Chapter 793
The expedition to the dungeon for their field trip was going to be on the 20th floor of one of the beginner dungeons that infested Ormunda, according to the brochure that Anna’s advisor gave her. Avina, Normumu, and Alethea had the same brochure, so they were now planning what to do once they were inside.
Normally, the members of the group that would delve into the dungeon were random from the same year in the academy, but since the four of them were from influential families, it was not a problem for them to ask their teachers to group them together.
The dungeon’s name was simply called the Goblin’s Cave since the monsters inside the dungeon, which had 30 floors, were different variations of goblins. According to the brochure, the delve would last three days, which was the time they needed to complete the 20th floor.
The academy would hire powerful adventurers to guard them during delving, but there was a note on the brochure that if a team wanted to hire their own adventurers, they could do so. Rich wizard families would normally assign powerful warriors from their families in such cases to make sure that their scions were protected.
Since Anna’s father had several mercenary teams and she actually knew which ones Anders trusted the most, she told her dorm mates to allow two of the warrior slots to be given to her. She planned to ask Daniel and Ingrid, Anders’s Vice Captains, to accompany them in delving into the dungeon. She didn’t even have to worry about paying them since that would be handled by Raymond, the family butler.
Anna shook her head at her brother’s ability to find capable servants. Raymond was an exceptional butler, and she could attribute the stability of the manor to the butler’s very capable shoulders.
Her dorm mates agreed with her request. They basically knew everything about her and her family, so they knew that Anna’s father had capable mercenary teams that delved into dungeons. The third and fourth were claimed by Alethea and Avina, respectively.
According to the brochure, the dungeon monsters they would encounter were normal goblins, hobgoblins, spider goblins, vampire bats, and cave trolls. At first, Anna planned to bring the Insight Spear with her since the Meditation Aura from the spear that Anton gave her would allow her to cast her Sorceress spells almost nonstop, since the said aura would allow her to gather the energy that was a requirement to cast her Sorceress spells at an extremely fast rate. The issue was, during dungeon delving, a party would be created using the dungeon system, and since it worked almost the same as the party system from the Insight spear or the portal scrolls from Anton, that meant that her dorm mates and the four adventurers that would guard them would be under the influence of the Meditation Aura.
It would not be a problem with Daniel and Ingrid since they knew about the aura already. When they were delving with her father, Anders always carried the spear with him, and his party would always be under the effect of the said aura. Anna’s father only stopped using the Insight Spear since Anders’s class was also a Paladin and had also mastered the said aura as part of his class skills. Her father had even mastered switching between Paladin Auras to activate the ones that Anders thought would best help with whatever situation he was in.
Since she had decided not to share the effects of the Meditation Aura from the Insight Spear, it meant that she would have to leave the spear inside her storage item. Still, she had several powerful items that were given to her by Anton, and all of them could be considered legendary items. They were extremely powerful and would make her Sorceress skills extremely potent.
Thankfully, she still had a few of the minor mana potions that were given to her by Anton. Still, she planned to return to the Rose Manor to retrieve all the mana potions that remained there. Her father did not need them since Anders had Meditation Aura from his Paladin Class. Her father even left all the minor healing potions since Anders’s healing auras, like the Prayer or the Cleansing Auras, were very potent healing abilities. Anna was even a little envious of the Paladin’s skills since they were truly useful. The only reason she planned to keep the Sorceress Class was because of the Telekinesis and the Teleport skills. The Telekinesis was the skill that allowed Anton to fly effortlessly and carry things with him through the air. She remembered how Anton effortlessly carried their small boat using the said spell to travel from the middle of the ocean up until they reached the Gale Continent. The Teleport skill was an extremely powerful escape and traveling skill. She also had a few Portal Scrolls given to her by Anton. Her home base, that the scrolls would bring her to if she activated it, was the Rose Manor.
Anna and her four dorm mates started planning which things they would bring with them during the dungeon delving. Since all of them came from rich wizard families, all of them had storage items. She also had a few of the magic items that Anton had made, like the Frozen Orb air conditioner, the Fire Wall Stove that also functioned as a heater, and the Ice Bolt cup that produced water. The others, like that weird board that floated that she was supposed to use to escape during an emergency back on the Amelia, and her Ice Bolt wand, were already stored in her room in the manor.
What she wanted was that beautiful, small house that was given to Anton by the forest elves, but the issue was, even though she had already changed her storage item to a much bigger one, which cost the family a fortune, the space was still not enough for her to bring a small house with her. Half of her storage item was filled with delicious, cooked food. She had basically adapted her brother’s tendency to hoard delicious food. She also adapted her brother’s love for spells that make life convenient, so her Cleaning spells were especially potent.
Still, she also had a lot of offensive and defensive spells, since, unlike Anton’s unique magic that was full of powerful spells, she would need to depend on standard spells for offense and defense. That was her first thought, but now that she had the Sorceress class, soon, she would have powerful spells she could use for combat.
Suddenly, she thought of another class that she was extremely tempted to have instead of the Sorceress class. It was the Druid class. The summons from that class, at least the ones that Anton used, were extremely powerful, but according to her brother, the power of the summon reflected the summoner’s power, and that meant that, as a low-level class holder, her summons would not be powerful. At the very least, she still had the tiny raven and the tiny spirit wolf. Their only function was to be her toys, and even then, a lot of people looked at them covetously. Mostly, the young girls, since Anna’s tiny raven and tiny spirit wolf were extremely cute.
After their planning, Anna and her classmates asked permission to leave the academy to purchase all the things they would need during dungeon delving, and after receiving permission, they hastily exited the school. The four planned to spend the whole day shopping.
