "Kid, you dare bump into me? Do you have any idea who I am?!"

"Not really. All I know is that you just bumped into me," Yi Tianyun said calmly.

"Damn it, you’re courting death!" Li Huan swiped with his palm. The fierce wind from his strike cut through the air like a blade. With his third-level Core Formation Stage cultivation, an ordinary Cultivator would have been severely injured by this attack.

A cold glint flashed in Yi Tianyun’s eyes. He lifted his foot and kicked. THUD! Li Huan was sent flying again, crashing into his companions and sending them all tumbling down the stairs once more.

The commotion caused many of the inn’s guests to turn and look. Some even stepped out of their rooms to see what was going on, wondering about the source of the noise.

"Mansion Master?" the Great Elder’s voice came from behind him. Mu Xian’Er had come out as well.

Having heard the racket, they had opened their door to investigate, only to find their Mansion Master standing right outside.

"What happened?" The Great Elder walked out, followed by Mu Xian’Er and two other stewards. They hadn’t brought many people with them; Steward Qian had been left behind at the Celestial Extreme Mansion to look after the previous Mansion Master.

"It’s nothing. Just a few small fries making trouble," Yi Tianyun said nonchalantly.

"I’ll kill you!" Li Huan shrieked. The sound of him scrambling to his feet was followed by a weak, deferential voice. "Young... Young Master..."

Someone then ascended the stairs. It was a dapper young man, fanning himself gently. He was handsome and carried an air of refinement, clearly a disciple from a major power. His aura alone set him far above the average person.

Li Huan followed respectfully behind the young man. When he glanced up at Yi Tianyun, rage boiled within him, and he wished he could crush him to death. However, he could only clutch his stomach as he shuffled forward in a half-crouch. Yi Tianyun’s kick hadn’t been overwhelmingly powerful, but it wasn’t light either—it had broken at least a few of his ribs.

"You’re from the Celestial Extreme Mansion?" Lin Feng sized them up coldly.

"Is there a problem?" Yi Tianyun replied indifferently.

"No problem. I’m just surprised a trash sect dares to be so arrogant in this place, even going so far as to injure my man! You should consider the master before you beat the dog. Don’t you understand that saying?" Lin Feng stared at them coldly and said, "Li Huan, who was it that hit you?"

"It... it was him!" Li Huan said, pointing at Yi Tianyun.

"Hmph. Cripple one of your own hands, then get the hell out of my sight. If you do, I won’t pursue this matter with your Celestial Extreme Mansion... Oh, wait, I mean the Celestial Extreme *Sect*!" Lin Feng said coldly.

He had deliberately emphasized "Celestial Extreme Sect," clearly mocking the Celestial Extreme Mansion’s complete decline. It had fallen to a second-grade faction, and not even a top-tier one at that. In the eyes of a third-grade faction, a second-grade faction was no different from trash, to be crushed at will.

"You won’t pursue this matter with our Celestial Extreme Mansion?" The Great Elder stepped forward, his voice deep. "Such arrogance. I doubt one of our own would have made a move if your man hadn’t started it."

He didn’t refer to Yi Tianyun as the Mansion Master, deciding to keep it a secret for the time being. ’After all,’ he thought, ’revealing we have such a young Mansion Master would be far too conspicuous.’

"I’ll say this one last time: cripple one of your hands. Otherwise, it won’t be as simple as just losing a hand." Lin Feng’s cultivation wasn’t particularly high—only the fifth level of the Core Formation Stage. However, the guard beside him was the strongest, possessing a sixth-level Spirit Pill Stage cultivation, a notch higher than the Great Elder of the Celestial Extreme Mansion.

The Great Elder frowned. ’These people are completely unreasonable,’ he thought. He knew Yi Tianyun would never attack without provocation; the other party must have been at fault.

To a major sect, reasoning was bullshit. They *were* the reason!

Yi Tianyun’s gaze turned cold. "Then let me say this one last time, too. Either get out of my sight, or I’ll kick you down there myself!"

Lin Feng’s expression darkened to an extreme degree. He couldn’t believe a mere kid dared to defy him. He raised a hand, pointed at Yi Tianyun, and said coldly, "The Celestial Extreme Mansion has no power, yet it’s so arrogant... Cripple him!"

The silent Spirit Pill Stage expert lunged at Yi Tianyun. The Great Elder moved swiftly to intercept, intending to block the attack for him. But Yi Tianyun was faster. He shot out a vicious kick. BANG! The Spirit Pill Stage expert was sent flying from the corridor. He crashed heavily onto the floor below, his body caving in from the impact. Clearly, that kick was anything but light!

"Your turn," Yi Tianyun said, walking toward Lin Feng.

Lin Feng and his men were dumbfounded. A Spirit Pill Stage expert had been sent flying with a single kick, defeated in an instant!

"You... you dare attack me? I-I’m from the Divine Rune Mansion..." Lin Feng’s body trembled, terrified by Yi Tianyun’s power.

"Get down there!"

Yi Tianyun lashed out with a vicious kick. Lin Feng hastily tried to block it, but there was no way he could withstand such a domineering blow. He was sent flying off the corridor and plummeted to the ground below.

THUMP! His breathing stopped completely.

"*Ding!* Successfully killed Lin Feng. Gained 23,000 Experience Points, 2,400 Madness Value, 30 Sin Value, and 500 Divine Rune Mastery Proficiency."

"*Obtained Heaven-Facing Technique and Celestial Yang Technique!*"

"*Obtained weapon: Purple Gold Feather Fan.*"

’Huh? He’s dead?’ Yi Tianyun was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected Lin Feng to be so fragile. He had only intended to teach him a lesson, but he didn’t think the man was so weak that a fall from the third floor would kill him.

But it didn’t matter. He couldn’t care less.

He followed up with a few more kicks, sending Li Huan and the rest flying off the corridor as well. They all plummeted to the ground and were severely injured. They were lucky, though; the fall didn’t kill them.

The group of them lay groaning in pain in the main hall. The fall had been a nasty one.

The expert silently got to his feet, picked up Lin Feng’s body, his eyes a mixture of fear and fury. He shot Yi Tianyun a venomous glare, then turned and left with the body, not saying a single word. Perhaps he was a mute, or perhaps he was simply too enraged to speak.

"Mansion Master, this... haven’t we taken things a bit too far?" The Great Elder was stunned as he looked down at the defeated disciples of the Divine Rune Mansion.

Mu Xian’Er, standing beside them, was equally shocked. She had seen Yi Tianyun act domineeringly before, but never like this. To attack without a second thought... ’They’re from the Divine Rune Mansion!’ she thought. ’A third-grade faction, far stronger than us!’

"Constant forbearance will only make us seem weaker and weaker, making people think we’re easy to bully." A glint flashed in Yi Tianyun’s eyes. "Since I am the Mansion Master, I must act for the sake of the Celestial Extreme Mansion and defend its dignity!"

The more you endure, the more you get bullied. His Merak Sect had been just like that, and their constant forbearance had only led to their annihilation!
