Amid continuous bombardments, the brave Winter Wolf soldiers charged forward wave after wave against the Wolf People’s defenses, relying on the ruins. However, the terrain made it incredibly difficult to advance, leaving Old Qin struggling to find the right direction for support.

In desperation, Lord Qin called for "air strikes."

As twilight fell, a hundred Blood Vulture Bombers took off from behind the Maginot Line, guided by Old Baldwin the Necromancer’s ground spiritual energy for a precise bombing.

A hundred light aerial bombs were dropped in three waves, "washing" the relatively small outpost fortress repeatedly with incendiary bombs. Only then did they manage to clear out the Armed Gnolls on the outskirts, but to entirely reclaim the ruins, the Winter Wolf Army would have to enter the fortress ruins filled with a nauseating smell of roasted meat for step-by-step clearing.

Such dangerous work was evidently more cost-effective for fearless Foreign Spirit Heroes to handle, and General Baldwin didn’t stubbornly refuse Old Qin’s assistance this time.

The clearing continued until midnight to eradicate the resisting Wolf People, but neither Old Qin nor Baldwin could smile, as the collapsed outpost fortress symbolized a terrifying change.

Firearms and explosives were no longer exclusive weapons of the civilized faction; the Wolf People also lit up this "war technology" through "unexpected gains," and they had Gnoll Servants capable of underground tunneling.

The Hammer and Sickle Brigade, a guild formed by retired veterans in real life, faced the difficulty with little sentiment, silently organizing their gear, while other players were noisier, shouting slogans to kill the Wolf People and receiving explosives and victory wine from the Logistics Officer.

Although the tasks were indeed dangerous, they evidently did not believe the Wolf People could defeat them in the trenches. Previous battles had shown that as long as Undying Spirits were determined enough in close combat, they could overcome an equal number of Wolf People.
