Chapter 73: The Request

"Ohh, the Heaven Prison Formation..." The man smiled strangely after hearing Victor’s request.

He stared into Victor’s eyes as though wondering what exactly he planned to do with such a thing.

"I actually have two of them stored away," he said, causing Victor’s eyes to brighten.

If he already possessed two, then there would be no need for Victor to wait.

He would pay, and he would receive the item immediately.

Of course, Victor was not someone carrying countless treasures on his body, so whatever Master Five Elements demanded, he would still need to acquire first.

"Just tell me what you want," Victor said.

"Hahaha, it’s difficult for me to decide what I want. If I said I wanted to go on a date with your mother, could you help me make that happen?"

Victor, "..."

The man’s answer left him unsure whether to laugh or cry.

He was surprised by the sheer boldness of such words.

His mother was extraordinarily beautiful and overwhelmingly powerful.

Her talent was among the greatest since the world began.

Moreover, she was one of the three people who possessed ten points of Will Power.

What man would not desire her?

From the Heavenly Lightning Sect Master to the Iron Bloodline Clan Master—

Victor did not believe they were merely loyal to her.

But because the woman was simply too powerful, she could do whatever she pleased.

If she refused, who could force her?

"Have you fallen in love with my mother, Master?" Victor asked casually.

Margaret was not truly his mother. He did not feel the slightest offense over the matter.

When that woman tortured him, her words were even harsher than this.

"I’ve always admired her. A cruel beauty who can do anything she wants. Of course, I’m self-aware enough to know it’s impossible for me to truly have a relationship with her. But I do wish I could at least go on a date with her and tease her a little. I’m simply curious about the outcome. Even if the result is her wanting to kill me, it doesn’t matter at all. I’m strong enough to survive and escape. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to even get a brief chance to speak with her."

"If you became her follower, you might have that chance," Victor replied.

"Hahaha, that is indeed the easiest option. But I dislike becoming someone else’s subordinate, especially a woman’s. Don’t worry, I was only joking about that. How could you possibly make your mother date me?"

"I know you were joking..." Victor smiled.

There was no way Margaret would agree to something so absurd.

If she truly wished to help Victor, she could simply seize the Heaven Prison Formation from Master Five Elements by force.

Master Five Elements naturally understood this as well.

And he clearly would not allow Victor to leave and report this conversation to Margaret.

"Other than that, honestly, I’m not even sure what I should ask from you," Master Five Elements said.

"If you wish, I can even lend you my Great Heaven Weapon," Victor replied.

"If it’s only that, many sects would willingly lend one to me."

"Fine then, what exactly do you want from me? Or why not simply give it to me instead?"

Victor did not feel embarrassed asking for it freely since the other party could not decide on a proper request anyway.

"I heard your fiancée from the Heavenly Lightning Sect came to this city to retrieve her father’s legacy," Master Five Elements replied.

Victor frowned slightly upon hearing that.

"Do you know what kind of treasure it is?" Victor asked.

"Thunder Source," Master Five Elements answered.

"I’ve coveted it for a long time, but breaking through Thunder Monarch’s formation is utterly impossible. It was meant only for his daughter."

"What does this Thunder Source do?"

"An external power that can be directly fused with oneself. With it, even an ordinary human could instantly contend against peak cultivators. The only flaw is that their attacks would become extremely clumsy. You can compare it to someone with immense physical strength but no martial training. However, if a powerful cultivator like me used the Thunder Source, the result could make me one of the strongest beings alive."

"You want me to make Bella hand that over to you in exchange for just a Heaven Prison Formation?"

"Of course not. I only wish to borrow it."

"Borrow it forever, you mean?" Victor answered sarcastically.

"It should have been bound by Thunder Monarch through extreme methods so that it recognizes only his daughter as its master. I cannot borrow it forever. As long as you can help me borrow it, I’ll give you both formations I’ve stored away. Isn’t obtaining two better?"

"You promise?" Victor asked.

"Why would I lie? Just say that I’ll only borrow it for one day."

"Alright..." Victor nodded while standing up.

He would discuss the matter with Bella.

Naturally, he first needed to confirm whether the Thunder Source was truly under Bella’s control.

The moment he stood, Victor immediately left.

Evan had remained silent from beginning to end, merely following Victor the entire time.

He appeared to be lost in his own thoughts.

"What do you think? Is there any chance Master Five Elements could remove Bella’s control over the Thunder Source?" Victor asked him after they returned to the street.

"Young Master, tricks capable of destroying the painstaking arrangements of a World Monarch are difficult to imagine. Especially since Thunder Monarch was among the ten strongest World Monarchs," Evan voiced his thoughts.

"But if you’re uncertain, simply create a replica," Evan added.

"Oh? I’m sure your words have some basis. Explain it to me," Victor said.

A replica of such a high-level treasure?

Victor felt that sounded impossible.

"We can ask for help from the Iron Bloodline Clan Master. His iron can perfectly imitate anything. It can deceive even the eyes of stronger figures."

"Would it still deceive Master Five Elements once he uses the Thunder Source?"

"Yes... It doesn’t merely copy appearance, but also its power and functions, though in reality it’s only an illusion. The important thing is that the Iron Bloodline Clan Master touches the original object. Of course, replicating something like the Thunder Source would likely cost an enormous price. But I’m certain the Iron Bloodline Clan Master would help you."

"I see..." Victor nodded.

Naturally, everything depended on whether Bella agreed to cooperate.

And to make her agree, there was only one way.

After some time, Victor and Evan arrived before a smaller castle located beside the road.

It was guarded by disciples of the Heavenly Lightning Sect who looked extremely arrogant.

"You should remember me," Victor said upon arriving before them.

It took them a moment to recognize him because the last time he visited the sect, he had still been a thirteen-year-old boy.

Once they remembered him, their expressions immediately softened.

"So it’s Young Master Russell. Young Master, please enter," one of the young men said. He appeared to be around Victor’s age.

Victor felt the man resembled Bryce somewhat.

But he had no interest in learning more.

He looked toward Evan and said, "Wait here."

Afterward, he stepped into the castle.

This was clearly just a rented residence. There was no trace of the Heavenly Lightning Sect within the spacious living hall.

Victor immediately found Bella sitting on a sofa while examining a map.

She was no longer wearing armor, only a tight inner layer that fully covered her body.

Victor’s sudden arrival clearly surprised her.

"Did I make you wait long?" Victor asked with a faint smile.

"There’s no need for pleasantries. I need your help," the woman replied indifferently.

"Oh? My help?" Victor was slightly surprised.

However, instead of sitting across from her, Victor suddenly sat beside her and directly wrapped an arm around her slim yet curvaceous waist, which felt pleasantly soft.

"You—" The woman froze in shock.

"Isn’t this what you wanted?" Victor asked while pulling her into his embrace.

Bella’s cheeks quickly reddened.

Still, she remained calm as she stared at Victor’s face.

"Have you already grown tired of that Heavenly Woman?" she asked sarcastically.

"Why? Are you jealous?" Victor asked in return. "Right now, you’re my only fiancée."

"Hmph, what difference does it make if you’re dating her? It’s basically still cheating. Everyone talks about your relationship."

"Does that matter? In the end, you’re the only one officially tied to me. But I’m happy hearing your complaints. It proves that you truly want me."

"Hmph!" Bella snorted after hearing the last sentence.

"Since when?" Victor asked.

"Since when what?"

"Since when did you start liking me? Was it from the first time we met?"

"Bastard!" The woman tried to punch Victor’s chest, but he caught her hand.

"Let go," she said.

"Why the hurry? We’ve been engaged for so long, yet this is the first time we’ve embraced. I don’t believe you’re not enjoying it."

"Handle my matter first," Bella replied, trying to speak coldly, though her voice softened in the end.

Her words practically meant she did not mind.

Just not until after her matter was settled.

"So, what kind of help do you need from me?" Victor asked, though he still refused to release her from his embrace.
